Vin Diesel’s Son Joins “Fast & Furious 9” Cast

Since the film’s initial production, we’ve heard about the many new additions to the Fast & Furious franchise from Cardi B to Ozuna, but this new cast member is closer to the Furious family than you think. Vin Diesel’s 10-year-old son, Vincent Sinclair, will make his big-screen debut as the younger version of Vin’s character, Dominic Toretto.

According to TMZ, the young actor has a contract to be paid a daily rate of $1,005. Fans may remember a flashback scene of a young Dominic in Furious 7 played by an actor named Alex McGee, but now we will get to see if talent runs in the family.

While the 9th installment of Fast & Furious is set to be released on June 25th, Fast & Furious 10 already has a release date for April 2, 2022.

The Fast saga is set to end with the 11th film.  Of course, it has already been confirmed that the Fast & Furious crew is going to space. Although Furious 11 is scheduled to be the last film in the main franchise, several spin-offs are on the way

The latest trailer debuted during the Super Bowl LV. Check out it below.

Yaya Mayweather, Jackboy, & More Weigh In On NBA YoungBoy’s Arrest: Report

It was just hours ago when TMZ broke the story that NBA YoungBoy had been arrested by authorities on a federal warrant. According to CBS Los Angeles, it was around 11:00 a.m. this morning (March 22) in Tarzana, California when police attempted to pull over a vehicle YoungBoy was riding in. It’s reported that the car didn’t initially stop and there was a short pursuit, but when the vehicle did comply, YoungBoy allegedly jumped out and ran on foot. Authorities called in a K-9 unit that eventually tracked down the rapper’s location without incident.

Once news of YoungBoy’s most recent arrest began to circulate, the public began to weigh in. Yaya Mayweather, daughter of champion boxer Floyd Mayweather, wrote on her Instagram Story that her “day has been completely ruined.” Earlier this year, Yaya gave birth to YoungBoy’s son, Kentrell Gaulden Jr. The relationship status of the couple is unclear considering YoungBoy welcomed a daughter with another woman back in November and is said to be in a relationship with yet another young lady.

Rapper Jackboy also chimed in and wrote on his Instagram Story, “Ion Wish Jail On Nobody Tell Dem Send Me Dey Casy App Ima Buy Dey Whole Gang A Lil Sandwich While Bruh Gone.” In another slide, he added, “Or Ah Hot Dog Out Da Gas station N*ggas Ain’t Tripping Howeva.” Jackboy and YoungBoy previously had beef and last year, Jackboy and Kodak Black reportedly made YoungBoy toilet paper.

El Chapo’s Wife Declines Preliminary Hearing, May Be Sign Of Plea Deal

Mexican drug kingpin El Chapo’s wife Emma Coronel Aispuro has declined a preliminary hearing and is allowing the prosecution against her to proceed. According to court records that were filed on Friday, Aispuro has signed away her right to a preliminary hearing, which is usually a process where the prosecution presents evidence to a judge to prove they have enough to warrant a trial. According to legal experts, it’s incredibly rare for a defendant to waive these rights, and is usually an admission that the prosecution’s evidence is extensive.

According to California attorney Daniel Horowitz, the defendant’s most probable reason for doing this is that a plea deal is close to finalization. “What is her motive in doing that? Nine out of 10 times, it’s when there’s a deal in the works,” Horowitz said. “Generally, a defendant would want the grand jury to go forward, and at this point, the grand jury could indict her very quickly. This doesn’t mean she’s a snitch, but it does mean there’s very likely a deal in the works.”

Last month, El Chapo’s wife was arrested on counts of conspiracy to import one kilogram or more of heroin, five kilograms or more of cocaine, 1,000 kilograms or more of marijuana, and 500 grams or more of methamphetamine. We will likely know more soon if a plea deal has been finalized.

Cardi B Reads Off Her Accomplishments To Silence Haters After Breaking A Chart Record

Cardi B’s showstopping performance at the Grammy Awards last week launched her song “Up” to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. It officially becomes her fifth No. 1 single, which extends her record for the most chart-topping songs by a female rapper. Even with her accomplishments, Cardi still has her success questioned by everyone from talk show hosts to other rappers. So to silence her haters, Cardi made her achievements loud and clear.

Speaking directly to fans in a video posted to social media, Cardi detailed how critics only give her motivation to keep up the hard work:

“Y’all be claiming that, yeah, you want females to strive and all that, but that’s a lie — y’all be hating. Y’all keep asking how I do this, how I do that, blah, blah, blah. Let me tell you something because y’all like to bring all these excuses for my success. […] A b*tch is winning, get over with it. The more hate y’all think, the more harder I get, the more sh*t I have to talk about for my album. Stop hating. When I win, it doesn’t take away from other women’s success, neither. When another female wins, it doesn’t take away from nobody’s success so stop crying.”

Cardi then proceeded to read off the accolades that her single earned this week. Along with extending her record for the most No. 1 singles by a female rapper, “Up” earned 26.5 million streams last week alone. That makes it the most-streamed song of the week, and it also reportedly raked in $18,300 in sales.

Cardi B is a Warner Music artist. Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group.

The rapper is currently battling charges related to fraud after he and his reported associates stand accused of making illegal purchases with stolen goods. Herbo has denied the allegations against him and while prosecutors attempt to build a case, the rapper and his pregnant fiancée, Taina Williams, are moving forward and breaking ground on their new home.

Taina shared a first-look at her new digs on her Instagram where she shared a Boomerang of the home being built. “We live in a world and time where people get torn down for their accomplishments,” the rapper said. “Me personally, I feel like, when you see somebody comment or say something negative about a person or what they’re doing or where they are in life, it just tells you what kinda person that is that’s commenting or saying the negative thing about somebody.”

Herbo added that no one in life has it all figured out. Check out both clips below.

Jay-Z Autographed Trading Card Fetches $105,780 At Auction: Report

Billion-dollar businessman Jay-Z has continuously made profitable and influential moves that have proved lucrative for all who have their names attached to his companies. The rapper-turned-mega-mogul recently made headlines after inking a deal with Jack Dorsey and Square Inc. in the massive Tidal sell-off that made Carter just a few hundred million dollars richer. Someone else had a slight Ja-Z-related come up in recent weeks after one of his personally signed trading cards went up for auction.

According to Uproxx, the 2005 “Signs of Stardom” trading card was up for sale thanks to Goldin Auctions. The outlet reported that the autographed card was lingering around the $2,000 mark before a buyer went all out to make sure they were the new owner of Jay-Z-touched memorabilia.

The trading card was purchased for $105,780, and it’s reported that Jay-Z’s card fetched the most money ever for one that was of a non-sports figure. There are plenty of Hov fans out there that would love to get their mitts on a Hip Hop history collectible, but we’re not sure if most would dish out over $100K for a rapper’s trading card. Either way, it’s expected that this Jay-Z card will only increase in value in years to come.

Check it out below and let us know if you would pay big bucks for your favorite artist’s trading card.

Rachel Dolezal To Appear In Documentary About Black Beauty

The SXSW festival took place this past week, where artists of all industries, including film, music, and gaming, converge to showcase the best of what the arts have to offer. During the film section of the festival, a documentary called Subjects of Desire by director Jennifer Holness premiered. The film follows the North American shift of beauty ideals to those that embody Black female aesthetics, discussing how these features are often overlooked or seen as less desirable on Black women and yet praised on white women.

Exploring perspectives from both sides of the spectrum, the film includes a personality you might be surprised to see talking about Black beauty: Rachel Dolezal. In the film, Dolezal says she was forced into a “white mold” and had her spirit “repressed.”

“I’ve been called an insult to white women and an insult to Black women,” Dolezal says. “White women are angry because I did what they never would do and went further, like I put 110. I didn’t just be that white ally and do a little bit, I canceled my white privilege. I canceled my hair. For Black women, I feel like it’s a reaction to pain. It’s like a trigger to post-traumatic stress.”

While many found it strange that director Jennifer Holness included Dolezal in the film, she believes her perspective had to be included for a well-rounded discussion about appropriation and Black beauty standards.

“It wasn’t a commercial thought,” she told The Daily Beast. “It wasn’t like I thought, ‘Oh my God, if I put her in, it’ll be controversial!’ No, not at all. I’m doing a film on Black women and beauty and this is the first time that I’ve come across a white woman pretending to be Black for 10 years when there wasn’t a massive financial benefit.”
