Anthony Davis Injury Receives Update From Frank Vogel

Anthony Davis is one of the best players in the NBA when he is healthy. Last season, Davis was a top-five player in the league and he was a massive reason for why the Los Angeles Lakers were able to win an NBA championship inside of the Orlando bubble. This season, Davis had a bit of a slow start but he eventually found his rhythm. Unfortunately, an injury to his calf has kept him out of the lineup and it still seems to be giving him some trouble.

The team was optimistic that he would be back by early March, although at this point, he still needs to undergo frequent evaluations. In fact, Lakers head coach Frank Vogel recently spoke to reporters about Davis and had a concerning message. Basically, there is no real timeline for AD at this point.

“I really don’t want to get into every little detail on what he’s doing on each day. But he’s still a ways away,” Vogel said. This is not good news for the Lakeshow especially when you think about LeBron’s injury and how the team is currently shorthanded.

If you’re a Lakers fan, this is a nerve-wracking time although once they are full strength again, they will most certainly be among the best teams in the entire NBA.

Toronto rapper KILLY is officially back with the release of his new single and music video for “Pyro”.

This marks the first new release from KILLY this year but, from the sounds of it, he’ll be coming with a lot more heat in the coming months. Following up his Light Path 8 release in 2019, the Canadian rapper is back with an intense new sound that commands your attention. Rhyming over a nocturnal beat, KILLY races through the street in a fast car for the music video, directed by Gerard Joseph.

With a couple of projects in the works, it looks like this could be a big year for KILLY. Check out his new single below and let us know what you think of it.

Quotable Lyrics:

I done seen so many switch like a slideshow
So I stay around the fire like a pyro

Halle Bailey Stuns Everyone With A Flawless Cover of SWV’s “Rain”

Whenever a Verzuz is announced, it seems like artists in the music industry are just excited for the showdowns as fans and consumers are. Right around the time when City Girls’ Yung Miami was expressing interest and taking sides in a rumored Verzuz featuring legendary female rappers Lil Kim and TrinaHalle Bailey of Chloe x Halle appeared to have the upcoming “SWV V. Xscape” Verzuz on her mind, as she dropped off a flawless cover to one of SWV’s biggest hits.

At the start of the year, Halle Bailey and her sister, Chloe, finally created their own solo Instagram and Twitter accounts, and ever since then, the two singer-songwriters have been turning heads left and right with their captivating social media presence. Chloe Bailey recently left some great impressions on listeners with soulful covers of Yung Bleu’s “You’re Mine’s Still” and Silk Sonic’s “Leave The Door Open,” and now Halle is showing off her incredible vocal talents with a cover of SWV’s classic record “Rain.”

Having left the caption, “when you can’t sleep you sing,” it’s safe to say that Halle put a productive spin on her insomnia because her cover of “Rain” has left several artists, public figures, and fans impressed with her impeccable vocal performance. Starting off at the song’s second verse before diving into the song’s iconic hook, Halle’s TikTok cover of “Rain” further illustrates the sheer amount of talent shared between her and her sister’s group Chloe x Halle.

Which sister do you think has shared the best cover so far?

Shelley Is ‘Cooking With Grease’ In His Latest ‘Shelley Show’ Video

The rapper and singer formerly known as DRAM is turning up the heat on his release rollout, sharing the video for “Cooking With Grease.” Continuing the “Shelley Show” conceit from his last single release, “Exposure,” Shelley once again frames the video as a live performance on a fictional late-night talk show. Backed by his band, Shelley shows off his falsetto on a seductive, R&B throwback that portends more midnight storm-style jams to come.

Ever since officially changing his performance name on DSPs and social media, Shelley has leaned more than ever into his R&B side, which he previously teased on his debut album, Big Baby DRAM, his 2018 EP, That’s A Girl’s Name, and on singles like “The Lay Down” featuring H.E.R. and Watt. The “Shelley Show” rollout has cleverly addressed the musical shift as well, letting Shelley “interview” DRAM for more insight into the reasoning behind it.

“Cooking With Grease” also has a clever double meaning thanks to Shelley’s new quarantine hobby. He’s turned that hobby into a self-shot food show on YouTube called “Cooking With Grease,” in which he demonstrates his favorite healthy recipes, which helped him lose weight during the pandemic and emerge as a whole new man, figuratively and — well, also figuratively.

Bhad Bhabie Celebrates Her 18th Birthday With A Poolside Thirst Trap

It feels like yesterday when Danielle Bregoli first went viral following her appearance on Dr. Phil’s daytime talk show, in which the young woman-turned-rapper infamously told audience members who were critical of her irresponsible actions, “Cash me outside, how bow dah?” In reality, however, the viral incident happened roughly five years ago when Bregoli was 13 years old, and now the former out-of-control teenager has officially turned 18.

To celebrate her 18th birthday, the rapper, now known as Bhad Bhabie, posted a sultry new photo on her Instagram. Initially, Bregoli posted a suggestive picture that featured her laying down and seemingly shirtless, with her hair keeping the post PG by covering the top of her chest. In that post, the rapper wrote, “Happy birthday to me!!!! boutta go to the bank at 12:01.” The sheer number of laughing emojis utilized in her post was enough to illustrate how ecstatic Bhad Bhabie is to officially be an adult.

She quickly followed up her first birthday post with a revealing thirst trap that featured the rapper posing on the edge of a shimmering pool. In true thirst trap fashion, Bregoli left no caption to go along with the visual, but judging by her confidence in the steamy poolside picture, no explanation was needed.

The “Gucci Flip Flops” rapper is the latest Aries to celebrate their birthday, following Big Sean’s 33rd birthday yesterday, so Happy birthday Bhad Bhabie!

Young Thug Gets Back To Country-Rap With New Preview

Young Thug remains one of the most influential artists of his generation, constantly shifting the culture with his genre-bending displays of creativity. It’s impossible to put Thugger in a box, which is the reason why we love him so much. He could release a country album, a full-on rap project, a mixtape filled with rock songs, and pop-influenced sounds and it would still end up sounding ground-breaking.

As he continues to tease the upcoming releases of Slime Language 2 and PUNK, his solo album, Young Thug dropped off a teaser video of one of his latest efforts in the studio. What sounds like a collaboration with Young Stoner Life Records signee Gunna, the new song recalls 2017’s Beautiful Thugger Girls, a commercial mixtape that saw the artist dive deeper into his country-based inspirations.

The guitar-driven song is produced by Turbo, one of the YSL collective’s favorite young producers. It doesn’t sound much like anything on Thug’s latest album So Much Fun and it’s currently unclear which project this song was intended for. With the inclusion of Gunna on an additional verse, it’s quite possible that this record will be included on Slime Language 2, which is the label’s compilation project.

Listen to the latest snippet from Young Thug and let us know if you want more music in this realm from the 29-year-old mastermind.

Detroit Rapper Tay B Grabs Lil Durk For New Single “Stashbox”

One of the hottest rappers in the world right now, Chicago drill star Lil Durk is back with yet another feature on buzzing Detroit artist Tay B’s new single “Stashbox”.

Tay B has been making noise locally for a minute but he’s about to make a larger splash, coming through with his latest single, which is likely to become his biggest song yet. “Stashbox” features Lil Durk, who has been going on quite the run as of late. The single is accompanied by a brand new music video, directed by Jerry Productions. It tells the story of misplaced anger and rage, as well as the feeling of being misunderstood as a whole.

Durkio makes an appearance in the video, helping Tay B tell the story with striking visuals.

Quotable Lyrics:

And I’m a bougie street n***a, I had bad thots
He swung the dough and put a nickel in his dreadlocks
My n***as junkies, mixin’ Percocets and pink Runtz
That sh*t be crazy, goin’ federal for street money

RIco Nasty’s Playful ‘P*ssy Poppin’ Video Lets A Different Body Part Do The Talking

While Rico Nasty is better known for her rebellious lyrics than her raunchy ones, that doesn’t mean she won’t get sexual when the situation calls for it — and with a title like “P*ssy Poppin,” her latest single from Nightmare Vacation definitely calls for it. The racy video features Rico’s signature surreal twists, but still probably shouldn’t be viewed at work.

It opens with Rico and a male lover in a bed draped with silk sheets as Rico writhes and toys with what looks suspiciously like a two-foot erection under the sheets. Rico also pulls out some silly costumes, dressing up as a human valentine and, yes, as an anthropomorphic penis. In her valentine costume, visual effects put Rico’s mouth, rapping the lyrics to the song, squarely between her legs, letting her “other” lips do the talking. The effect winds up more comedic than sexy but with Rico, that kind of goes with the territory.

“P*ssy Poppin” is the latest single from the DMV area rapper’s elaborate debut, which also boasted similarly wacky videos for “iPhone,” “Own It,” “OH FR?,” and “STFU.”

Young Dolph And Key Glock Are Ice-Cold In Their NSFW ‘Penguins’ Video

After releasing three singles, “Case Closed,” “Aspen,” and “Sleep With The Roaches,” Young Dolph and Key Glock dropped their Dum And Dummer 2 joint mixtape today/last night, sharing one more video this morning/afternoon: The borderlined-NSFW “Penguins.”

As you may have already figured out, “Penguins” is yet another metaphor for how icy the two Memphis rappers are, and while the video eschews the high-concept theme of the similarly-titled “Aspen,” it gets the job done when it comes to showing off their wealth. For one thing, their complementary Rolls-Royce’s are prominently featured, as is Glock’s truly ridiculous jewelry collection.

The duo stops for gas on the way to the strip club, performing about half the song by the pumps, then spends the rest of the video rapping next to a different kind of pump. If you’re lucky (or unlucky, depending on how you look at it) enough to have returned to working in an office, you may want to wait ’til you get home to watch the full video; although most of the naughtiest parts are helpfully blurred, you might still end up with a lot of explaining to do.
