Bebe Rexha Chops & Screws A Classic On “Amore” Ft. Rick Ross

Putting her spin on Dean Martin’s classic is Bebe Rexha. The Pop singer delivered her sophomore studio album Better Mistakes on Friday (May 7), and the album is stacked with hitmakers including Ty Dolla $ign, Doja Cat, Lil Uzi Vert, and Rick Ross. The singer shared that she’s been sitting on Better Mistakes for some time and told Billboard that because the pandemic delayed the project further, she had time to mix things up and play with different genres.

“It’s funny, because I had this super-focused album that was all in the ‘Empty,’ ‘Death Row,’ ‘Break My Heart Myself’ world, and ‘My Dear Love’ was still in there to go a little more Hip Hop,” said the singer. “But then sitting on the album was driving me crazy, listening to all these sad songs. When you sit on an album for two years, two-and-a-half years, you’re gonna want to change it. So I had to fight myself not to change a lot — but I threw ‘Sacrifice’ in there, and ‘Amore.’ I threw in different genres, and that’s what I wanted.”

Check out Rick Ross assisting Bebe Rexha on her slow-burning single and share your thoughts.

I remember time when I’m never finished, like a set of rims, Rozay always spend it

Kodak Black Taps Pooh Shiesty & Syko Bob For “Rip Stick”

Fans knew that something was brewing between Kodak Black and Pooh Shiesty when the two rappers popped up on Instagram Live together. The pair had previously engaged in a short-lived beef after Kodak argued that he launched the money-spreading trend taking over social media, but in the end, the Florida star decided it wasn’t a big enough deal to make an enemy over.

In fact, during our Rise & Grind interview with Pooh Shiesty at the top of March, the Memphis native listed Kodak as one of his Top 5 artists, dead or alive. “I’m gon’ put me on there, BIG30, Gucci Mane, Kodak Black, and Chief Keef,” said Shiesty. “I don’t even care about nobody else. Them five right there.”

Kodak recently shared his single “Rip Stick,” a track that hosts features from Pooh Shiesty and Syko Bob, but its unclear if this is a one-off or apart of a greater project. We’re sure Kodak will let us know more in the future, but for now, stream “Rip Stick” and let us know what you think.

You ain’t p*ssy boy, rob, I been mackin’ on the block
Put a knife on the chopper, I call it a chop
The crack rectangle, I call it a rock

Idaho School Shooting: Sixth-Grade Girl Injures 2 Students, 1 Teacher

America is facing the fallout of yet another school shooting, this time in Idaho. Yesterday (May 7), reports circulated that there had been a shooting at Rigby Middle School in Rigby, Idaho. Exact details of what occurred are still being pieced together by authorities, but it has been widely reported that the shooter has been identified as a sixth-grade girl.

The child is said to have reached inside of her backpack, pulled out a gun, and began to open fire, injuring three.

Two students and a member of the school’s staff, a custodian named Jim Wilson, were shot before Krista Gneiting, an eighth-grade math teacher, disarmed the child. It has been reported that all victims will recover from their injuries and Wilson has been released from the hospital. As of Friday morning, the two students remain hospitalized but a doctor shared that they might be able to return home before the day’s end.

The school suspended classes in order for students to take a “mental health day.” The sixth-grade shooter is being held in juvenile detention. Gneiting has praised for her efforts in stopping a shooting that could have turned deadly. She shared her gratitude for the kind words over on Facebook.

“My heart is touched by all the incredible outpouring of love I’ve received,” she wrote. “Thank you. I don’t want money. I just appreciate the incredible support of Rigby!!! I love my students so much! It is why I teach!!” A GoFundMe set up for Wilson has reportedly reached over $20K. Check out news broadcasts covering the frightening event below.

Casanova 2x’s Wife Spits Rhymes About Rapper: “I Had To Do It For My Baby”

It has been just over five months since Casanova turned himself over to federal authorities and each day is agony for his wife, Jasmere Corbett, or Swaggy Jazzy. The rapper was named in an indictment against 18 alleged members of the Untouchable Gorilla Stone Nation Gang and has pleaded not guilty to conspiracy charges involving racketeering and distributing controlled substances, as well as firearm possession. The gang itself has been tacked with a litany of charges including the murder of a 15-year-old and fraud.

Casanova has repeatedly denied the allegations against him and Corbett has regularly taken to social media to share moments with her husband, even behind bars. Earlier today (May 7), Corbett shared a video of herself on social media where she spit a few bars about holding down her man as she pleads for his return.

“Even though this situation ugly, He ain’t run he just wanted to hug me!” she wrote in the caption that matches her lyrics. “Y’all know I had to do it one time for my baby.” In the clip, Corbett rhymes, “I hope that you hearing this / Please don’t shed a tear to this / ‘Cause word to my period / I’mma visit monthly / I try not to lose my sanity / Please judge don’t take away my family again / Not Again / Because if I can’t break him out I’m breakin’ in.”

Swizz Beatz Explains Airing Out Frustrations At Memorial For DMX

Often, artists speak about the love that they have for one another or take to social media to give those that they admire their “flowers,” but sincerity is difficult to come by in the music industry. There have been plenty of stories shared over the years about snakes, sharks, scammers, and double-dealers, but sometimes, two artists come together to form a lifelong bond like Swizz Beatz and DMX.

The world suffered a tremendous loss when DMX passed away, and Swizz stood by the rapper’s side until the end. The pair have referred to one another as brothers, and during X’s memorial service, Swizz addressed those who hurried to get their exclusive passes to DMX’s funeral but were absent when he was hurting.

It was a moving moment that has been viewed online by millions in the weeks that have passed, and during his recent interview with Angie Martinez, Swizz explained why he decided to speak up. He said that fans had shown DMX “a lot of love,” but it was “the other love he was looking for and I don’t think he got a lot of” it.

“And that’s what made me want to say what I said at his homegoing because I was dealing with a lot of that on the other side,” said Swizz. “And I was with X a lot. Especially even recently, back to back. So, I was very current in his life and understanding where he was at and what he was going through. And so, when I started seeing things, as his brother, naturally, it just bothered me. I couldn’t help but say what I said. And I meant what I said.”

Angie wanted to know if Swizz was referring to industry people or other artists. “Friends, family members, business members, you name it. There’s a bucket of those people that I was talking to because they all got they different things with him. I got to see all sides. It’s just like, a lot of people just always wanna take advantage at the wrong time. I don’t like none of that.”

Swizz was then praised for being a genuine, authentic friend to DMX throughout his triumphs and trials, but the megaproducer graciously thanked Angie for the compliments but added he was just doing what he was supposed to do. Watch Swizz Beatz chop it up with Angie Martinez below.
