ASAP Rocky Thinks Rihanna Is ‘The One’ And ‘The Love Of My Life’

In late 2020, it was rumored that ASAP Rocky and Rihanna had started dating. Indeed, the two are a happy couple, and in a new GQ profile, Rocky offered an update of how things are going by declaring that she is “the one.”

The piece notes that when Rihanna was mentioned to Rocky, “he starts beaming like a teenager whose crush just accepted his prom invite.” It also notes that Rocky calls her “the love of my life” and “my lady.” Later, he was asked what it’s like to be in a relationship and he responded, “So much better. So much better when you got the One. She amounts to probably, like, a million of the other ones. […] I think when you know, you know. She’s the One.”

He also seems open to the prospect of fatherhood, saying, “If that’s in my destiny, absolutely. I think I’m already a dad! All these motherf*ckers are already my sons — whatchu talkin’ ’bout! [laughs] Nah, but like, I think I’d be an incredible, remarkably, overall amazing dad. I would have a very fly child. Very.”

Elsewhere, he spoke about visiting Barbados (from where his father emigrated to the US) with Rihanna, saying it was a moving experience: “It was like a homecoming thing. It was crazy. I always imagined what it would be like for my dad, before he came to America. And I got to visit those places, and believe it or not, there was something nostalgic about it. It was foreign but familiar.”

Kevin Abstract Signals Brockhampton’s Final Run & Talks “Technical Difficulties”

In April, Brockhampton dropped off Roadrunner: New Light, New Machine, the group’s first album since its lauded 2019 effort Peaches. Featuring artists such as A$AP Rocky, Charlie Wilson, Danny Brown, and SoGone SoFlexy, Brockhampton’s new album was received massive critical acclaim and debuted at the eleventh spot on the Billboard 200. Unfortunately for fans of the boy band, the game-changing collective reportedly only has one album left in its queue.

However, this isn’t the first time the group has alluded to being in final album mode. According to Complex, Brockhampton frontrunner Kevin Abstract previously dropped the bombshell that Roadrunner: New Light, New Machine would be BH’s second-to-last record, and today, the Arizona Baby artist hit Twitter to further elaborate on Brockhampton’s soon-approaching coda.

Over a series of tweets, Abstract touched on the group’s forthcoming final album while denying any skepticism that Brockhampton’s members were parting ways due to any drama or negativity. In the first tweet, he prefaces the group’s imminent departure by saying, “we all love each other and we wanna continue making the best music we can.”

“everybody just getting a lil older and got a lot to say outside of group projects,” Abstract continues. “we’ve dedicated the last ten years of our lives to making music together this next project we’re just doing what’s rite.”

After confirming that Brockhampton’s follow-up to Roadrunner: New Light, New Machine will be the band’s final offering, Kevin Abstract also revealed that they still hopes to treat fans with Brockhampton’s scrapped Technical Difficulties project, even if it arrives after the group’s official final album.

“still wanna try to get technical difficulties out at some point…just hella samples to clear,” Abstract says. “so i wouldn’t even be surprised if that came after the last album…But we really want that out.”

Are you bummed out that Brockhampton is nearing its final album or are you merely excited to hear what the group has in store for its swan song?

Eminem’s Cult Horror Classic “Relapse” Kicked Off With “3 A.M”

Twelve years ago to this day, Eminem returned from a lengthy hiatus to release Relapse, his first album since 2004’s Encore. Produced in near-entirety by Dr. Dre, who turned in some of the most cinematic and disturbing work of his career, the project emerged as a loosely conceptual homage to horror. At the center stood an accented and maniacally depraved Slim Shady, firmly entrenched in the persona of a fictitious serial killer and determined to sow carnage.

Following “We Made You,” a clear attempt to follow the tradition of a “radio-friendly” lead single, “3 A.M” arrived to set the record straight. Fueled by a menacing Dre instrumental, Em whips together labyrinthian flows as he weaves violent tapestries. Drawing clear inspiration from notorious Silence Of The Lamb antagonist Buffalo Bill — the killer who may very well be Eminem’s main inspiration, alongside Psycho’s Norman Bates — Em set the table for an album that would one day become widely regarded as a cult classic.

In fact, it’s become increasingly common to see Relapse regarded among his best bodies of work — a contrasting opinion to his own, which still seems rather tepid about the project. Here’s hoping that Em can begin to see Relapse in a new light; as fans already know, its long-lost sequel currently remains indefinitely vaulted. Yet as any good horror aficionado knows, Em included — nothing stays buried forever.

Out the corner of his cornea, he just saw ya run
All you want is to rest ’cause you can’t run anymore, you’re done
All he wants is to kill you in front of an audience
While everybody is watching in the party, applauding it
Here I sit, while I’m caught up in deep thought again
Contemplating my next plot again
Swallowin’ a Klonopin while I’m noddin’ in and out on the ottoman

Nicki Minaj Spikes Overall Crocs Demand By A Huge Percentage

We previously reported that after Nicki Minaj returned to social media wearing her bright pink Crocs with Chanel-inspired accessories, the Barbz rushed over to buy several pairs of their own, crashing the website and ultimately spiking sales by 4900% for pink clogs. New figures suggest that the Queen’s follow-up moves, which included her flaunting black and blue Crocs on the ‘Gram, have brought about a similar sales spike for Crocs, which means that Nicki is pretty much single-handedly bringing back everyone’s favorite ugly (yet insanely comfortable) shoes.

According to the latest statistics from The Sole Supplier, Nicki Minaj has caused a global spike in Crocs sales, speaking to her influence and power across the globe. As the Barbz continue spending their money on Crocs, the report notes that there has been an average 3000% increase in demand for the shoes.

Having sported blue and black Crocs in her most recent photos and videos, Nicki has personally attributed to a 1330% sales spike for blue clogs and a 2400% surge for the black ones. She’s been accessorizing her kicks with tons of flashy Jibbitz too, with reports noting a 170% increase in popularity for those.

At this point, it sure seems as though Nicki could become the next major ambassador for Crocs. She’s basically carrying the brand on her back as it is.

What do you think of these numbers? Pretty impressive, right?

A post shared by Demi Lovato (@ddlovato)

The “Sorry Not Sorry” artist explained that they made the announcement to encourage people with genderqueer identities to live their truth. “This has come after a lot of healing & self-reflective work. I’m still learning & coming into myself, & I don’t claim to be an expert or a spokesperson. Sharing this with you now opens another level of vulnerability for me. I’m doing this for those out there that haven’t been able to share who they truly are with their loved ones. Please keep living in your truths & know I am sending so much love your way.”

Bobby Shmurda Gets Experimental With The Flow

Following his recent release from a lengthy prison sentence, beloved New York rapper Bobby Shmurda has been steadily putting in work on his comeback project. Foregoing the expected tradition of releasing a “First Day Out” single, Shmurda has instead opted to take his time, having been spotted in the studio with Zaytoven, Mike WiLL Made-It, and more.

Since then, Shmurda has left breadcrumbs for fans to follow, taking to Instagram to showcase a few glimpses of his handiwork. Most recently, he took a moment to preview one of his most experimental tracks thus far, during which he employs a melodic flow vaguely reminiscent of Bone Thugs-N-Harmony.

Over what sounds like a build-up, Shmurda locks in over a rapid-fire piano arpeggio. “There’s money to be made, and I’m just sayin’ ya’ll be playin’,” he spits, his cadence in unfamiliar territory. “Shawty trying to pop it in my face, I’m like quit playin’ ho / As-salaamu Alaikum ho, I don’t eat no bacon.” He cuts off the snippet before the beat can land, but it stands to reason that the drums aren’t far behind.

Unfortunately for Bobby, many listeners weren’t exactly feeling the rapper’s new style, flooding the comments with disapproval of the direction. Perhaps we’ll see a different response when the full version lands, as it can sometimes be difficult to see the full picture when presented with a fragment. We hope that the wait for Bobby’s comeback tape isn’t too much longer, as it will be interesting to see how Shmurda adapts to a game that has changed drastically since he was last active.

Check out Bobby’s new snippet below, and sound off with your thoughts and expectations in the comments below.
