Lil Kim Verzuz Battle Teased By Swizz Beatz

Following last night’s Verzuz battle between Eve and Trina on Instagram Live, series co-creator Swizz Beatz has already planted the seeds for an upcoming episode. In the live comment section, Beatz was seen commenting “Lil Kim vs Who??????????????????” in an attempt to build up hype for future iterations of the show.

Naturally, Swizzy’s comment was captured and immortalized as a screenshot, immediately sparking debate as to who could face off in a head-to-head against Kim.

According to the comments section of a recent Shade Room post, an overwhelming amount of fans would like to see Kim go up against New York rapper Foxy Brown. The two have a tenured history of tense competition between one another since they both rose to prominence in a similar era, and they’ve also exchanged diss tracks throughout their careers. Other fans clamored for rap queen Nicki Minaj to take on Lil’ Kim on the Verzuz stage.

The Verzuz series has been an exciting form of entertainment for fans of hip-hop over the past year, pitting producers and artists against one another as they run through their extensive discographies of iconic beats, verses, and songs. It all started in March 2020 when producers Swizz Beatz and Timbaland hopped on Instagram Live to square off their classic beats and let the fans decide who the victor was.

These shows have allowed fans to reminisce while debating and arguing over social media who won the matchups, extending the music and cultural conversation beyond the show’s runtime. And clearly, it seems fans are ready for Lil’ Kim to bless the Verzuz stage.

Asian Doll Responds To Foolio, Promises To Be Respectful Of King Von

After getting into online spats with King Von’s sister Kayla B and being called out by Foolio, Asian Doll is taking the high road. She’s carried the “Queen Von” banner since the Chicago rapper was murdered last November. Doll has received a tattoo of a portrait of Von and purchased a life-like iced-out chain, but as she was grieving his loss publicly, there were others who criticized her, accusing the rapper of overdoing it.

Yesterday (June 16), we reported on Foolio saying that if anything happens to him, “don’t be an Asian Doll.” She responded with a scathing tweet. “But when some do happen to you watch nobody give no f*ck [crying laughing emojis],” she wrote. “Get off n*gga d*ck tho fan ass n*gga.”

Asian Doll also addressed her recent controversies, including the public learning that a woman is allegedly pregnant with Von’s child. “As long as von in the situation ima always be respectful cause I’m not finna be out here looking slow gang,” she tweeted. “He can’t speak for himself & I ain’t finna speak for him. Be safe out here y’all.”

“I’m not arguing with nobody tho fasho my whole like will do the talking,” Doll added. Check out the posts below.

Naomi Osaka To Miss Wimbledon: Report

Just a few weeks ago, superstar tennis player Naomi Osaka made headlines as she claimed that she would not be doing press during her time at the French Open. This decision was met with a lot of vitriol and eventually, she was fined by the tournament. Following this fine, Osaka withdrew from the competition completely, and issued a statement in which she got very real and personal about her issues with mental health and how it has affected her relationship with the media.

Numerous tennis players showed solidarity with Osaka and while her presence was missed, there is no denying that she had an impact on the tournament as a whole. Now, it is being reported by TMZ that she will also miss Wimbledon and that she intends on using the time off to spend some time with her friends and family while also getting her mental health right.

The tennis champion did note, however, that she will be back in time for the Olympics and that she is excited to represent her country. Osaka is one of the biggest tennis stars in the world right now, and the sport is a lot better when she’s playing. However, it’s great to see her taking control of her mental health, and seeking help as opposed to letting things bottle up.
