Coi Leray Tells Public To “Live A Little” After Being Teased Over Playful Cereal Freestyle

Her raps have often caused her to face off with Hip Hop fans but Coi Leray has made it clear that she isn’t concerned with the naysayers. The rising rapper has been enjoying her time in the spotlight, and after being named in this year’s XXL Freshman class as well as taking to the Rolling Loud Miami stage, there isn’t much that could knock Leray off her pedestal. In recent months, she has found herself to be a trending topic after videos have been shared online, including her XXL Freshman freestyle.

The cypher included the likes of Lakeyah, Morray, and DDG, but Leray’s addition didn’t bode over well with Hip Hop fans. She returned repeatedly to state that she felt as if she had one of, if not the best inclusion in the cypher series, but many came forward to disagree.

Regardless of the criticisms, Leray has taken to her TikTok to have a bit of fun while dropping a few bars off the dome. She looked to be out and about in the grocery store, all masked up while delivering a freestyle about cereal. Someone was helping her by holding down the beatboxing off-camera, and the moment reminded people of when Papoose dropped his freestyle about our favorite breakfast brands.

Leray responded to her rhymes about cereal going viral following criticisms. “Y’all be so stuck on Birkin Bags and scamming n*ggas,” she wrote. “I can’t even have fun and rap about cereal. Yall weird. Live a little. It’s more to live than the same sh*t you see everyday!!!”

Check out her cereal raps as well as Papoose’s freestyle below.

Noreaga Didn’t Know Rappers Were “Making Up Sh*t” In Their Rhymes Early On

By now, Rap fans know that many of their favorite artists often exaggerate, sometimes heavily, when writing songs. Many who have penned rhymes about killing people, hooking up with women, dealing drugs, and other deeds haven’t come close to living the lives they’ve spun tales about, but it has become such a staple in music that fans no longer seem to mind.

Beanie Sigel recently joined Noreaga and Co. on Drink Champs, and during their conversation, N.O.R.E. revealed that early on in his Rap career, he didn’t know that his peers were embellishing the truth. “When I first came into the game, when I first started rappin’, I didn’t know how to exaggerate,” said Noreaga. “I didn’t know that other rappers were making up sh*t in they raps.”

“So, a person had to tell me, ‘Relax. Like, you can’t be puttin’ all that sh*t.'” He asked Beanie if he went through a similar struggle. “I feel like in your early sh*t, you went through the same sh*t,” Noreaga added, saying that he didn’t know that rhymes weren’t supposed to include so much truth about an artist’s life. Beanie seemed to agree. “Everything was personal… I think you supposed to still do that,” said Sigel. “If you ain’t going through it, at least you got knowledge firsthand or next to it. Everything is a facade now. There’s no substance in it.”

Siegel suggested that music is “supposed to resonate” with people and believes that truth-tellers are needed. Check out the clip of the discussion as well as the full video of their Drink Champs appearance below.

Safaree Samuels Gets Scolded By Mother Over How He Treats Erica Mena

His antics have always caused him to trend in some capacity, but in recent months, Safaree Samuels has been taking hits due to his marriage with estranged wife Erica Mena. Years ago, the couple played out their love story for a global audience as they touted their love on reality television, even marrying on Love & Hip Hop. However, things took a turn this year and just weeks after announcing they were expecting their second child together, the couple shared that they were divorcing.

Both Safaree and Erica have to watch the memories of their relationship on TV with the rest of the world, reliving moments that they would probably rather not rehash. Some of their internet exchanges have also been rather controversial, as Erica has accused Safareee of taking up with Joe Budden’s ex and leaving her alone with their newborn while the baby was in the NICU.

On tonight’s (August 2) episode of Love & Hip Hop Atlanta, Safaree met up with his mother, and to say that she was disappointed with his recent behaviors is an understatement. Safaree revealed that Erica was six months along when he found out about the pregnancy and they were sleeping in separate rooms. “There was so much turmoil and us not getting along,” he said.

His mother told him that with marriage comes arguments, but he needed to learn not to shut down. “You create problems when you do that,” she said. “You get upset and you start tweeting. I don’t like that, man. And you know you wasn’t raised like that. You know. You know when it comes down to women, the utmost respect.”

She told her son that when she sees him do and say such things, it both “hurts” and “embarrasses” her. Check out the clip below.

Dr. Dre “Detox” Rumors Get New Life Thanks To Grandmaster Flash

At this point, Detox has become a piece of Hip Hop folklore. There have been several artists who have spoken about the record and after Detox suffered reported leaks, it seemingly was shelved for the time being. Some have made claims that Dr. Dre still planned on delivering the album in some form, if not as Detox then with some other project, and Hip Hop legend Grandmaster Flash has fueled the flame of those rumors with an Instagram post.

Yesterday (August 1), the Bronx icon uploaded a photo of himself with Dr. Dre and let the world know that the Aftermath mogul has been hard at work in the studio.

“GRANDMASTER FLASH & DR. DRE Here in LA doing the Disco Oasis with Nile Rogers tonite,” Flash wrote. “I get a call from one of my heroes he invites me to the CRIB he takes me down to the STUDIO he played me a project that will change the game!!” That news alone was enough to set the internet ablaze.

“Totally incredible, we top off the day for 2hrs talkin about Music, Family Health and Life thanks for the Invite Dr Dre.” There have been plenty of artists looking to work with Dre, including Rakim who wants to reunite with his collaborator on a potential joint record. Earlier this year, Dem Jointz hinted that Detox could arrive before 2021’s end.

Guapdad 4000 Claps Back At Yung Baby Tate Fan Who Wouldn’t Upgrade His Airline Seats

Fans are known to get emotionally involved in their favorite artist’s personal business and Guapdad 4000 is feeling the wrath of Yung Baby Tate’s supporters. We previously reported on the Bay Area rapper getting air time on the latest season of Love & Hip Hop Atlanta as his relationship—or situationship—with Yung Baby Tate was played out for a global audience. Guapdad received backlash with how he handled letting Tate down gently as he faced accusations that he was gaslighting her.

Tate recently shared a message from someone who said they saw how Guapdad treated her on Love & Hip Hop so they took matters into their own hands when they saw him in person. “I saw that guy that you were dating on lhh he was at my job (Spirit Airlines) with some Asian chick, he had the nerve to ask if I could get them better seats,” the person wrote to Tate.

“I was like sorry sir the plane is full then proceeded to give them sh*tty seats,” they continued. “F*ck you mean stop playing with Baby Tate, lol I could have kept this to myself but I thought mhmm she might find this amusing lol!” Tate expressed love for her fans but Guapdad didn’t find it funny.

“I just found out an employee at @SpiritAirlines denied me access to better seats even though i offered to pay,” he tweeted. “Because of a bias she has for a rapper from TV.” He added that he was off to attend his brother’s wedding during his birthday weekend and said, “Thanks for broadcasting my travel information.”

Baby Tate was unfazed and commented on the controversy by sending off a subliminal shot. “Imagine the type of person you have to be to try to get someone fired during a global pandemic,” she wrote. Swipe below to read through it all.

49ers Star Nick Bosa’s GF Deletes Twitter After Several N-Word Tweets Resurface

An NFL player has been caught in the crossfire of controversy after his girlfriend’s racist tweets have come back to haunt both of them. San Francisco 49ers star Nick Bosa has caused a stir over his support of former President Donald Trump and his stance on the COVID-19 vaccine, and while many have dismissed his incendiary remarks, they weren’t letting comments from his girlfriend Jenna Berman go ignored.

Those old tweets have been known to bite people in the behind and Jenna is feeling the wrath of the internet. Several have been shared, including one that reads, “I swear to you I’m a n*gger magnet… [crying laughing emojis].”

Many of Jenna’s tweets showed she was quite comfortable saying the n-word in both its “er” and “a” forms, including calling people “f*ck nggas” and “b*tch n*ggas.” The tweets were reportedly fired off for years between 2013 to 2016 when Jenna was a teenager, but people aren’t letting her get a free pass just because she was a minor at the time.

Currently, Jenna calls herself a social media influencer and the controversy has been so severe that she’s deleted her Twitter altogether. The public is curious as to how the 49ers will handle this scandal considering the messages didn’t specifically come from one of their players. However, some have suggested that Bosa is aware of his girlfriend’s behavior.
