Piers Morgan Quits “Good Morning Britain” After Storming Off Set

Piers Morgan has found himself under fire on several occasions but his recent comments on Meghan Markle appear to have been the final straw for ITV who confirmed that he has quit Good Morning Britain. During a recent conversation surrounding Meghan and Harry’s recent interview with Oprah, Morgan said that he doesn’t “believe a word she says” following claims Markle suffered from suicidal thoughts and alleged racism in Buckingham Palace.

“Following discussions with ITV, Piers Morgan has decided to leave Good Morning Britain,” a statement from ITV says. “ITV has accepted this decision and has nothing further to add.”

The announcement comes just after broadcasting regulator Ofcom announced that they were launching an investigation into Piers Morgan’s comments after receiving upwards of 41K complaints. “We have launched an investigation into Monday’s episode of Good Morning Britain under our harm and offence rules,” the statement from Ofcom reads.

Piers’s announcement that he quit the show also comes after a tense final appearance where he stormed off of the set after the Weather presenter Alex Beresford put him on blast. Beresford called out Piers for still being deep in his feelings because Meghan Markle once ghosted him. “I understand you have a personal relationship with Meghan Markle or had one and she cut you off. She’s entitled to cut you off if she wants to. Has she said anything about you since she cut you off? I don’t think she has but you continue you trash her,” she said. Not one to be questioned apparently, Piers stormed off the set before ITV made the announcement this morning.

Needless to say, not many people will be missing his presence on air.

Locksmith & Slug Rep The Underground On “Fantasy World”

Locksmith has been putting in work of late, and today the lyricist has linked up with a kindred spirit in Slug for “Fantasy World.” Featuring some additional vocals from Rebecca Nobel, the Apathy-produced track allows both emcees to put in work and flex their penmanship. Kicking things off is Slug, who brings his distinctive style to the mix as he reflects on his circumstances with poetic precision.

“I’m exhausted, got bags underneath my heart,” he raps. “But I’ll liberate your car before my people starve / I’m swimming through the garbage with maggots and artists / face down drowning in the shaggest of carpets.” Locksmith steps in to play the counterpart, stylistically different from Slug though no less lyrically-focused. “Made for the people that’s only seeking acceptance,” he spits. “Rather just pretend than accept the skin you dressed in / why even address it? Me I got a bone to pick / better a fish to fry, you cappin? A big surprise.”

Should you consider yourself to be a fan of underground hip-hop, you’d be wise to check this one out immediately — it even comes equipped with an amusing video, brought to life by director Justin Marmo.

Lil Uzi Vert Gifts Fabolous’ Son Merch & $5,000 In Cash For 13th Birthday

Fabolous’ son Johan Jackson seemed to have had an unforgettable birthday after meeting one of his favorite rappers, Lil Uzi Vert, and receiving a bag full of signature Baby Pluto merch, as well as $5,000 in cash to top it all off.

Fabolous posted a video of Johan unpacking all of the gifted merch, documenting the initial shocked expression on his face after finding the $5,000 in cash in his bag. Fab completed the post with a photo of Johan posing with the Eternal Atake rapper inside a recording studio in New York City.

In the post’s caption, Fabolous joked that he took his son on a trip to meet his “other favorite rapper.” He revealed that Uzi also showed Johan some unreleased music as well. Lucky guy!

“Love & Respect to my lil bro Uzi! Appreciate you for helping make my son Bday lit. What a time to turn 13 @iamprincejoso,” Fabolous wrote at the end of the caption.

The Instagram community praised Fabolous for his extreme efforts to make his son’s birthday the best.

“That’s how you do it bro. Make his 13th better than yours,” one user commented. Fellow artists like Ace Hood, Jim Jones, and DJ Clue also showed love in the comment section for the wholesome moment.

Fabolous has three children with his long-time partner Emily Bustamante, including Jonas, five-years old, Journey, who is about four months old, and Johan. The pair have been under major public scrutiny ever since Fabolous was accused of domestic violence in 2018, and a video of him threatening Bustamante and her father surfaced online. However, the couple has seemingly moved forward.

Cardi B Celebrates “Bodak Yellow” Going Diamond

Following the news that Cardi B’s “Bodak Yellow” was officially certified diamond earlier today, many — including Kodak Black — were quick to congratulate her on the big accomplishment. Not only is achieving diamond certification a rare feat on its own, but Cardi’s major milestone officially makes her the first female rapper to make it happen. With such a major cause for celebration, it’s no surprise that Cardi took a moment to gather her thoughts on Instagram.

“How it started ,How’s its going,” captions Cardi, sharing a throwback clip of her spitting some “Bodak” bars in the studio. “Thank you every1 that send me beautiful congrats on Bodak going Diamond. A couple of years ago I didn’t even understand what going diamond means or meant I just wanted to win and break-in . This record changed my life. Thank you to everyone who showed Bodak so much support and support and buy till THIS DAYY !! That’s why it went diamond cause of the support YOU still give.”

She also took a moment to share a few words about her recent single “WAP,” the first release from her forthcoming album — and another song that seems to have a potential diamond plaque in its future. “Wap is a spicy one shorty 5X platinum in 7 months makes me really happy cause I put this song out when I was doubting myself then most,” she muses. “With hardly any radio play cause of how nasty it was, but babyeeee it was a shocker !”

Curiously, she made no mention to “I Like It,” which currently sits on the verge of diamond certification at nine-times platinum. At this rate, Cardi will run out of room on her walls, especially if she keeps the same momentum whenever her new album rolls around. We’d like to issue another round of congratulations to Cardi for her first — and surely not her last — diamond single. Do you still keep “Bodak Yellow” in rotation?

Lil Nas X Finally Announces “Montero (Call Me By Your Name)” Release Date

After making history by releasing the most-certified song ever in “Old Town Road”, Lil Nas X is preparing for the next era in his career as a pop star, announcing the release date for his heavily-teased new single “Montero (Call Me By Your Name)”.

The track has been a large part of Lil Nas X’s recent takeover on social media, included in most of his TikTok uploads as he gauges interest from his fans. The song, titled after his given name, is finally set for a release after months and months of teaser clips, dropping at the end of this month as announced by the 21-year-old artist.

Nas X shared the official cover artwork for the single, which shows a black-haired version of Nas X shooting an arrow at a red-haired picture of him in the style of Michelangelo’s The Creation of Adam. Clouds and vines cover the nude artist’s private areas, marking for some pretty iconic cover art.

The single will follow up the release of “HOLIDAY”, which was the latest success from Lil Nas X.

This week, the diamond-certified artist chimed in on the Eminem-centred debate that Gen-Z and Millenials have been having on social media, mocking a Millenial TikToker who spit a questionable freestyle over an Eminem beat by sharing his own purposefully terrible freestyle. Read more about that here.

Meyers Leonard Under Fire For Using Anti-Semitic Slur On Twitch

Miami Heat forward Meyers Leonard has some explaining to do after he was caught using an anti-semitic slur during a recent Twitch stream while he was playing Call Of Duty.

Emotions run high when you’re gaming sometimes, especially when it’s Call Of Duty. A number of athletes live-stream their gaming sessions when they’re off the court, including Meyers Leonard who has a platform of over 69,000 followers. Everybody that was tuned into Leonard’s recent stream got to witness the 29-year-old big man spew a racist slur in the middle of his game, calling one of his opponents a “k*ke”.

“F*cking cowards. Don’t f*cking snipe me! You f*cking k*ke b*tch,” he shouted. The anti-semitic slur was followed by a laugh from Leonard, who clearly didn’t realize how hurtful his words were.

Shortly after the damage was done, Leonard proceeded to take a phone call while playing, telling his team that he needed to leave abruptly. “Yo, my wife needs me, she just called me,” said the professional ballplayer. “I gotta roll, brother.”

As Complex points out, Leonard was the only player from the Miami Heat who didn’t kneel with the team in solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement during their NBA Finals run. He suggested that kneeling during the anthem was disrespectful to the military. “Some of the conversations I’ve had over the past three days, quite literally, have been the most difficult,” he said at the time. “I am with the Black Lives Matter movement and I love and support the military and my brother and the people who have fought to defend our rights in this country.”

What do you think about this?
