Yesterday, Caitlyn Jenner declared that she would be running to become the Governor of California. With many growing tired of Gavin Newsom, there have been rumblings that a few high profile people would try to challenge him in a Recall election. Well, Jenner seems to be one of them as she wrote an entire press release with her intentions to try and give the state Republican control, again.

According to TMZ, Jenner will probably receive quite a bit of support for this election run although she will not be getting it from the Kardashians. The family is known for siding with the Democrats and they have mostly distanced themselves from Jenner when it comes to political views. With that being said, it should be no surprise they would turn the other way as Jenner looks to gain power in one of America’s most liberal states.

“California has been my home for nearly 50 years. I came here because I knew that anyone, regardless of their background or station in life, could turn their dreams into reality,” Jenner wrote in a press release. “But for the past decade, we have seen the glimmer of the Golden State reduced by one-party rule that places politics over progress and special interests over people. Sacramento needs an honest leader with a clear vision.”

While it remains to be seen how Jenner’s political plans will work out, there is no denying that there will be a significant amount of buzz surrounding her campaign.

Earlier this week, it was with heavy hearts we reported that Baby Blue, most known for being a member of the Miami-bred group Pretty Ricky, had reportedly been shot on Wednesday morning (April 21) during a failed armed robbery. He was reported to be in critical condition in a hospital after the shooting and was apparently “fighting for his life.”

The incident took place while the rapper was hosting a release party for his new single “Jerry Rice” at the Sparez Bowling Alley in South Florida. He suffered a gunshot wound to the shoulder, piercing his lung and getting stuck in his back. Previously explaining he would have to relearn to breathe and walk again, new footage obtained by TMZ of him taking his first steps since the shooting assure he’s making a speedy recovery. 

The video shows the Pretty Ricky rapper on Friday (April 23) with hospital staff helping him get on his 2 feet and use a walker to get down the hallway of the Florida hospital he’s been staying at while recovering. Obviously, Baby Blue is not completely nursed back to full health yet, but the video is surely a good sign. The publication also reports he’s now breathing on his own already after initially requiring a ventilator. 

As mentioned briefly, the rapper was attempting to protect his cousin earlier in the week during the attempted armed robbery that left him with a gunshot wound. He managed to grab the gun from one of the subjects but unfortunately ended up getting shot in the process. The two suspects pulled up on the Pretty Ricky rapper and his crew and attempted to snatch his gold chain. 

Prayers up that Baby Blue can continue on to make a full recovery.

Penny Hardaway was an extremely popular player during the 90s and in many ways, he set trends with his footwear. To this day, Hardaway remains a respected player who had an insanely high basketball IQ. This knowledge of the game is what has made him such a successful head coach all while current players continue to look up to him.

Recently, Hardaway was a guest on Undisputed, where he spoke to Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe about none other than LeBron James. Throughout the interview, Hardaway praised LeBron for being a matchup nightmare and also explained how him and LeBron are so similar.

“I think we both have the vision. We are a matchup problem, and I was a matchup problem as a point guard being 6’7″, and most guards were way smaller than me,” Hardaway said. “The versatility with the basketball, understanding where guys are supposed to be at all times. Making the right pass at the right time. Getting guys going, especially those that need to get going that are going to help you win the ball game. It’s just understanding every detail of all 48 minutes when you are on the court.”

LeBron has missed a few weeks with an ankle injury although when he comes back, everyone is expecting him to tear up the league. As for Hardaway, there is no denying that he is an influential player who certainly had an impact on guys like LeBron.
