Kodak Black Jokes About Clone Speculation, Says He Needs A “Software Update”

Kodak Black returned home earlier this year after former POTUS Donald Trump pardoned the rapper, expediting his federal prison sentence and allowing him to come home early. Since then, the Pompano Beach native has done a pretty good job at staying in close contact with fans, often taking to Instagram live to speak directly to his followers and address any pressing rumors. Most recently, Kodak has taken some time to respond to the rumor that he is in fact a clone and the real Kodak remains in prison. Making light of the slightly outrageous allegation, the rapper has just recently suggested he needs a slight software update.

Speaking to fans on Instagram live, he jokingly responded to a fan who asked him to pronounce something. “They say give us a glee? I can’t say glee y’all know I’m a clown I don’t know how to do it. I don’t know how. That’s the only thing that the software,” he explains.

“You gotta understand like you gotta wait until like 2025 when the software is like all the way up to date, they ain’t gave me everything yet, know what I’m saying? It’s certain lil things I can’t do, like,” he pauses before jokingly glitching and mispronouncing his stage name, “Kodey-yack, Kodey-yack, Kodey-yack Black, know what I’m saying?”

His Kodak-esque sense of humor in light of the whole ordeal is quite admirable. He recently stirred controversy for mushing a piece of cake in his son’s face, while some summed up the criticism to overreactions. Check out the clip below and let us know what you think.

Jack Harlow And Quavo’s Pickup Game Against 2 Chainz And Lil Baby Produced A Lot Of Reactions

Bleacher Report joined forces with Modelo to put on a two-on-two game that would benefit Black colleges and universities on Saturday. Dubbed the Open Run, the matchup for the night was set to be Jack Harlow and Quavo vs. 2 Chainz and Lil Baby. After a week of promotion, the pairs finally battled it out with the winner being the first team to 21 points, Harlow and Quavo took home the win with a score of 21-7. The Migos rapper was undoubtedly the star of the show as he put up 17 points, 14 rebounds, and 4 blocks. It was just two years ago that he took home the MVP trophy at the 2018 Celebrity All-Star Game, and it’s clear a few years later he still has what it takes to dominate.

In an interview with Uproxx last week, Harlow shared his excitement about playing alongside Quavo.

“I’m very happy with who I got,” he said. “Out of the three other players, that would be my number one choice because he brings something to the game, based on everything I’ve seen on YouTube, that I don’t bring to the game.”

As a result of winning the came, Harlow and Quavo each received a cash prize of $500,000 while Bleacher Report pledged to donate $500,000 to HBCUs that the rappers chose. Harlow picked Simmons College of Kentucky and Kentucky State while Quavo went with Clark Atlanta University and Spellman College.

From Quavo’s stellar game to a pretty bad free throw attempt from Lil Baby, viewers seemed to be fairly entertained by the matchup and they took to Twitter to share their thoughts.

You can read the reactions below.

Jack Harlow is a Warner Music artist. Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group.

Lil Baby Accepts L After Getting Flamed For His Basketball Skills

It was Lil Baby and 2 Chainz vs. Quavo and Jack Harlow last night during Bleacher Report’s Open Run 2v2 basketball game. Three titans from Atlanta, as well as the Louisville don, had an intense game last night with $500K at stake. Chainz spent a large portion of the game cussing out the refs while Quavo made an early prediction that this game would solidify him as “the best hip-hop basketball player in the world.” Unfortunately, Baby definitely can’t say the same.

Lil Baby is an exceptional rapper and songwriter but basketball player, he is not. It was truly Chainz doing a large portion of the heavy lifting to earn them the seven points they scored. A highlight reel posted to Ballislife.com’s Twitter page edited footage of all of Baby’s worst moments on the court, leading to some pretty hilarious memes. Some people compared his performance to that moment when Drake shot an airball during the Kentucky Wildcats pre-game warm-up a few years ago.

Even though Baby was subject to a bit of public humiliation, he took the L with grace. The rapper took to the ‘Gram after the game where he shared footage of a lavish sauna. “After a hard L,” he wrote along with a crying emoji.

Clearly, Lil Baby is aware of what his strengths and weaknesses are. He deserves an A for effort, at least.

Five Guys Mike Tyson Should Fight Next

Mike Tyson made his grand return to the boxing ring back in November of 2020 where he faced off against the likes of Roy Jones Jr. For the most part, it was an entertaining match that saw Tyson deliver some devastating body shots, all while showing the world that he can still be an effective athlete. Despite dominating the fight, the entire bout was labeled as a draw, and now it would appear as though Tyson and Jones are coming up with a plan for a rematch.

Recently, one of Tyson’s former opponents, Lennox Lewis, was asked about the possibility of a rematch against Tyson. Lewis claimed that while there were no talks about such a fight, he would certainly be open to it and that it could prove to be a lot of fun — especially if that’s what the fans want to see. This got us thinking about who else could Tyson fight, and what our wishlist would be for the future. From former foes to fighters from other disciplines, there are a whole plethora of guys who could make a Tyson battle extremely entertaining.

Evander Holyfield

Evander Holyfield is the most obvious fighter on the list and if his name didn’t immediately pop into your head upon reading the title of this article, well, shame on you. Tyson and Holyfield have fought twice over the span of their careers and Holyfield won on both occasions. Of course, the more memorable of these two bouts was the second one, in which Tyson took out a nice chunk of Holyfield’s ear with that iconic bite. It was a gnarly scene that had Holyfield screaming in pain all while leaving Tyson in disgrace.

Since 1997, both of these guys have made up, and Holyfield was even on Tyson’s podcast. At this point, there doesn’t seem to be even any real beef between them, although there have been plenty of rumors that they could end up fighting each other in an exhibition fight. With Triller showing serious interest in Blockbuster boxing matchups, Tyson and Holyfield would prove to be a cash cow that would generate interest from every single sports fan out there.

Lennox Lewis

As previously mentioned, Lennox Lewis would undoubtedly be a phenomenal matchup for Tyson. To provide some context here, Tyson and Lewis fought against each other for the Heavyweight Championship back in 2002. The fight ended up going all the way to eight rounds but in the end, it was Lewis who was able to get the knockout. A year later, Lewis defeated Vitali Klitschko and immediately retired from boxing with a record of 41-2-1.

Prior to the match, Tyson claimed that he would eat Lennox Lewis’ children, which is easily one of his most iconic lines. His words against Lewis’s family are simply water under the bridge these days, although seeing these two back in the ring together would bring a lot of joy to boxing fans everywhere. Lewis ushered in the end times of Tyson’s career, and a rematch would bring forth a ton of nostalgia that fans could certainly get behind.

Shannon Briggs

Shannon Briggs

While he has mostly turned his attention to being a commentator, there is no denying that Shannon Briggs is a guy who can still bring a ton of fire to the wing. With an overall record of 60-6-1-1 throughout his career, Briggs has proven that he is one of the more entertaining Heavyweight fighters to ever get in the ring, having challenged the best of ’em. Just last year, Briggs announced that he would be fighting Tyson during the 4th Of July weekend, but in the end, it never came to fruition.

Almost a year has passed since, and there is no denying that fans of both fighters are still hoping for this exhibition to happen. Briggs Vs. Tyson was a battle that many wanted to see even when these two were in their primes and it remains a disappointment that we never got it. If both camps can figure out the contract details, there is no reason why this wouldn’t be a successful bout from a financial point of view.

Daniel Cormier

Daniel Cormier

Perhaps the oddest inclusion on this list, Daniel Cormier could certainly make for a great exhibition partner. When Conor McGregor fought Floyd Mayweather almost four years ago, it was the first time that a UFC fighter was going up against a real boxing superstar. In the end, Conor lost but he put up a good enough fight for fans to think that maybe someday an MMA guy could go in the boxing ring and come away with a belt. In fact, retired MMA fighter Ben Askren is about to fight Jake Paul, and ever since Cormier retired from the UFC, some have wondered whether or not he would consider boxing.

What makes Cormier a compelling matchup is that he is only just a year out of the sport which means it wouldn’t take him long to get back into shape. Not to mention, he has kickboxing experience and knows exactly what it’s like to battle heavyweights. Sure, he might be 13 years younger than Tyson, but that doesn’t mean much as they are both experienced in their domains. The fighting world has certainly given us matchups much more bizarre than this one.

Vitali Klitschko

Much like Manny Pacquiao, Vitali Klitschko has transitioned into the world of politics. He is now the mayor of Kyiv in his native Ukraine and at this point, a return to the boxing ring seems highly unlikely. However, when you make lists like this, you’ve got to maintain some level of fantasy as this is simply what we would truly love to see.

Klitschko was extremely successful during his prime and finished his career with a record of 45-2, all while being declared a Heavyweight champion. What makes him a unique matchup for Tyson is the height disparity. At 6 ft 7, Klitschko is a full nine inches taller than Tyson which means both fighters would have to change up their strategy. Not to mention, some of Tyson’s best efforts over the years have been against guys who have substantially more reach than he does. Klitschko has been out of boxing for over eight years now which also means that if he were to come back, it would take a lot of effort to get back into shape. As two guys who dominated their respective divisions, you can’t help but be curious about what a fight between them would look like.

DaBaby Previews New Track Sampling ‘Return of The Mack’

It seems like DaBaby’s legal troubles aren’t slowing down the Charlotte rapper from turning out hits. Late last month, the rapper was accused of knocking the front teeth out of a rental property owner, with a video of the attack later surfacing on the net. He’s facing a $117,000 lawsuit over the incident, with the 64-year-old alleged victim Gary Pager claiming the rapper “sucker punched” him in the court documents. Nonetheless, the rapper is still keeping listeners fed with new tunes, previewing a new track that samples Mark Morrison’s classic hit “Return of The Mack.”

DaBaby took to Instagram to share a clip of himself rapping for over two minutes on the smooth beat sampling the 90s classic. Interestingly enough, Chris Brown and G-Eazy both recently also sampled the track for their newest single “Provide.” DaBaby’s take on the song seems to be a different style, however.

“Your favorite rapper can’t f*ck with me,” says DaBaby before he got into previewing the track. “This one for ya auntie,” he captioned the post. Check out the video below.

Right now, it’s unclear when the “Masterpiece” artist plans to officially drop the single, but hopefully the studio version will be out sometime soon.

He also recently hopped on the remix of SpotemGottem’s Hit ‘Beat Box’.

Chris Brown Wants Smoke With Quavo On The Court

Chris Brown has proven time and time again that he’s a solid basketball player. Every time he’s been called on for a celebrity game, he reminds people of that. Unfortunately, he wasn’t called on for the celebrity game during All-Star weekend that included a 2v2 between Quavo and Jack Harlow and 2 Chainz and Lil Baby.

Neilson Barnard/Getty Images

Breezy wasn’t impressed with the outcome. The singer took to Instagram where he aired out his grievances while calling out Quavo and Jack Harlow. “They knew who not to ask for on that 2 on 2 basketball. I would’ve cooked Quavo and Jack! On my soul! Guess they wanted a smoke free zone,” Breezy said.

The competitive spirit within Quavo emerged, once again, as he fired back at the R&B singer. “Chris Brown ain’t cooking nan call next n***a!!!” He wrote, which seemingly triggered Breezy.

“Aint no next… I’m on now. Set it up lil n***a,” he wrote on one post. “U know dis work different,” he added before calling on YouTuber Austin McBroom to join him as his partner in a 2v2 against Harlow and Quavo. It seems that this is the match-up that people wanted to see. Waka Flocka offered to put up $250K bet for the game, writing in the comments, “I got a quarter million in real life on that one.

Quavo’s skills have ruffled a few feathers already since his big win against Lil Baby and 2 Chainz. Even before the game, he made the bold claim that he’s the “best hip-hop basketball player in the world.” Sheck Wes did not agree with that one.

Check out Quavo and Chris Brown’s back-and-forth below.
