Tom Brady & Bucs Show Off Insane Super Bowl Rings

Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers were hard to predict last season as no one knew what version of Brady we would be getting. After a shaky start to the season, the Buccaneers came into their own and quickly became one of the best teams in the entire league. From there, Brady led his team to the Super Bowl where they blew out the Kansas City Chiefs by a score of 31-9. This win gave Brady his seventh Super Bowl title and at this point, it is impossible to dispute he’s the GOAT.

On Thursday, the Buccaneers were given their Super Bowl rings and as you can see in the video below obtained by TMZ, these are some incredible pieces. Jason of Beverly Hills is the man responsible for these rings and as you can see, there are 319 diamonds to commemorate the final score of the Super Bowl. From there, the ring even opens up to reveal a miniature version of Raymond James Stadium.

Every single player on the Buccaneers was hyped about the new ring and it is very easy to see why. For a lot of these guys, this is their first-ever championship and when you get some hardware like this, it is always incredibly special.

As for Brady, he told his teammates that he is already looking forward to getting his eighth ring and that new hardware is always what is at the top of his mind when he gets his most recent rings.

Heading into this season, the Buccaneers are favorites to repeat and if Brady can bring back that magic from last year, then there is no doubt an eighth title is on the horizon.

Most Streamed Artists Of 2021: Drake, Juice WRLD, NBA YoungBoy & More

One of the steadfast truths in Hip-Hop is that numbers don’t lie, and with the latest report from HitsDailyDouble, fans can now see which artists have so far been excelling in the streaming game this year. According to XXL, Drake continues his reign over the music industry with over 3.6 billion streams in the six month period from January to June, and the next Hip-Hop artists to on the list are Juice WRLD and NBA YoungBoy, ranking in at #4 with 2.7 billion streams and #5 with 2.5 billion streams, respectively.

After NBA YoungBoy, the remainder of the top 10 is as follows, from top to bottom: The Weeknd, Rod Wave, Pop Smoke, Polo G, and Lil Baby. See the full ranking below.

According to XXL, the recent data ranking doesn’t specify which tracks or albums that attributed to these streaming numbers, but seeing that many of the artists featured in the list have released music this year, it’s not too hard to pinpoint where a bulk of those streams may be coming from. Drake, for example, released the popular three-pack Scary Hours 2 earlier this year, and his Lil Baby-assisted  “Wants and Needs” was streamed over 200,000,000 times on Spotify alone.

NBA YoungBoy continues to surprise the music industry because the young rapper has managed to elbow his way into the top five streamed artists of the year, all without dropping a project. According to XXL, NBA’s most-streamed song is his “Bandit” collaboration with Juice WRLD.

While the top 10 spots in the streaming ranking are dominated by Hip-Hop acts, the list gets a bit more varied as you go down. Eminem is followed by Lil Durk, J. Cole, Post Malone, and Moneybagg Yo in the positions between 11 and 19, with pop stars like Olivia Rodrigo, Justin Bieber, and Ariana Grande separating them.

Elsewhere in the list, Future, Doja Cat, Megan Thee Stallion, Pooh Shiesty, XXXTentacion, Travis Scott, Lil Tjay, Rihanna, Cardi B, NF, and Lil Wayne land in the 30s, and late rappers Mac Miller and King Von make the cut as well, ranking at #40 and #49, respectively.

Are you surprised to see how some of the biggest artists in Hip-Hop match up to each other in terms of streams this year?

Rick Hyde & Heem Say A “Hustler’s Prayer”

Fresh off a scene-stealing verse on Benny The Butcher’s The Plugs I Met 2, BSF lyricist Rick Hyde has come through to deliver a hard-hitting new single called “Hustler’s Prayer.” Produced by The SoulMonsters, the track immediately conjures a nostalgic and grimy tone — evocative of some of the early work of Mobb Deep, who often scored their tracks with a darker style of boom-bap.

Off the rip, Hyde establishes gravitas through unflinching depictions of street life. “Stir it in the water like it’s Nesquick,” he spits. “The last 50 was my best flip, then I made an exit / I was bold enough to sell that shit and man enough to just quit / the feds started sweeping like its crumbs all in the kitchen.” Fellow BSF affiliate Heem keeps the same energy throughout his own verse: “we witnessed dead bodies, just another day on Warren / just kill em’ fuck a warnin’ / the undercovers swarmin’.”

Fans of the BSF movement would be wise to check out “Hustler’s Prayer” now, brought to life by two formidable emcees in Rick Hyde and Heem. Do you think these two are next up?

QUOTABLE LYRICS

Conor McGregor Remains Unbothered Despite Broken Leg

Conor McGregor used to be one of the best talents in the entire UFC although these days, he has been suffering a lot more losses than wins. The reason behind this is quite simple. The talent pool in the UFC has gotten considerably better and with McGregor getting up there in age, he simply doesn’t have the magic he once had. Regardless, McGregor is still an entertainer at heart and when it comes to his off-time, you can always expect him to be in a jovial mood.

For instance, McGregor has been all over Instagram as of late, where he has given fans updates on his recovery and how he fully expects to be back in the Octagon sooner rather than later. He even got himself a massive Lamborghini yacht as a way to reward himself for his troubles.

More recently, McGregor was on his Instagram story where he could be seen lounging around in the sun, all while his barber gave him a crisp fade. In the clip courtesy of TMZ, which can be found below, McGregor is all smiles, and at this point, you can tell that the loss hasn’t really affected him all that negatively.

Moving forward, no one really knows what’s in store for McGregor, although he will need to get that behemoth cast off before he even thinks about doing anything else.

Let us know who you think McGregor should fight next, in the comments below.

Naomi Osaka Reacts After Lighting Olympic Cauldron

Naomi Osaka has been through a lot over these past few months. It all started at the French Open tennis tournament when she stated that she would not be speaking to the press after matches. Her reasoning was quite sound as she explained that she had been suffering from social anxiety and that it was heightened throughout the tournament. After a ton of backlash and even a fine, Osaka decided to withdraw from the tournament and she even decided to forego Wimbledon which is the biggest tournament of the year.

Now, Osaka is in Tokyo, Japan where she will be representing Japan in the Olympics. Osaka is one of the highest-profile athletes at the games and there is no doubt there will be a ton of fanfare surrounding her as she makes her way through the tournament.

The Summer Games officially begin today and to help mark the opening day of the games, Osaka got the biggest honor of them all as she lit the Olympic Cauldron. It was an amazing moment and one that Osaka took great pride in.

“Undoubtedly the greatest athletic achievement and honor I will ever have in my life. I have no words to describe the feelings I have right now but I do know I am currently filled with gratefulness and thankfulness love you guys thank you,” Osaka wrote on Twitter.

This is a moment that she will never forget, and if she manages to take home Olympic Gold, the moment will become that much sweeter in her memory.

Vince Staples Shines In New Tiny Desk Concert

Vince Staples recently delivered his new album Vince Staples, produced in its entirety by his trusted collaborator Kenny Beats. Clocking in at a respectable ten tracks, Vince’s latest highlights his songwriting prowess throughout, leading to a project best enjoyed as one cohesive start-to-finish experience.

Now, Staples has opted to take his new album to the Tiny Desk, lining up a performance complete with the backing of a full band — and that includes Kenny Beats, who holds it down on the bass. In addition to Kenny, Vince is backed by Gio “Dutchboi” Ligeon on guitar and vocals, Reske on keys and vocals, David Meyers Jr. on the drums, and Fousheé on vocals.

With a setlist made up entirely of Vince Staples tracks, Vince chooses to include “LAW OF AVERAGES,” “SUNDOWN TOWN,” fan-favorite “THE SHINING,” and the Foushee-assisted “TAKE ME HOME.” As tends to be the case with Tiny Desk Concerts, the full band arrangement adds refreshing new energy into the tracks, and hearing the whimsical production of “THE SHINING” come to life with acoustic instruments is certainly something to behold. It’s no wonder Vince begins by naming it his “favorite song,” only to quickly correct himself with a more general assessment of “they’re all my favorites.”

For fans of the album, and for fans of live hip-hop performances in general — do yourself a favor and check out Vince Staples’ Tiny Desk Concert below. Should he consider bringing the full band on the road?

Sheff G Enlists Polo G On “On Go”

Sheff G has largely tried to capture the New York drill scene after the passing of Pop Smoke in the beginning of last year. With tracks like “We Gettin’ Money” and “Weight on Me”, Sheff G has established himself as a drill pioneer and earned opportunities with mainstream hitmakers. “On Go” featuring Polo G marks one of his most high profile collaborations yet, and the chemistry between the two may set it up so that it’s one of his Sheff  most successful yet.

Though the beat is reminiscent of those on a number of his previous releases, Sheff G dons his signature drill flow and booming voice on the new release. He slides across the drill beat with expressive ad-libs and a very natural tone of voice. Shouting out the late Pop Smoke and the rest of his entourage, “On Go” sees Sheff G as proud and aggressive as ever.

Polo G compliments Sheff G with an impressive high-register and high-energy verse. The Chicago rapper has become increasingly comfortable on the alternatively paced drill beats (songs like “Clueless” featuring Pop Smoke and Five Foreign), and “On Go” is only a continuation of his ability to adjust. He debatably outshines Sheff G– exhibiting more aggression and drive than his counterpart.

Check out the track and let us know what you think.

Lil Durk Lied About Not Being On Kanye West’s New Album

Although this isn’t the first time that fans have had to wait well past midnight on Friday for a new Kanye West album, the wait for DONDA feels excruciatingly long. Following the listening event in Atlanta on Thursday night, several thousands of fans were able to get an early preview of Kanye’s tenth studio album, and all that the rest of the Hip-Hop community has been left with are hazy videos and warbly song snippets.

Thanks to one of those low-quality snippets, however, fans have recently discovered that Lil Durk makes an appearance on DONDA, which is extremely surprising for many because earlier this week, the Voice of the Heroes rapper expressed his regret for missing a jet and not making the cut for the album. According to Lil Durk, it was all just a white lie.

Taking to Twitter late Thursday night, Lil Durk addressed the situation, and apparently, the Chicago rapper was just being mischievous when he made that comment about missing the jet. Joking about his misdirection, Lil Durk admits, “I lied I made ye jet lol.”

With Durk’s feature confirmed, he joins the ranks of Pop Smoke, Lil Baby, Jay-Z, Baby Keem, and Travis Scott, among several other artists, featured on DONDA, and now, the wait for Kanye West’s tenth studio album continues.

Are you looking forward to hearing Lil Durk’s verse on DONDA?

Kyle Kuzma & Dennis Schroder Reportedly Had Beef During Lakers Season

This offseason is going to be a very interesting one for the Los Angeles Lakers and they will have to make some big decisions regarding their role players. Guys like Dennis Schroder are up for new contracts while other players like Kyle Kuzma could very well end up as part of a trade package for other stars. There is no telling what the Lakers will do, although there are some rumors that they want to look at guys like Chris Paul, Russell Westbrook, and maybe even Damian Lillard if he becomes available.

As for Schroder and Kuzma, some new information has surfaced that could very well prove to be a factor when the Lakers go to make their offseason moves.

According to Jordan Schultz of ESPN, Kuzma and Schroder had a longstanding feud throughout the entire season and never really got along. Eventually, things got infinitely worse during the first round of the NBA playoffs as the Lakers lost to the Phoenix Suns in six games. With AD out of the lineup, Kuzma and Schroder needed to do more on offense and the chemistry just simply wasn’t there.

This is news that the Lakers are probably already well-aware of, and with the draft just a few weeks away, there is no doubt the team will be taking every little detail into consideration.

Stay tuned to HNHH as we will continue to bring you all of the latest updates from around the NBA.

Kanye West Commands A Crowd Without Saying A Word: “DONDA” Listening Event

Kanye West has performed from atop a 50-foot high mountain. He has surfed over crowds while rocking out on a levitating stage. Ye even had Madison Square Garden jumping more than the New York Knicks ever did throughout the latter half of the 2010s, and he was just playing music from his laptop. The man with arguably one of the best discographies in Hip-Hop is as much of a performance artist as he is a recording artist or fashion designer. In 2021, everyone is fully aware that Kanye is an expert at keeping fans on their toes, so when thousands of his staunchest supporters piled into the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta on Thursday and didn’t see a stage, the conspiracy theories started quicker than a DaBaby verse.

The colossal stadium that’s home to the Atlanta Falcons and Atlanta United FC boasts a retractable ceiling, and thus, countless eyes were peeled to the massive opening in the sky, as if Kanye West himself would swoop in Lady Gaga-style to commence the momentous DONDA listening event. At one point, the lights shining above the lengthy white sheet that covered the field caused indecipherable lines, numbers, and symbols to appear underneath, leading fans to theorize that Kanye was hiding a secret stage underneath the expansive white covering.

Yet to probably everyone’s surprise, nothing that theatrical, exhilarating, or mind-blowing happened — at least, performance-wise — the entire night. Following an interminable wait, a glowing ring appeared at the now-shut roof, and Kanye just strolled onto the field as music started blaring from the myriad of speakers situated around the stadium. No microphone, no elaborate scheme — just Kanye West, dressed in a bright red outfit and full face mask that evoked memories of the My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy and Yeezus eras of his career.

For much of the album’s runtime, Kanye stood in the middle of Mercedes-Benz Stadium and stared straight into the crowd. As those in attendance listened attentively to the songs pouring out of the speakers, the DONDA artist gazed upon them like a proud chef watching guests eat an elaborate meal he had just prepared. Kanye even danced from time to time, and from the floor, he made his rounds and checked in on all the sections of awestruck fans.

The DONDA listening event could be interpreted as the ultimate stroking of Kanye West’s ego. Ten albums in, the artist who started off as a producer, could still command a crowd in one of Atlanta’s most unconquerable arenas. Beyonce and Jay-Z’s two-night stint at Mercedes-Benz for the On the Run II Tour in 2018 remains the only Hip-Hop event in recent years to pack out the stadium, and here Kanye West was in 2021, taking in all of the love and attention without saying one word.

While that idea is definitely plausible, the DONDA listening event could also be seen as one of the greatest album listening events in Hip-Hop history. The absence of gimmicks and the lack of any fluffy track-by-track anecdotes yielded a space where fans could soak in the music without any distractions and honestly react to the songs in real-time. As a result, there were times when a song would conclude and the stadium would absolutely erupt, and on the contrary, you could tell when the fans in attendance weren’t feeling a song at all.

The electrifying start to the Pop Smoke track, for instance, immediately got the crowd jumping to the point that it looked like a mosh pit was about to break out in the stands. Yet when the monstrous beat drop that everyone was waiting for never came, all of that momentum faded away, and rather than roaring applause, confusion and light clapping filled the stadium. However, there was no denying the impact that the masterful performances by Baby Keem and Jay-Z had on Mercedes-Benz. Nothing beats an “Is that who I think it is!?” moment, and when both emcees floated to the forefront of their respective DONDA tracks, you could see several fans turning towards their friends with looks of awe spread across their faces. Before anyone had even heard a good quality version of the songs, the raucous applause had cemented them as two of DONDA’s early highlights.

Regardless of what you deduce about Kanye West’s psyche from Thursday night, the DONDA listening event was about the music, and because of that, Ye was able to make the largest indoor stadium in Georgia feel like an intimate event. He let DONDA, his latest album and his late mother, speak for him. Returning to the city where he was born, Kanye West played one of the most anticipated albums of the year without saying a single word, because the brief stretches of his album that featured archived speeches from his mother said everything he needed to say.

When Donda West said, “No matter what, you never abandon your family,” there was a real weight to that statement, and the emotional intensity of Kanye’s music, especially when considering that his children and his recently divorced wife Kim Kardashian were in attendance, sitting yards away from him. Heart-wrenching moments like that can’t really be captured through viral clips on Twitter, but that’s what made the DONDA listening event powerful, even if it wasn’t the most entertaining visual display that Kanye West has ever put on.

Ye once freestyled about fooling his fans and the entire entertainment industry during the 2013 Yeezus tour stop in Atlanta, and eight years later, he fooled everyone once again. As an artist who has done the unthinkable in terms of stage design, Kanye somehow managed to subvert expectations again by stripping away much of what young Kanye West fans probably fell in love with in the first place: his incomparable performances. He came out, he played his album, and he left. And although the DONDA listening event was admittedly strange, it was a quaint reflection of Kanye West’s fast approaching tenth studio album.
