Skepta Unites With J Balvin On “Nirvana”

Skepta recently announced the arrival of his upcoming EP All In, and today marks the arrival of his brand new single “Nirvana.” Featuring the talents of J Balvin, Skeppy’s latest is a low-key and relatively melodic look from the UK heavyweight rhymer. “Good pussy keep me awake,” he raps, over a smooth guitar lick. “Got them big racks make the milk shake / and I don’t discriminate, but if she a snack that’s a dinner date.”

Following Skepta’s opening verse, J Balvin holds it down with the follow-up, adding an interesting contrast with some Spanish bars. Despite the language difference, the chemistry on wax is clear, and it should be interesting to see how much momentum “Nirvana” gains before the big EP drop. Speaking of which, look for Skepta’s All In EP to drop off tomorrow, featuring additional guest appearances from Kid Cudi and Teezee.

How do you feel about Skepta and J Balvin’s “Nirvana?”

Saweetie Lands McDonald’s Celebrity Meal Inspired By Her Strange Eating Habits

Following previous collaborations with popular artists like Travis Scott, J Balvin and BTS, McDonald’s will be debuting the “Saweetie Meal” on August 9th, named after the Bay Area rapper and female artist. Known for her love of food and sometimes very creative culinary combinations, the “Saweetie Meal” is inspired by the artist’s love for mixing and matching different foods. At its base, the meal will include a Big Mac, four-piece Chicken McNuggets, medium fries and a medium Sprite rounded out by a barbecue sauce that will be rebranded as the “Saweetie ‘N Sour” sauce to coincide with the meal’s theme.

Continuing with adapting the themes and aesthetics of each celebrity meal to align with the artist’s personal brand, the “Saweetie Meal” will take on “icy new packaging” to build off the artist’s “Icy Girl” branding. Previous examples like Travis Scott’s “Cactus Jack” branding being made into crew member t-shirts for McDonald’s employees, along with the BTS branding on the paper bags for each order of the BTS meal, shows that McDonald’s is committed to displaying each artists’ individual identities in their collaborations with the tenured fast food chain. Saweetie posted a teaser for the meal on Instagram earlier this morning.

“WHO’S READY FOR ONE OF MY INFAMOUS CONCOCTIONS?!!,” Her Instagram caption reads, knowingly acknowledging the meme culture that’s surrounded her eating habits. In the photo, french fries and hints of barbecue sauce make up a snowflake, playing into the artist’s “Icy Girl” brand. Her 2019 album is simply called ICY.

McDonald’s has done their part for hyping up their newest celebrity meal on social media, as well. They tweeted a hint about their involvement with Saweetie this morning before posting the same image.

Making light of Saweetie’s sometimes outrageous eating choices, they further confirmed why ranch isn’t included in the meal in a follow-up tweet.

It has also been reported that customers will be afforded some flexibility in how they can have contents of the “Saweetie Meal,” aligning with the artist’s tendency to be creative with her eating choices. Fans are hilariously disgusted on social media, but check out what kinds of combinations are possible in the image below.

What do you think of the “Saweetie Meal?” Which artist would you like to see McDonald’s collaborate with next? Let us know in the comments.

Pistons To Select Cade Cunningham With First Overall Pick: Report

One of the best events of the entire year in relation to the NBA is the draft. It’s a night that changes lives forever all while shaping the future of the NBA. Teams that had been in poverty status for years finally get a shot at a potential superstar all while talented young players get the opportunity of a lifetime that will eventually allow them to prove for their families and deliver generational wealth to their bloodline. All-in-all, it’s a pretty good night but it’s one that should not be taken lightly by the teams themselves.

Franchises spend months deliberating on which players they should take, and it’s never an easy decision. There are various dilemmas at play here, including the dichotomy of drafting based on positional need or drafting based on the best talent available. It’s a hard balance to strike, although the Detroit Pistons are looking to make the best of it with the first overall pick.

Seven hours before the draft even begins, the entire evening has been spoiled in a way, as Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN just reported that Cade Cunningham of the Oklahoma State Cowboys would be selected with the first overall pick. The Pistons have had their eyes on Cunningham for quite some time now and they didn’t want to pass up the opportunity to take him.

Cunningham had a phenomenal season with the Cowboys in 2021 and it was well-documented that he was the clear number one talent in the draft. While some fans might be annoyed at the timing of this news, there is no doubt that Pistons fans can breathe a sigh of relief knowing their team has made a good choice.

Dua Lipa & A Pop Smoke Hologram Appear In The “Demeanor” Music Video

Over the course of the past few days, DaBaby and Dua Lipa have been two of the most talked-about artists in the music industry, and as DaBaby gets caught liking shady tweets about his “Levitating” collaborator, Dua Lipa has taken a page out of his book and taken advantage of the drama by dropping a new music video.

The visuals for Dua Lipa’s recently released collaboration with the late Pop Smoke have officially arrived, and both the Future Nostalgia artist and a ghostly hologram of Pop Smoke appear in the music video for “Demeanor.”

Having been filmed well after the Shoot For The Stars Aim For The Moon artist‘s tragic death, the “Demeanor” music video takes place at what looks like a Romantic-era party inside a lavish and ancient castle. Several party guests dance along to the Pop Smoke and Dua Lipa collaboration, and when Pop’s verse rolls in, a bright blue projection of the late rapper appears to perform the verse. Later on, Dua Lipa makes an appearance in the video, wearing an ornate vintage Jean Paul Gaultier dress.

Head back to the top of the page to check out out the “Demeanor” music video, and as always, rest in peace, Pop Smoke.

Isaiah Rashad & Lil Uzi Vert Connect On “From the Garden”

We’re only one day away from the release of Isaiah Rashad’s The House Is Burningand today the rapper has offered up a final glimpse of what’s to come. “From The Garden” with Lil Uzi Vert is officially here, and off the bat, it’s clear that we’re looking at a banger. Over a mischievous bass-driven beat from Kal Banx, Rashad sets it off with a rapid-fire machine gun flow.

“They gon shit talk when we ain’t around,” he raps. “Ni**as be hating with feet on the ground / Got the lil jet with the beat on the couch / nut on the Gucci and beat on her mouth.” Lil Uzi Vert holds it down for the second verse, swerve from Rashad’s flow scheme and bringing some interesting swagger to the mix. “Quality bitches, they look good to me, but I fuck the same girl cuz I don’t even cheat,” he raps. “That is a lie, repetitive freak.”

It’s not quite what they’re saying, but how they’re saying it — and damned if both parties aren’t having the time of their lives. Check out “From The Garden” now, and sound off in the comments with your thoughts on Zay’s latest single.

Lakers’ Rumored Trade Package For Buddy Hield Revealed

With LeBron James nearing the end of his career, the Lakers are closing in on their window to win another NBA title. While Anthony Davis is the perfect second superstar for the roster, there is no denying just how much this team needs to improve when it comes to its depth. The Lakers struggled in the playoffs as a result of their depth and moving forward, they have made it clear that they want to move pieces around, particularly guys like Kyle Kuzma and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope.

With the NBA Draft going down tonight, it only makes sense that the Lakers would be looking to get a deal done sooner rather than later. In fact, according to Kevin O’Connor of The Ringer, the Lakers are looking to offer up their first-round pick in order to get Sacramento Kings star Buddy Hield.

Earlier this week, it was reported that a trade for Hield could be in the works and that Kuzma would be the centerpiece. Now, it is being reported that Montrezl Harrell, Kuzma, KCP, and the 22nd overall pick are all up for grabs in a potential deal and that they are working towards making it happen. Hield has been shopped around quite a bit as of late, as he was also rumored to be a part of a deal to bring Ben Simmons to Sacramento.

There is still plenty of time for deals to be worked out, so stay tuned to HNHH as we will be sure to bring you all of the latest updates from around the NBA as the Draft takes place tonight. It looks like we are going to be in for a very busy offseason.

Young Dolph Explains Why He Chose Not To Retire

Young Dolph has been steadily holding it down for a minute now, and the Paper Route Empire mogul is gearing up for the release of his new compilation project Paper Route IlluminatiWith the album due out for release tomorrow, Dolph has been doing the press run, hitting the Big Facts podcast to speak on his future in the rap game.

Recall that Dolph previously teased retirement back in March, an announcement that left his many fans in disarray. Luckily, it would appear that Dolph has since changed his mind, explaining his decision to remain active during his recent Big Facts interview.

As JAY-Z once said, “can’t leave rap alone, the game needs me.” It would appear that Dolph feels similarly, explaining that he simply cannot abandon his loyal supporters. “It’s like I’m the spokesperson for all of the street n****s and all of the n****s that’s on some independent sh*t,” Dolph explains. “The n***as who really want to do this shit like I don’t really wanna tie myself to no major label—I do this shit on my own. I’ma hustle this shit. I’ma grind it out. I can’t let those folks down, I’m their motivator. People come to me tell me this all the time.”

He also reflects on the importance of staying independent, even during the times he was tempted to sign a major deal. “How many rappers can say they turned n***as to millionaires without using a major label?” he asks. “Everybody sign n***as to their major label. I ain’t have to do that. I finna turn you up.” He does admit that he might consider signing a deal upon his exit from the rap game, but based on his current mindset, it’s unlikely that he’ll be bowing out anytime soon.

In the meantime, check back tomorrow for Young Dolph and the Paper Route Empire’s new album Paper Route Illuminati. You can watch Dolph’s full appearance on Big Facts below.

Vince Staples Had Alchemist & Earl Sweatshirt Project In The Works Before “Vince Staples”

Vince Staples and Kenny Beats put their friendship to the test by seeing if their comradery would translate to on-wax chemistry, and with Vince’s newly released self-titled effort, much of the Hip-Hop community would likely agree that their experiment was ultimately successful. At 10 tracks, Vince Staples is a sonically enthralling and criminally short album, and it has been receiving critical acclaim since it was released earlier this month.

Vince Staples is still promoting the Kenny Beats-assisted project, and in an upcoming appearance on Apple Music 1’s The Ebro Showthe Romona Park Legend revealed that Vince Staples was the result of him abandoning a collab project with the Alchemist and Earl Sweatshirt.

According to Vince Staples, his energy and studio habits didn’t mesh well with Alchemist and Earl Sweatshirt, and although he was admittedly excited about working with the two artists, he ultimately ended up working with Kenny Beats instead.

“You know, it’s crazy. I’m going to tell you the truth. This a Ebro exclusive, right? Alchemist had hit me and was like, ‘I want this project. Me, you, and Earl. I only need three weeks,'” Vince Staples said while talking to Ebro Darden. “I’m like, ‘All right, I’ll do it.’ So we go over there, and they get high. So I’m the only one over the rapping and I don’t smoke, so it didn’t really blend. I was getting headaches. So next thing I know I got 30 verses on 30 beats…I thought we was collaborating!”

Vince continues, saying, “Alchemist moves at a very cryptic pace, he’s hella slow. Then I get to the point I’m telling Kenny, I’m like, ‘Yeah, man.’ He’s like, ‘What’s up with the Alchemist project?’ I’m like, ‘Man, I’m just waiting on the homie. You feel me? You know, we’ve been getting these stems for a month and a half. It’s all good.’ And Kenny said, ‘Oh man, just come to the house.’ Like, ‘We don’t ever make no music, blah, blah, blah.’ I’m like, ’cause you the homie, I don’t really work with the homies, it’s weird. So boom. We go to Kenny house. We go twice a week for about two hours for three weeks. It was right before Christmas, right after Thanksgiving. Made 30, 40 songs, and then we picked eight.”

Check out the clip from Vince Staples’ upcoming appearance on Ebro’s Apple Music show below.

While the fact that an Alchemist, Earl Sweatshirt, and Vince Staples project almost came to fruition is likely hard for Hip-Hop fans to accept, the rest was history after Kenny Beats came into the picture. Vince Staples has already yielded popular tracks like “ARE YOU WITH THAT?,” “LAW OF AVERAGES,” and “TAKE ME HOME” with Fousheé, so it looks like the North Long Beach rapper made the right decision to do a full-legnth project with Kenny Beats.
