Lizzo Is Starting A ‘New Era’ Next Week With ‘Rumors,’ Her First Single In Two Years

Lizzo’s most recent single was 2020’s “Cuz I Love You,” which comes from her 2019 album of the same name. So, it’s been a couple years since we’ve gotten some new music from Lizzo. She’s gearing up for a new era now, as her new single, “Rumors,” is set to drop on August 13.

She shared a promotional image for the song, which features her in a flash gold dress and equally shiny gold jewelry, giving a “shh” sign with her hand. She captioned the post, “NEW ERA B*TCH. ‘RUMORS’. 8/13.” Her post doesn’t indicate that “Rumors” is a song, but Lizzo’s website and pre-order pages do.

She more-than-suggested a few days ago that Mark Ronson is working on her album, saying in a TikTok video in response to a fan question, “A album? Absolutely not, I’m not making no f*ckin’ album! I’m not in a studio. This isn’t Mark Ronson. This isn’t a whole board. I’m not hanging out with songwriters like [Philip Lawrence of Bruno Mars songwriting/production team The Smeezingtons]. [laughs] I’m not making a f*ckin’ album! Where you get that from?”

This comes ahead of a busy stretch, as she’s set to perform at festivals like Bonnaroo, Firefly, and the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival.

Lizzo is a Warner Music artist. Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group.

Kanye West & The Weeknd Are Up To Something

Kanye West’s Donda is said to be arriving this week, but knowing the inconclusive megastar, it’s entirely possible that the anticipated album will be met with another late-game delay. Still, the wheels remain in motion, as Yeezy has taken up residence in the Mercedes Benz stadium for an uninterrupted creative getaway, complete with a private chef on deck.

As he and a non-hostage Mike Dean work hard on the finishing touches, Kanye has decided to have a bit of fun during the process. He recently uploaded an interesting teaser on his newly-revitalized Instagram page, one that may very well signal a collaboration yet to come. From the look of his recent calls, Yeezy and The Weeknd (saved in Kanye’s phone as “Abel Weeknd”) have been in frequent communication, and after hours at that.

Given that Kanye is seemingly days away from releasing a new album, it stands to reason that these late-night convos stretch beyond shooting the breeze. It’s entirely possible that we’ll see the Canadian pop icon show up on Donda in some capacity, as he once did on The Life Of Pablo by contributing vocals to “FML.” At this point, Donda is shaping up to be quite the star-studded affair, with reported appearances from Lil Baby, Lil Durk, Roddy Ricch, and many more.

Check out Ye’s intriguing new post below, and be sure to share your predictions as to whether or not Donda is dropping on its alleged August 5th release date.

Playboi Carti’s Lollapalooza Set Disorients Trapped Miley Cyrus Fans

As previously reported, Playboi Carti had Lollapalooza unbelievably lit this past weekend. Yet while several fans were understandably stoked to witness Carti perform some of his most brazen cuts from Whole Lotta Red in person, some unsuspecting Lollapalooza attendees found themselves in an absolutely foreign environment once the AWGE artist hit the stage.

According to HipHopDX, some of the fans who were waiting for Miley Cyrus to take the stage after Playboi Carti’s unknowingly signed up for the rage that comes with a Carti show, and they were not happy about it.

For anyone who needs a crash course in what a live Playboi Carti show is like, think Travis Scott-esque mayhem but with less mainstream Hip-Hop fans. Needless to say, it’s not the best place for young adolescents who are most looking forward to a set from Miley Cyrus. Ever since Carti’s Lollapalooza set has gone viral online, the reactions from the disoriented Miley Cyrus fans have gained traction as well. See some of them below.

Emmuel Reyes, a TikTok user operating under the handle @_emwell, broke down the entire situation perfectly by giving props to Playboi Carti for throwing such an electrifying show, joking about the disparate contrast between Carti and Miley Cyrus’ fan bases, and criticizing Lollapalooza for putting fans in that position in the first place. Check out their Emmuel Reyes’ commentary below.

Do you think that the TikToker above has a point and that Lollapalooza should have been far more careful with scheduling Miley Cyrus after Playboi Carti? Or do you think it’s all a part of what makes music festivals so unforgettable?

Boosie Speaks On DaBaby: “It’s Sad How Y’all Trying To Ban Artists”

DaBaby has been the main focus of the hip-hop world these days thanks to the comments he made at Rolling Loud about gay people and HIV/AIDS. These words got DaBaby into a lot of trouble as many fans were outraged by his ignorant statements. In fact, the backlash got so bad that the artist was removed from various festival lineups including Lollapalooza, Day N Vegas, and Governor’s Ball New York. Moving forward, it could be hard for DaBaby to book gigs, and not everyone is happy with this public cancelation.

For instance, Boosie took to Instagram today where he had a strong stance on the DaBaby saga. In the clip below, Boosie claims that many are trying to push the “gay agenda” onto artists so that they can then promote it to the kids. Boosie believes this will cause many children to become gay, which is absolutely not how it works. Either way, Boosie has always felt this way, so it’s not surprising to see him double down.

“It’s sad how y’all trying to force this gay stuff on the world,” Boosie said. “How y’all trying to ban artists. It’s sad bro. In ten years it ain’t going to be normal for a kid to be straight. Y’all trying to force it on these kids bros. Push it on all the biggest artists. You attacking these kids bro. We’re going to make all of them promote it and who gonna follow, the kids.”

Earlier today, DaBaby actually apologized for his comments saying “As a man who has had to make his own way from very difficult circumstances, having people I know publically working against me— knowing that what I needed was education on these topics and guidance— has been challenging. I appreciate the many people who came to me with kindness, who reached out to me privately to offer wisdom, education, and resources. That’s what I needed and it was received.”

It remains to be seen how DaBaby’s apology will be taken, although it seems as though he is earnestly taking steps to better himself, which is always a positive sight to see.

Morray Breaks Down The Dad Way Of Grilling In Hilarious New “Snack Review”

Not long ago, Morray linked up with HNHH for an appearance on our ongoing series Snack Review, one of the funniest episodes we’ve ever done. Now, the Street Sermons melodist is back for another installment, and he wastes little time in getting right back to where he left off.

“I never went trick or treating bro,” he admits, in the opening moments. “I just stole people’s candy.” He proceeds to let out a hearty guffaw, before showing a bit of remorse. “I was a child, I didn’t know any better. If I had to pick one candy my whole life to eat, it would be Reese’s. How the fuck can you fuck up a Reese’s…Also Butterfinger. Butterfinger’s crazy. People don’t give Butterfinger respect. Respect the nougat, man. Respect it!”

When it comes to eating out or cooking at home, Morray knows exactly where he stands. “I like to grill,” he says. “When you put charcoal in that muthafucka…I’m a dad, so I take pride in getting the grill. I like to make my shit look pretty. Get a little [sauce] on that bitch. I take a lighter and light a match — just to be fancy — and toss that bitch in.” He mimes a flame igniting. “That’s how you put your sausage links, your ribs, your steak, your shish-kebabs, your corn, and fuck it up with my open-toe sandals. Dad shit.”

When asked about the snack he would create were he a mad scientist of sorts, Morray easily picks chips. As for the flavor — “I want them to taste like Wingstop fries. Wingstop fries is fucking crazy bro. A chip bag of that?! Oh my God that’d be fire!”

He also admits to spending a cool $1500 on an extravagant night out at a hibachi restaurant — with his entire entourage of thirty. “N***as was ordering steak and filet mignon,” he recalls. “I get the bill, that shit like fourteen-twenty. I’m like this military time, what’s happening? I was so upset, but they was happy though.” He lets out a signature hearty laugh, and it’s clear that he looks back on the experience with fondness.

For much more from Morray — one of the most hilarious guests we’ve had on Snack Review thus far — be sure to check out both episodes right here at HNHH.

Bill & Melinda Gates Divorce Is Officially Finalized

A little over a year after the former power couple shocked the world with news of their split, Bill and Melinda Gates are officially divorced.

Bill and Melinda had three children together and started a joint foundation during their three-decade-spanning relationship.

One of the richest couples in the world have now individually become two of the richest bachelorettes and bachelors. To no surprise, the newly single Bill caught the eyes of the Clermont Twins while Yella Beezy shared his thirst for Melinda

As more and more reports came in regarding the reason for their seemingly-surprising divorce, it was revealed that one of the reasons for Melinda’s distance was Bill’s ties to Jeffery Epstein. There were also reports of an affair Bill had with an employee, allegedly occuring over 20 years ago.

Melinda, who is busy with her own philanthropy work, didn’t get messy during the divorce proceedings with her billionaire husband, and apparently it served her well. Bill gave Melinda almost $2 billion dollars worth in stocks shortly after the divorce was announced.

Court documents obtained by TMZ reveal that neither Bill nor Melinda will get spousal support. The two instead signed a ‘Separation Contract,’ which is a document explaining who got what from the marriage. Interestingly though, even though everything is final, Melinda will not be changing her last name.

DaBaby Also Dropped From Day N Vegas Festival

DaBaby may have recently uploaded a more serious and well-constructed apology for his controversial Rolling Loud comments, but it didn’t arrive in enough time to save his spot at the 2021 Day N Vegas Festival in Las Vegas later this year.

“Social media moves so fast that people want to demolish you before you even have the opportunity to grow, educate, and learn from your mistakes,” DaBaby wrote in a statement to his 19.2 million followers on Instagram. “I want to apologize to the LGBTQ+ community for the hurtful and triggering comments I made. Again, I apologize for my misinformed comments about HIV/AIDS and I know education on this is important. Love to all. God bless.”

Regardless of his lengthy apology, Day N Vegas has effectively dropped DaBaby from its stacked lineup of artists, which features the likes of Kendrick Lamar, Travis Scott, Tyler, the Creator, Lil Uzi Vert, SZA, Doja Cat, Lil Baby, Polo G, and several others. The festival also revealed that it has successfully booked Roddy Ricch, so the Please Excuse Me For Being Antisocial artist will take DaBaby’s place.

Check out Day N Vegas’ update and new lineup below.

At the time of publishing, DaBaby’s festival circuit run has been drastically reduced, and now fans will have to stay tuned to see if he is able to hold onto his performance slots at the forthcoming iHeartRadio Music Festival and Music Midtown, both of which take place in September.

Ciara & Russell Wilson Have Family Photo Spree At NFL Training Camp

Ciara and Russell Wilson are living their best lives as everyone’s favorite unproblematic couple, evidenced by Ciara’s Instagram, constantly sprinkled with date night photos and heart-warming family pics of their three kids.

The singer paid the Seattle Seahawks quarterback a visit at training camp, bringing their kids in tow, for some family time and captured a series of cute photos for the Gram. Her Instagram share on Sunday included a gallery of photos, starting off with a goofy boomerang, much on-brand for the couple.

In the clip, Ciara danced around in a black romper while Russell affectionately leaned on her. She shared the same video on Twitter with the caption, “It’s About That Time! Year 10. Proud of you Baby.” In a second shot, Ciara kisses Russell’s cheek while he leans in and gazes at the camera with helmet in hand.

The rest of the flicks were dedicated to the kids the two share, Sienna Princess, 4, Win Harrison, 1, and Ciara’s son with Future, Future Zahir. Beaming with pride, Russell got down on one knee to pose with the two boys in one picture, while Sienna was ready for the field with her dad’s helmet on in another.

A frame-worthy shot closed out the post, where Russell holds baby Win on his shoulders, and leans in to give him a kiss on the cheek. Ciara tagged the whole set with the hashtags “#TrainingCamp #FootballIsFamily.”

Fans in the comments couldn’t get enough of the family, supporting the couple with kind messages and heart-eye emojis.
