Takeoff Has A Request For Migos Fans

Takeoff is the most underrated member of the Migos, but he’s also the quietest rapper within the group. While he has often been hailed as the glue that holds the three-man team together, Quavo and Offset always get a heightened spotlight shone on their lives. Recently, that much has been proven as true after Quavo’s highly-publicized split from ex-girlfriend Saweetie. Of course, Offset is also always in the news because of his relationship with Cardi B.

With Takeoff remaining the most low-key member of the Migos, he came through with a strong message as the lead-up for Culture III continues. With more and more scrutiny being laid upon Quavo and the bunch, especially on social media forums, Takeoff said that he hopes Migos fans start to give the group their flowers while they can still smell them.

“One Of The Greatest,” said Takeoff on Instagram, sharing a gallery of recent pictures of himself. “Give Us Our [Flowers] While We Can Smell Em That’s All We Ask.”

This past week has undoubtedly been a rough one for Quavo, as well as Takeoff and Offset by extension. The “Lamb Talk” rapper has been slandered in the media because of his accused cheating ways, which, by attachment, have damaged the Migos’ press run by a touch. Many are still expecting this next Migos album to be a good one though.

Are you looking forward to the release of Culture III? Show some love to the Migos in the comments.

Rihanna Wants To Lock In A Collab With Yung Miami: “Savage Summer 2021”

A question posed on Instagram may have just resulted in a collaboration. The Navy, as in Rihanna’s fanbase, is ready for the singer to roll out her phantom forthcoming project, but Ri has made it clear that she won’t be rushed. She’s been steadily building her billion-dollar Fenty brand for years, and now that she’s on top of the cosmetics world, Rihanna is looking to stay there.

Still, her fans have been pegging her with questions about the release of her next album and even Pharrell Williams has added to the excitement with the news that The Neptunes have been in the studio with the singer. On Wednesday (March 24), Rihanna slid in IG’s comments to tease that she may, just for kicks, drop off a new single this year to tie us over, and as anticipation continues to build, Hollywood Unlocked wanted to know what woman in the industry Rihanna should collaborate with on said track.

The options were as follows: Saweetie, Doja Cat, Asian Doll, Cardi B, Megan Thee Stallion, and Yung Miami. Rihanna made aware of the post and chimed in with her choice. “Careshaaaaaaaa,” wrote the singer. Yung Miami didn’t hesitate to respond that she’s available. “@badgalriri savage summer 2021 let’s goooooooo [red heart emojis].”

We’ll all have to wait and see if this materializes, but the possibility of a collaboration has caused fanbases of both ladies to implode. Check out the post below and let us know if you think this is a good pairing.

Drake Interrupts Kyle Lowry’s Press Conference With FaceTime Call: “I’m His Translator”

If there’s anyone who knows how to make an entrance, it’s Champagne Papi, yet, he didn’t expect to become the focal point of a post-game press conference. By now, we all know just how much of a basketball fan Drake is—specifically of his home team, the Toronto Raptors—and the celebrated rapper has formed close relationships with just about every player in the NBA. The Raptors took a win over the Denver Nuggets on Wednesday (March 24), and during the post-game press conference, Kyle Lowry spoke about the “weird” place he’s in with trade rumors abounding.

The Raptors point guard is set to become an unrestricted free agent during the off-season and he was sharing with reporters how he felt about the direction of his career. During the intimate press conference, Lowry received a FaceTime call from Drake and instead of ignoring it, he answered in front of everyone.

“You guys, we have a special guest here,” said Lowry as he held up Drake’s face on his phone. The Rap mogul joked, “I just want to know if you guys—I’m here to translate. I’m his translator.” Lowry quickly laughed and said, “No you’re not!” before the two gave their goodbyes until a later time. Although his time with the Raptors may be coming to an end, Lowry is determined that his future is bright.

“I’m not the tallest, I’m not the most athletic, I’m not the fanciest, but I play hard and it’s got me a long way by playing hard,” he said. “I pride myself on being one of the hardest basketball players out there.” Check out the brief clip of Drake’s appearance below.

BROCKHAMPTON Sets “BUZZCUT” Ablaze With Danny Brown

They’ve been enigmatically rolling out something new since January, and finally, BROCKHAMPTON fans are celebrating the arrival of their new single. The Hip Hop collective has seen some changes to their line-up, but their determination to create music that both they and their supporters love remains intact. Ahead of the usual Friday drop, BROCKHAMPTON shared their “BUZZCUT” release that features a look from Danny Brown.

Along with the new single comes a colorful, dare we say “abstract” visual directed by Dan Streit with Kevin Abstract acting as creative director. The trippy clip weaves in and out of non-sensical scenes that teeter on the lines of animation. Check out “BUZZCUT” by BROCKHAMPTON featuring Danny Brown and let us know your thoughts.

Quotable Lyrics

Where to begin? A veteran with a medicine pen
Let ’em all in, treat ’em like they next of my kin
Checkin’ your chin way before the record begin

Brockhampton Wreaks Havoc With Danny Brown In Their Trippy Video For ‘Buzzcut’

It’s been almost two years since Brockhampton released their fifth album, Ginger, and since then the band has kept things fairly quiet outside of a remix of “Sugar” with Dua Lipa and a string of singles they released last spring, including “Things Can’t Stay The Same,” “Twisted,” and “Downside.” Now it looks like the group is ready to begin the rollout of their sixth album. On Wednesday night they dropped their new single, “Buzzkill,” featuring Danny Brown. The track arrived with a trippy video that finds the Brockhampton collective wreaking absolute havoc in a technicolor universe while Danny Brown joins in for an attention-grabbing verse.

Following the release of Ginger in 2019, Brockhampton kept the pedal to the floor for the next few months. They stopped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show to perform “Ginger” and “Sugar” before bringing their talents to The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to perform the latter once again. They also released a pair of videos for “Sugar,” which later became the band’s most successful single to date.

While their upcoming sixth album remains untitled, Brockhampton’s head producer Romil Hemnani revealed in an interview with i-D that the initials for the upcoming project are “RR.” Some fans believed that its full title is Roadrunner after they noticed band members, including Jabari Manwa, wearing “Roadrunner” apparel. As for the upcoming album, Hemnani said, “I’m excited about it, it’s my favourite one yet.”
