Darius Slay Has A Warning For Taylor Swift Ahead Of Eagles-Chiefs Matchup

Darius Slay has been an amazing player with the Philadelphia Eagles. Overall, the fans in Philly love him. He is someone who is a leader in the locker room, and he continues to make big plays. Furthermore, he is someone who pays attention to everything going on in the National Football League. If you have been following along, you know the biggest story is Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce. She has shown up to two games, and she is the only thing the TV cameras want to point to. For many, it is very annoying. For others, it is a lot of fun.

So far, the Kansas City Chiefs are 2-0 whenever Taylor Swift shoes up to their games. Firstly, they defeated the Chicago Bears 41-10. Secondly, they just barely beat the Jets by a score of 23-20. Regardless of the scorelines, they have won both of those games. Slay has taken notice of this, and he is definitely worried about it considering the Eagles will play the Chiefs on November 20th. This game will be a huge Super Bowl rematch, and this time, Slay wants to win.

Darius Slay Has A Request

While on The Volume, Slay revealed that he does not want Swift in the building whatsoever. “Taylor, do not come to the game, ’cause it seems like you bring the energy of winning,” he said simply. Whenever Swift comes to these games, the attention ends up being placed on the Chiefs. Even if they are the visiting team, the cameras want shots of T-Swift. For many, this has been annoying and over-the-top. However, in other ways, it has helped grow the sport.

Needless to say, Taylor Swift will continue to be a polarizing person. As for Slay and the Eagles, they will continue to be one of the best teams in the league this year. They are still undefeated, and fans of the franchise are very excited. Let us know what you think of the Taylor Swift craze, in the comments section below. Kanye West Hilariously Leaves Pedicure Unfinished In New Clip From Ty Dolla Sign

Kanye West and Ty Dolla Sign aren’t just working on new music together: they’re also making sure they’re at least somewhat clean and pretty while doing so. Moreover, the latter just shared the clip of the former getting a pedicure while they were seemingly in a studio session. In the video, the Chicago rapper told the lady giving him the makeover that he was going to leave it half-done, and didn’t want to get it anymore. It was a relatively polite exchange, although Ye did say “They’re my toes” at one point, insinuating that he felt pushed by her to stay.

It was a pretty bizarre moment, but for die-hard fans, pretty much any hint or new update on new Kanye West music is welcome. Given his reclusion and the controversy that he still faces, not many updates emerged from the 46-year-old himself. As such, many rumors, announcements, and speculation as to what his next moves will be in the rap sphere have been based on second-hand reports. Ty Dolla Sign, though, has practically confirmed that he’s hard at work with the “No Child Left Behind” MC to give fans something special.

Furthermore, apparently this whole process took a toll on Kanye West, for understandable reasons. He recently held an emotional listening party for his new album in Italy, and it seems like we might get it soon (although that’s always a question of faith when it comes to Ye releases). In addition, this pedicure clip and these rumors come amidst a lot of leaked footage and videos that surfaced around him. Not only that, but there have even been whole album leaks, such as Dr. Dre’s remixed version of Jesus Is King 2.

Meanwhile, all this created a lot of buzz around the Yeezy main brain’s potential return to the mainstream. He certainly has a lot to answer for, as it’s practically been a year of unaddressed headlines and developments from the outside. Whether Ye significantly speaks on them or just continues as if nothing happened is up in the air. For more news and the latest updates on Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign, stay up to date on HNHH.

Ime Udoka Says Fred VanVleet Was A “Better Fit” Than James Harden For Rockets

As part of a profile on Jalen Green, Ime Udoka has explained why he shot down talk of bringing James Haren back to Houston. “Nothing against James but Fred [VanVleet] is just a better fit. I coached James in Brooklyn. He’s one of the smartest players I’ve ever been around. The words ‘Ime doesn’t want James’ never came out of my mouth. It was, ‘Let’s look at the best fit.’ If we want Jalen and the young guys to take the next steps, we need them to have the ball. As for me saying I don’t want James, that was never the case. It was about fit,” Udoka told ESPN.

The talk of Harden potentially reuniting with Houston burned fast and fierce at the start of the offseason. However, the rumors were cut off by Houston, Harden re-signed with the Sixers and pushed for a trade to the Clippers. Meanwhile, the Rockets gave huge contracts to VanVleet and Dillon Brooks to serve as veteran leadership for the Rockets’ developing core.

Harden Attends Training Camp

Meanwhile, James Harden has appeared at the Sixers training camp. There was speculation as to whether he would be sitting out as the team refused to trade him. However, he was present and participating earlier this week. However, the league is holding its breath for the other shoe to drop. Harden is expected to be disruptive at camp, a tactic he has used in the past to force trades out of unfavorable situations.

Elsewhere, GM Daryl Morey called for patience from fans. “Look, I mean, things need to play out. We feel strongly we have a winning team. We have a team that can win and make a lot of noise in the playoffs. I understand we need to prove that, but teams emerge. You go into last season and say a Miami and Denver were not even in the top three of teams that people thought could make the Finals. Look, we have a lot of questions to answer. Obviously, James is the big one. Coach talked about battles at different positions. But we feel we have the pieces,” Morey said earlier this week at media day.

The Evolution Of The Halloween Series

The Halloween series has seen multiple timelines, each with its unique twists and turns. The most recent timeline, which began with the 2018 film, marked the series’ 40th anniversary. In this rendition, Laurie Strode, portrayed by Jamie Lee Curtis, remains in Haddonfield, haunted by the thought of Michael Myers escaping his confinement. Unlike previous versions, Laurie has a daughter named Karen and a granddaughter named Allyson. The 2018 film sees Michael Myers escaping and causing chaos once again, only to be trapped by the three generations of Strode women.

However, Michael’s reign of terror doesn’t end there. In Halloween Kills, he escapes and goes on another killing spree, leading to a climactic confrontation with Laurie’s daughter, Karen. The story culminates in Halloween Ends, where a new character, Corey Cunningham, becomes intertwined with Michael’s dark world. As the story unfolds, Laurie and Allyson must confront not only Michael but also the new threat posed by Corey.

Drake Roasted For “8AM In Charlotte” Hairstyle

Last night, Drake dropped off a brand new track for listeners, “8AM In Charlotte.” The soulful track is joined by a touching accompanying music video, which features the performer’s 5-year-old son, Adonis. For the most part, fans are loving the track, and can’t wait to hear the rest of For All The Dogs when it drops tonight. With that being said, a lot of the buzz surrounding the video has more to do with Drake’s look than the music. Countless users are chiming in, claiming that they just can’t get behind his hairstyle.

In the video, Drake shows off his curls, which are decorated with a variety of colorful hair clips. The rainbow-colored clips match the Canadian artist’s eye-catching jacket. Though many are finding the hairstyle to be distracting, it’s not the first time he’s put some hair clips to use.

Jamie Foxx’s New Film “The Burial”: What We Know

Although this one was filmed prior to his health scare, Jamie Foxx is back in action. The award-winning, multifaceted entertainer has been on hiatus for months after being hospitalized for a mysterious medical complication. The actor has assured his supporters that he’s doing much better, and as he continues to recover, Foxx is now ushering in the rollout of his latest film, The Burial.

A teaser trailer has also made its way to the internet, and while it doesn’t divulge much of the storyline, we do have some insights. The Burial pulls its inspiration from a true life court case involving eclectic lawyer Willie E. Gary. He was known for his elevated tone, radical energy, and monumental victories against million-dollar companies. Foxx’s film is loosely based on Gary’s triumph against the Loewen Group, and in the feature, the actor portrays the determined counselor.

The Million-Dollar Case

This film takes us back to the mid-1990s as Jeremiah O’Keefe, the owner of a funeral home, hires Willie E. Gary. O’Keefe and the Loewen Group, a more substantial funeral company, had a contract that hadn’t been honored. With Gary’s help and leadership, O’Keefe sued Loewen, and it spelled a huge judgment to the tune of $500 million dollars. However, reports also state that it was later settled for $175 million. This would also ultimately unravel all the white-collar crimes that fall through the corporate cracks.

Further, the case would spell the end of the Loewen Group, and The Burial aims to tell the tale. Albeit, much more dramatically and with Foxx standing alongside fellow icon Tommy Lee Jones, who appears as the distraught O’Keefe. “We gotta go to war,” Foxx is seen passionately delivering in a teaser provided to The Root. “‘Cause that’s what I think litigation is. Litigation is war, it’s a battle. A battle to the death, and I’m not talking about no bullshit either. I’m talking about some Jean-Claude Van Damme, ass-kicking sh*t!”

The character adds: “Now, I know y’all looking at me crazy, but that’s how I like to get. And if we don’t get crazy with these motherf*ckers—I’m telling you. This Loewen Group, they powerful. Gotta lotta money, gotta lotta influence. They have everything that we don’t. But we not gon’ let them intimidate us.”

The Burial Arrives Next Week

If you’re looking for a break from Halloween-centered features, then The Burial is for you. Considering Foxx and Jones are just two of the noteworthy talents involved, it’s set to be a hit, regardless of the season. You can stream the movie on Prime Video upon its release on Friday, October 13. It is unclear if this will be Foxx’s last release for some time, as he continues to recover from his ailment that left him hospitalized. Still, his fans continue to wish him well. Make sure to check out both teaser trailers for The Burial above.

Jason Derulo Is Named In A ‘Quid Pro Quo Sexual Harassment’ Lawsuit Filed By His Former Signee

Jason Derulo has been named in a lawsuit filed by 25-year-old Emaza Gibson in Los Angeles County Superior Court, according to an NBC News report from Thursday, October 5.

The report specifies, “Gibson alleges that Derulo, 34, the ‘Whatcha Say’ singer, turned cold after she rejected his sexual advances and repeated invitations to dine and drink alcohol and that he eventually dropped her deal altogether. She accuses Derulo of quid pro quo sexual harassment.”

The lawsuit also alleges sexual harassment, retaliation, breach of contract, a failure to remedy workplace harassment, and violation of California’s civil rights act against Derulo, his Future History imprint, and Atlantic Records.

NBC News exclusively interviewed Gibson, who said she was approached by Derulo in August 2021 to sign as a solo artist to his imprint Future History’s joint venture with Atlantic Records. Gibson recalled several instances of Derulo allegedly pressuring her to drink with him — in both professional and social environments — in late 2021 despite her telling him that she “wasn’t a drinker.”

“The suit alleges Derulo responded by telling Gibson she might have to take part in ‘goat skin and fish scales,’” NBC News relays. “Gibson told NBC News that she was aware that ‘fish scales’ referred to a strain of cocaine but that she had to look up what Derulo meant by doing ‘goat skin.’”

The report continues, “Gibson said she learned from online articles about rituals involving sex, goat sacrifices and blood that appeared to be what Derulo was talking about. […] The lawsuit states that Gibson considered Derulo’s statement an ‘explicit demand for sex-in-exchange-for-success’ that was reinforced by other behavior, such as repeated pressure to go out with him and the scheduling of late-night studio sessions.”

The lengthy report additionally notes that Gibson last saw Derulo in June 2022, when he “charged at Gibson in front of her mother, [his] own staff, a videographer, and Gibson’s engineer,” which came after Derulo was allegedly neglecting to support Gibson with proper guidance and resources for her music and thus complicating her ability to meet her contract demands.

According to the lawsuit cited by NBC News, Gibson was dropped by Atlantic and Future History in September 2022. Gibson and her mother, Sandra Bales, stated that their attempts to contact Atlantic’s human resources department regarding Derulo’s “sexually, emotionally and physically inappropriate behavior” went unacknowledged.

NBC News had requested comment from representatives for Derulo and Altantic Records, but neither party responded by the time of this writing. Frank Harris, Derulo’s manager, is also a defendant in Gibson’s lawsuit.

Jason Derulo is a Warner Music artist. Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group.

Did 21 Savage Get A Green Card?

For some years, 21 Savage has been locked in an immigration dispute that has made his career more difficult. During his recent tour with Drake, he missed two Canadian dates, including Drake’s hometown Toronto show and the stop in Vancouver. He was replaced on these stops by J. Cole and Travis Scott, respectively, but surely, there were fans who wish they could have seen the Atlanta rapper, especially in the wake of his joint album with Drake, Her Loss.

However, according to a line on Drake’s newest song, Savage’s immigration struggles could soon be coming to an end — or at least, getting easier.

Did 21 Savage Get A Green Card?

In Drake’s new song “8AM In Charlotte,” the superstar raps, “Savage got a green card straight out of the consulate / Where I go, you go, brother, we Yugoslavian.” Tortured pun aside, this would seem to confirm that 21’s immigration status has been confirmed and that he’s got permission to stay in the US. While TMZ has interpreted this to mean the case is closed, though, it’ll probably be best to wait until official confirmation comes straight from the horse’s mouth.

However, we should be finding out soon; Drake and 21’s tour is set to return to Toronto this weekend, according to TMZ, so if Savage does have license to exit the country (and return, which was always the real problem), then fans in Drake’s hometown should be treated to songs like “A Lot,” “X,” and “Bank Account,” as well as the full Drake set featuring their collaborations such as as “Jimmy Cooks,” “Knife Talk,” and “Rich Flex.”

For background: 21 Savage’s immigration troubles stem from a 2019 arrest which left him in ICE detention as the result of an expired visa. It turned out that Savage, who was born in London, was brought to the US as a child but his visa expired when he was just 13 years old. Although he was in the process of applying for a new one, his case was delayed by some criminal charges against him as well as the COVID-19 pandemic.

If he really does have Permanent Resident Card (the so-called “green card”), it would mean he could tour abroad with no fear of being barred reentry into the United States — a fate that befell fellow UK immigrants Slick Rick and MF DOOM — and mean he would be able to pursue new performance opportunities befitting his stature in hip-hop. This is one time we hope Drake’s right — we’ll even forgive that atrocious dad joke of a punchline.
