Kanye West’s Twitter/X Account Has Been Reinstated, But He Allegedly Had To Make A Few Promises Beforehand
The rebranding of X, formerly known as Twitter, has seen the return of some who had left the platform, some by force. One of the most notable one is Kanye West, or Ye. His account was suspended in December 2022, but on Saturday, July 29, West’s Twitter account has been reinstated. However, according to WSJ, he had to make a few promises beforehand to make it so.
An anonymous source told the publication, “After receiving reassurance that he wouldn’t use the platform to share antisemitic or otherwise harmful language,” which was the reason behind his suspension back in December 2022. In a now-deleted post, West shared a photo of a Nazi swastika embedded inside the Star of David. Musk, who then served as the platform’s CEO, commented on the matter, saying West’s account was suspended for “incitement to violence,” violating the platform’s user terms.
Elsewhere in the platform’s report, West won’t be eligible to monetize his account. Advertisements won’t appear next to his posts either. That said, West’s verified status has at least been reinstated.
Weeks ago, Musk uploaded cover art for West’s 2018 album Ye, which people found to be random. Now that West has rejoined the platform, it could have been a tease of his social media return.
Nicki Minaj ‘Swatted’ Again After False Claims Of Shooting At Her Home
Nicki Minaj has reportedly been swatted, again.
Law enforcement arrived to her home in the San Fernando Valley on Saturday afternoon with full sirens and lights blaring, according to TMZ.
The 40-year-old, who appears in the new Call of Duty, was the victim of a bogus 911 call.
Investigators say someone called the emergency number to falsely report a shooting at her mansion in LA’s San Fernando valley.
Nicki was not happy to have law enforcement at her home once again, according to TMZ.
In June, someone made a false report to child welfare officials claiming that Nicki’s three-year-old son, whom she refers to as Papa Bear publicly, was being abused.
After officers arrived, they visited with the Good Form artist and her husband, Kenneth Petty, 51.
An examination of the child determined he was safe and healthy.
The family was awakened early the next morning, around 3 a.m., after another bogus call was made to 911, reporting a fire at the home.
When firefighters arrived, they found no flames.
It was quickly determined that the couple had been victims of ‘swatting.’
It’s a term law enforcement officials use to describe an act of making a false report in order to get a huge police reaction, that can involve an armed SWAT team.
Making a false 911 call is illegal, and in California, can result in felony or misdemeanor charges, resulting in fines and jail time.
Nicki has said nothing publicly about the swatting attempts.
She is, however, celebrating the success of her Barbie World collaboration with Ice Spice and Aqua for the Barbie movie soundtrack.
The song had the highest streaming day for a rap song on Spotify so far this year with five million listens.
She has also surpassed 60 million listeners on the streaming service, making her only the 20th artist to do so.

Cardi B Threw A Mic At A Fan During Her Concert After They Tried To Douse The Rapper With A Drink: ‘Jealous Ass B*tch’
The disturbing trend of assaulting musicians at their concerts might have just come to an end, and it’s all thanks to Cardi B. Over the past few months, several entertainers have had objects hurled at them in the middle of their sets, including Lil Nas X, Drake, and Bebe Rexha. While singer Adele gave fans a stern warning if they dared to attempt such a thing, rapper Cardi B took it a step further.
While performing in the Las Vegas heat, a fan in the crowd tried to douse Cardi B with a drink. It was probably meant as a joke. Cardi B didn’t find it funny. Soon after the liquid from the fan’s styrofoam cup made contact with Cardi B’s skin, the rapper leaped into action by throwing her mic in retaliation.

After one clip of the incident went viral, people on social media were upset that the concertgoer who threw the drink was not hit directly with the microphone. However, from another angle, it seems that the person was hit, thanks to Cardi B’s precise aim.

People on social media praised Cardi for standing up for recording artists that have been grazed by objects in the past few weeks. “Even Adele said you throwing stuff at her, she would be throwing hands,” wrote one fan. “Why are people thinking this is an acceptable thing to do. I don’t condone violence but come on now some people gonna react like Miss Cardi, don’t be shook when you acted first.”

One person complimented Cardi B form, writing, “Watch the switch to the left hand. Watch the aim and precision. Watch a random woman point down to single out who threw the drink in case it wasn’t clear. This is art. ”

Kanye West Has Twitter Account Reinstated After 8-Month Suspension
Kanye West has been reinstated on the social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter), after a nearly eight-month suspension.
The musician and designer, who now goes by the name Ye, had his account reinstated Saturday. X told the Wall Street Journal that the account won’t be eligible for monetization, nor will advertisements appear next to posts.
Ye has yet to post on the social network since the account’s reinstatement.
Elon Musk, X’s owner, suspended Ye’s account last December after the musician shared an image combining the Star of David and a swastika, which was removed from the platform. At the time, Musk said Ye had breached a company rule against incitement to violence.
The account was reinstated after X received reassurance that Ye wouldn’t use the platform to share harmful language, the Wall Street Journal said, citing a source familiar with the matter.
