Following his Lifetime Achievement honor at the 2023 BET Awards, Missy Elliott delivers a message to Busta Rhymes, who she calls her “twin.”

During the 2023 BET Awards, Busta Rhymes was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award. His friends Swizz Beatz and Marlon Wayans presented the award to the Hip-Hop legend.
During his acceptance speech, Busta fought back tears and spoke about the road he traveled to become the legend we know after being ousted from Leaders of The New School. Speaking about the journey, Busta revealed the work was done to feed his eldest son, now 30, and joined him for the ceremony.
Also, during his acceptance speech, Busta Rhymes celebrated and thanked his longtime collaborator Spliff Star and petitioned for the end of beef and “petty feuds” across rap, opting to “love each other.
“They scared for us to get together,” Rhymes said. “We might give y’all too much information.”

Cam’ron knows his Dipset brother Jim Jones is currently battling with Pusha T and offered some words on Instagram.
“Naaa Push!!! Me and capo definitely don’t be on the same page all the time. But I don’t go against the family (Harlem),” Cam wrote. “Don’t use no old problems we had to try and win a battle. Get in dat booth. U nice but @jimjonescapo got u on the ropes and u aint Ropa-doping!! And I don’t care if y’all put me in y’all bars I quit. I do sports.”
Jim Jones is ready for all the smoke. Calling QueenzFlip on The Joe Budden Podcast, Jones asked the group of guys who would slide for Pusha T in the rap battle.
“Who’s gonna spin the block for him? Is Pharrell gonna spin the block for him? Is Malice gonna say a prayer? Who’s gonna spin the block for him?” Jones said. “I’m talking about musically, too. I ain’t talking about thug shit, we already know I can do that. Who he got that’s gon’ spin the block for him? Malice is a preacher who works at Walmart.”

Like many of us in rap, Joe Budden is watching Jim Jones and Pusha T heat up. Speaking on a previous episode, Joe is looking to stay Switzerland in the beef.
“Boy, am I torn,” Joe opened. “On one hand I know to leave Push, you leave him alone. Retired me, active me, if I were ever gonna, I would get at that n***a actually, but boy would I be respectful of my approach.
“I’d have to lead with the jab. A lot of thought would go into it. Pusha T is a methodical man outside of rapping he is a methodical thinking, planning man.”
Over the weekend, Jim Jones fired back at Pusha T after his diss. Jones bypassed the glamorous backdrop of Paris for the block of Harlem, dropping a response to King Push over a hanging mic outside a bodega.
In a response called “Summer Collection,” a From the Block performance, Jones slings jabs at Pusha, including saying he is a fake JAY-Z, saying his diss was trash, joking about his fashion, and alluding that Pusha’s brother, No Malice, used crack.
If you are catching up on how this started, Jim Jones had feelings about Pusha T’s career earlier this year, and as expected, King Push had some words back. Pusha T and his brother No Malice joined their friend Pharrell Williams’ Louis Vuitton menswear fashion show.
As the duo strolled, a new Clipse record played, the first in 13 years, and Pusha had some bars that fans believe to be a response to Jim.

If you are wondering what started all of this, Jim Jones has been critical of Pusha T’s placement on Billboard’s Top 50 Rappers of all-time list. In short, Jim Jones wondered what made Pusha worthy of a ranking and also challenged his importance to HIp-Hop culture. Post Malone is pulling back the layers on his forthcoming album Austin. Hitting Instagram, Post Malone shared the album’s tracklist, which will drop on July 28.
“My new record AUSTIN has 17 songs and drops July 28th ,” Posty wrote. “Here’s a snippet of one of em. I love you!!!”
The song featured on the Instagram post was “Something Real.”
Previously, Post Malone released his new single “Mourning.” The drop comes via Mercury Records/Republic Records.
The banging new single brings a melodic flow to the spry energy of the beat, capturing everything Post Malone has to say that doesn’t “fit in the chorus.”

The new album carries the rapper’s birth name.
“I played guitar on every song on the record and it was a really, really fun experience. I’m super, super excited to share it with you,” Malone said. “‘Chemical‘ is out and that song is on the record. And then on Friday, I have another song called ‘Mourning’ with a ‘u.’ But I’m super excited to get that out for you guys. We just shot a music video in Scotland, it’s absolutely stunning up there. There’s a big ass ice cube in it which I thought was pretty badass.”
Earlier this year, Post Malone surpassed the previous mark for “most RIAA diamond-certified singles from any artist.” Post now has eight RIAA diamond-certified records, shattering Bruno Mars’ previous record of six (Circles, Better Now, I Fall Apart), which he previously held. With “Sunflower” (with Swae Lee), Post is also tied for “the highest platinum-certified single of all time,” resting at 17x platinum.
Post has launched The Diamond Collection, a compilation that will be released this Friday, April 21, 2023, to commemorate this accomplishment. It includes all of his diamond-certified singles and his most recent record, “Chemical,” the lead single from his upcoming fifth studio album, one of the most anticipated albums of 2023.

JAY-Z’s “Empire State of Mind” is one the biggest records of Hov’s career. Stamping its success, Hov’s Alicia Keys-featured single from The Blueprint III is now certified 9x platinum.
The single was certified on June 28 and originally went Gold in December of 2019. The next step for “Empire State of Mind” would be Diamond certification.
Earlier this month, Hov’s collaboration with Kanye West, “N***as in Paris.”
JAY-Z and Kanye West, once known as The Throne, have a new diamond record to their name. Their Watch The Throne classic banger, “Niggas in Paris,” has reached 10x platinum certification.
The single’s producer, Hit-Boy, celebrated the achievement, who wrote on Instagram: “Luv to Ye and Hov for the opportunity, Im forever grateful.”
Quavo is off the BET Awards stage and back in the studio, crafting new tunes. Hitting Instagram, Quavo announced his new project, Rocket Power, which is currently in the mixing stages.
“We Mixing Ima Call For Ur Ear Soon #RocketPower,” Quavo wrote.
Offset and Quavo are cool, but that will not result in the immediate return to making music as Migos. According to TMZ, the duo have been cool for some time, mending their relationship behind the scene.
Sources reveal the two are currently not planning to record new music as a unit. The BET Awards moment was solely for honoring Takeoff, and the Migos name may never be used again.
The unannounced tribute aired as the show returned from commercial, positioning Quavo and Takeoff on opposite sides of a heavenly spotlight, which took the place of Takeoff. The two supported Takeoff’s verse on “Hotel Lobby” before performing their classic anthem “Bad and Boujee.”
The moment was both important to the legacy of Takeoff but assuming to place a nail in a standing beef between the two Migos members.
BET released footage from backstage as T.I. celebrates the two and echoes a statement that all of Hip-Hop had: “Love to see it.”

Actor John Boyega is headed to the Netflix screen alongside Jamie Foxx for the new film They Cloned Tyrone. Speaking with PEOPLE, Boyega revealed that he spoke with Foxx lately, and “He’s doing well.”
“He finally picked up the phone. Thank you, bro,” Boyega said to PEOPLE. “He’s doing well. And then, you know, we just giving him the privacy, and we can’t wait for his return.
“I gave him the well wishes directly. I gave him all the well wishes. So I’m just gonna be waiting until he comes back out here. So take your time, Jamie. We love you, bro.”
Boyega and Foxx’s co-star Teyonah Parris wished the Academy Award winner “all the recovery and healing.”
“He’s so generous as an actor and as a human, along with John. I got lucky to be able to work with such dope men on this project, and dope men of color, that it was just so much fun,” said Parris.

The Hollywood Walk of Fame is about to get even more Hip-Hop. On Monday, the Walk of Fame selection committee announced Angie Martinez and Dr. Dre as two of 31 stars that will be immortalized on the storied sidewalk.
Additional stars joining are Chadwick Boseman, Kerry Washington, Sheryl Lee Ralph, Mario Lopez, Toni Braxton, Brandy Norwoord, Otis Redding, Billie Jean King, and more.
