Iggy Azalea Thinks Britney Spears Doesn’t Get Enough Credit For A Major Aspect Of Her Artistry

Back in 2015, Britney Spears and Iggy Azalea linked up on the collaborative single “Pretty Girls.” Now, Azalea has shared some thoughts on her former song partner, saying that there’s one thing about Spears that she doesn’t think gets enough attention.

On Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, Azalea was asked if she’s kept in touch with Spears and if she’s like to work together again. She responded affirmatively, saying in part, “Now that she has the ability to do it her way, 100 percent… I love Britney and she’s so much more creative than what people give her credit for; What she did with Elton was amazing, and I would love to be part of more of anything that she had to do, especially when they’re 100-percent her own ideas.”

Andrew Watt backed up Azalea’s stance in a 2022 interview, when he said of working with Spears on her and Elton John’sHold Me Closer,” “She came up with her own ideas. She wanted to speed up the record a little bit, and we did that. She’s such a pro with dance music and understanding that kind of stuff and what works for her. […] She knew exactly what she wanted to do. She had spent tons of time with the record; she knew all the lyrics; it was, like, her thing. And it was really awesome to witness and see her be so powerful and crush it. She sounds incredible on the record, and she was involved all the way up until the final mix.”

Nipsey Hussle’s Friend Cowboy Speaks Outside Eric Holder Sentencing: ‘Justice Was Definitely Served’

Eric Holder, Murderer of Nipsey Hussle, Sentenced to 60 Years to Life

Eric Holder, the killer of Nipsey Hussle, has been sentenced to 60 years to life in prison. Holder was found guilty of first-degree murder.

Outside of the courtroom, Hussle’s friend Cowboy spoke on the sentence.

“Justice was definitely served,” Cowboy said. “I was never in it for the time, I just wanted to know why. 60 years, that will hold him. That was definitely justice for Nipsey.”

The sentence is handed down, but Cowboy expresses that time won’t fill the void of the late rapper.

“It’s going to be an open wound forever,” Cowboys said. “None of this is going to bring Nipsey back. He was our friend. He was our everything. It’s a big void.”

Holder killed Nipsey Hussle in 2019, and prosecutors note that after the murder, he kicked the late rapper in the head.

According to TMZ, Holder shot two additional people during the crime. In addition to first-degree murder, Hussle was found guilty of 2 counts of attempted voluntary manslaughter, 2 counts of assault with a firearm, and possession of a firearm by a felon.

According to the Los Angeles Times, Holder left Hussle after a brief encounter only to return several minutes later and shoot the rapper 11 times.

During the trial, Holder’s attorney, Aaron Jansen, did not seek acquittal but instead attempted a lesser charge of manslaughter. During his argument, Jansen argued his client was “triggered” by accusations of cooperating with law enforcement.

“This was not just a pleasant conversation between homies who are chopping it up … this was a serious accusation,” Jansen said.

One of the first witnesses was Shermi Villanueva, a 47-year-old injured in The Marathon Store’s parking lot. During Villanueva’s testimony, the last words of Nipsey Hussle were recounted.

“‘He shot me. He shot me,’” Villanueva said he heard Hussle say. “I heard it, and then I saw Nipsey fall. When I looked and see Nipsey, I started to run.”

When asked about walking the runway, Coi Leray told Paper Magazine, “For The Blonds show, I was nervous because I never walked before in a fashion show. Coi Leray’s look at Chet Lo during London Fashion Week was a dazzling blue dream. The rapper sported a blue Chet Lo gradient effect top and pant duo, paired with a metallic two-toned blue trench coat from Burberry. SZA Talks About Early Frustrations With TDE In New Interview

sza

SZA might be on top of R&B right now, but that didn’t come without some obstacles. The SOS singer recently went into depth about her early frustrations with TDE in a new interview with Billboard.

She said that she didn’t mind being signed to the rap-heavy label, saying that she felt like she was always “the first to do something.”

“I didn’t mind the lack of female artists. I just felt like I was always the first to do something, and that was frustrating. It was me telling y’all I need hair and makeup because I’m super hands-on, on top of being a woman. I’m making PowerPoints trying to explain why I want to be in this type of publication versus that type of publication.”

She went on to say how both her and TDE grew in the process because neither one of them had done something like this before, which pushed them to become “randomly innovative.”

“It was tough,” she recalled. “But by the same token, I think all of us grew together at the same time. They never had to do anything like this before, and we were all being so randomly innovative together by trying to figure out what makes sense. And I also liked that they weren’t trying to clean me up and look like anybody else.”

She added that creatively, they let SZA do her thing. “They were just taking me as I was. That was really priceless, just to express myself visually how I wanted to and without the judgment of “Let’s make her pretty or sparkly and shiny and sterile.”

Lil Wayne Announces Swizz Beatz Produced ‘Tha Carter VI’ Track Featuring DMX

Lil Wayne Says Today's Music 'Lacks Some Creativity'

Tha Carter VI might be coming sooner than we think. Lil Wayne took to IG to announce a new single he’s dropping from the upcoming album. The track is produced by “Uproar” collaborator Swizz Beatz and features a verse from the late DMX.

Both Wayne and Swizz posted a promo video for the upcoming track entitled “Kant Nobody.” The video features the intro of the song with various pictures of Wayne and Swizz before cutting off after DMX’s legendary “Aye yo!” ad-lib. While the video did not say when the song would be dropping, we can only imagine that it will be soon.

Wayne first announced Tha Carter VI during OVO fest last year and even added a pre-save link to the album on his website. However, there haven’t been any updates on the album until now.

This song marks the first feature verse from DMX to be released after his death in 2021. Following his untimely passing, Swizz released DMX’s last album Exodus which X had been working on prior to his passing.
