Young Thug’s Twitter Account — Which Might Be Hacked — Has A Very Important Question For Michael Phelps

Young Thug is, to the best of anyone’s knowledge, currently incarcerated in Fulton County Jail awaiting trial on racketeering charges. So it was pretty weird when today, out of seemingly nowhere, his Twitter account became active again, and even weirder when, rather than addressing the charges against him or checking in with fans, it posed the question of whether Michael Phelps “could swim 100 miles from the middle of the ocean back to shore” — and even tagged Phelps to be sure.

Making the situation even weirder still is the fact that the ever-confident Phelps had an answer. “Yeah,” he wrote back. “I think I could make it.”

[Narrator voice: He absolutely could not make it. No one could. Please do not try this. It is extremely dangerous.]

Just minutes later, Thugger followed up, responding back, “How long do you think it would take?”

[Narrator voice: Again, we strongly caution against attempting this feat. It is highly inadvisable.]

Of course, all of this is so odd simply because Thug shouldn’t be able to access Twitter from jail; not only would a smart device be considered contraband, but tweeting from it would be nothing more than a great way to advertise that he was breaking the rules. His account could be hacked, which would account for the bizarre content — although Thugger himself has been known to tweet the occasional non sequitur himself, so the odds are even on that count.

Still, fans seem to be having fun with the exchange, with one calling Phelps “the greatest white person ever,” and others wondering how Young Thug could be tweeting from jail. Some were amused, others were confused, and you can see the best of both below.

GloRilla Feels ‘Blessed’ With Yo Gotti In The Wake Of Her ‘FNF’ Success

Last month, Memphis rap godfather Yo Gotti signed an up-and-coming rapper from his hometown named GloRilla to his label, CMG, after her single “FNF (Let’s Go)” took off in a big way, becoming one of the viral breakouts of the year. Fans named “FNF” the song of the summer and have spent the past few months celebrating Glo for her rough-and-ready rhymes and down-to-earth bearing. Today, she followed up with her second single since signing to CMG, “Blessed.”

Built on a sparse but hard-hitting beat produced by Macaroni Toni, the new track sees Glo reiterating her realness, asserting that she’d “rather give the people hope” because “it’s pointless to giving f*cks.” She also says she maintains her “ratchet tendencies” despite moving to the suburbs and is more focused on taking care of her people than showing off for clout. Yo Gotti comes in on the second verse to back her up — although it’s clear she doesn’t really need it — and details the levels to his success.

Earlier this week GloRilla gave her fans another example of her commitment to authenticity, telling her followers on Instagram she has no plans of getting plastic surgery despite apparently being encouraged to by some who are used to female stars getting their features augmented. “You mfs better get use to this slim body, green eyes & big beautiful nose of mine cause ain’t a damn thing gone change,” she wrote. “Y’all can hate y’all self all ya want but I luv me some BIG GLO.”

Babyface Says “Verzuz” Against Teddy Riley Pushed Him To Over 1 Million Followers

Babyface attributed a rise of nearly one million followers on Instagram to his 2020 appearance on Verzuz, when he took on Teddy Riley in an episode that infamously concluded with technical difficulties. The Grammy-winning producer discussed the impact Verzuz had on the trajectory of his career during a recent appearance on the Million Dollaz Worth of Game podcast.

“Verzuz was just so powerful I went from 300,000 followers on Instagram to over a million overnight,” he said. “I remember I went to Walgreens and there was a young girl that said she didn’t know my stuff but she was [now] a fan.”

Babyface says that the rapid growth in popularity caused him to start targeting a younger audience with his music.

“I realized I started reaching a younger crowd and I thought I should do music that touches them as well,” he added.

While their original Verzuz appearances were cut short due to technical difficulties, Babyface and Teddy Riley rematched that September.

Babyface is currently gearing up for the release of his upcoming album, Girl’s Night Out, which will give fans a look at the new direction of his sound. Earlier this month, Babyface teamed up with Kehlani for the single, “Seamless.” Additionally, the project is expected to feature Ari Lennox, Doechii, Sevyn Streeter, and more.

Brittany Renner Congratulates PJ Washington & Alisah Chanel On Their Engagement

A new chapter is beginning for PJ Washington now that the Charlotte Hornets star has proposed to his girlfriend. We often associate Washington with his sports career or his ex, Brittany Renner, who is also the mother of his son. The couple reportedly met while Washington was a college basketball star and Renner was 26 years old, causing wide debates regarding age gaps in couples. Not long after they welcomed their child, Renner and Washington called it quits, causing him to go online and profess that she never really loved him.

The online beef has dissipated in recent years and Washington is now happily in love with Alisah Chanel. The NBA star proposed to his pregnant now-fiancée and she showed off her bling on Instagram.

“Soooooo…..this happened this morning,” she wrote in the caption. “Issa fiancée [ring emoji] WOW babe you did that [goat emoji] I LOVE YOU [blue heart emoji].” In the comments, Washington left a kissy-faced emoji, and Renner dropped off her congratulatory message, as well.

Renner recently went on a podcast where she refuted internet rumors that she was living the good life from $200K per month in child support from Washington. She stated that she receives $2,500 per month and lives a regular life when it comes to single parenthood.
