Lil Durk Will ‘Take A Break & Focus On My Health’ After A Pyrotechnic Went Off In His Face At Lollapalooza

Lil Durk is in the middle of a phenomenal year. He released his seventh album 7220 at the top of the year. That project arrived with 18 songs and features from Gunna, Future, Summer Walker, and Morgan Wallen and went on to become Durk’s first solo No. 1 album. He later extended the project with 12 additional songs with help from Moneybagg Yo, EST Gee, Doodie Lo, Ella Mai, and A Boogie Wit Da Boogie. It’s this album, and previously released efforts from his discography, that Lil Durk brought for a performance at Lollapalooza. His set was going well for the most part, until a scary incident occurred on stage.

During his Lollapalooza set, Lil Durk was walking on stage when one of the onstage pyrotechnics went off in his face. This caused Durk to stumble backward as he held his hands to his eye after he was struck in the face by smoke. After a brief moment, Durk returned to performing as he was seemingly okay after the incident. However, he took to Instagram afterward for an update with fans.

“Due to the incident that happened at Lollapalooza in Chicago on stage, I’ma take a break & focus on my health,” Durk wrote with a picture of his right eye in a bandage. “I finished my performance yesterday for my fans. Appreciate y’all.”

Travis Scott Turns Up To Glorilla’s “F.N.F”

Memphis artist, Glorilla, has quickly taken the hip-hop industry by storm with her hit record “F.N.F.” While it started trending on social media, it didn’t take long before it was on the airwaves and being listened to by thousands of people across the country. The track has brought her so much success that she was able to get her teeth done and also managed to get signed to Yo Gotti’s label, Collective Music Group– often referred to as CMG.

Not only are fans replaying the song, but some notable people in the industry can’t get enough of it as well. Video footage captured Travis Scott, rapper and producer, in the club vibing to the song’s bass-thumping beat. As it blasted through the speakers, Travis ran in place and humped his shoulders up and down to the tune.

The caption on the video read, “Travis turning up to Glorilla is a whole mood [laughing emojis].” Apparently, hundreds of people agree with that statement. The Neighborhood Talk shared the video on their platforms, and people couldn’t wait to chime in and hype the father of two up.

One person wrote, “And Travis is me when this song comes on.” Another one added, “Lol. I have never seen him this carefree. It looks good on him.” Plenty of others chimed in saying, “Let’s Goooo,” referring to a popular line from the song’s lyrics.

In recent news regarding the Cactus Jack Records recording artist, his baby mother, Kylie Jenner, seemingly hinted at wanting to have more kids with him. After posting his fit, Jenner slid in his comments and dropped several pregnant woman emojis.

25 Dead After Historic Flash Flood Strikes Eastern Kentucky

As search parties continue to travel across Eastern Kentucky and surrounding states, a total of 25 people have been confirmed dead as a result of the flash floods that have taken over the area over the past few days.

“It is devastating,” Governor Andy Beshear told NPR of the crisis plaguing several cities and counties right now. “We have whole towns that are underwater, houses that were in the line of the water are just gone; not a piece of the house left.”

He added, “We’ve lost 25 Kentuckians, each one a child of God, that isn’t going to be there at that next holiday, and we’re going to lose more before this is done.”

Authorities have confirmed that six children died in the wreckage, including a 1-year-old. As of Saturday, 1,300 people are said to have been rescued via boat or aircraft in Kentucky, as well as in areas of Tennessee and West Virginia

“It’s hard, it’s even harder for those families and those communities,” Beshear told listeners during a press conference, asking everyone to “keep praying” as search teams do their best to find all those who remain unaccounted for.

The severe weather conditions are said to have left tens of thousands of people without power, and even some without clean water. This weekend, three cities and more than a dozen counties declared a state of emergency.

While they fight to recover from this flood, Kentuckians are preparing for additional rainfall in the coming days. “While it won’t be as severe, we already have so much water and we’re saturated, it’s going to be a problem,” Beshear noted.

“And then you go into next week and it’s going to be really, really hot, and we are going to have a lot of people that are without power. So, we’re bringing every resource to bear. What we face is tough.”

RIP to those who have passed. Tap back in with HNHH later for any updates on the Kentucky tragedy.

A$AP Bari Calls Out Playboi Carti For No “Go2DaMoon” Credit

“Go2DaMoon” is a standout track on Playboi Carti’s last album, 2020’s Whole Lotta Red. The track officially only features Kanye West, but A$AP Bari is saying that he too had a hand in the making of the song.

In an Instagram Story on Friday, Bari claimed that he had a large part in “Go2DaMoon.” “When you play Carti a Kanye song you had in ur phone produce by @wheezy,” wrote Bari along with a video of Playboi dancing to the song in question. Bari continued: “Even tho Carti never paid me or gave me Credit on the album but that go’s to a lot of rapper I’ve helped out but never got Credit for.”

Wheezy and Outtatown are credited as producers on the track, and Wheezy also got a writing credit along with Kanye and Carti. Bari is nowhere to be seen in the credits.

The A$AP Mob founder is good friends with Kanye, and maybe West himself felt bad about the snub, as just last week he gifted Bari a Maybach truck. Bari was very appreciative, posting about the gift. “Yo, this n***a Ye bought me a new fucking Maybach, yo!” he wrote in a post. “If you know me, you know I crashed my Maybach two days ago, bro! This n***a bought me a new Maybach truck, bruh. What the f**k is going on right now… I’m ’bout to cry, bro.”

It looks like Carti’s going to need to buy Bari something nice to get back on his good side.

JAE5 Collabs With Dave & BNXN On New Record “Propeller”

Jae5, born Jonathan Kweku Awote-Mensah, is a British-Ghanian record producer hailing from East London. Signed to Black Butter Records, the hit-maker is known for producing records with afrobeats that are sure to get stuck in anyone’s head. In his Spotify bio, it states, “With all the accolades under his belt, it’s not his turn to lead… summer is coming again and JAE5 is ready.”

Keeping true to that statement, JAE5 dropped “Propeller” on July 28. Featuring artists Dave and BNXN, the three-minute song consists of a beat that is not unexpected from the producer. It’s filled with drums and different melodies, making the artists’ voices echo as they deliver their bars.

The song starts with BNXN shouting out the man behind the beat– JAE5. From there, he executes the catchy hook, singing, “Been a long time since I learned to put rhymes together/Spin around your block/I’m a big propeller.” In Dave’s verse, he raps about a plethora of topics, ranging from not trusting women to being grateful for how far he’s come.

Aside from the record, the trio also got together to deliver a visual. The video shows African people in a village doing ordinary tasks like braiding their hair and washing clothes.

NBA Icon Bill Russell Has Died At 88

NBA star Bill Russell died on Sunday with his wife by his side. Russell was 88 years old, and a giant in the NBA as a player and the first Black coach in any US major league. He was an 11-time champion and 5-time MVP during his storied career, and was a valued basketball icon both on and off the court.

Russell’s family made the announcement on his Twitter account. “It is with a very heavy heart we would like to pass along to all of Bill’s friends, fans, & followers: Bill Russell, the most prolific winner in American sports history, passed away peacefully today at age 88, with his wife, Jeannine, by his side. Arrangements for his memorial service will be announced soon,” reads the statement.

The announcement continues by detailing some of the many accomplishments Russell achieved throughout his life: “Bill’s two state championships in high school offered a glimmer of the incomparable run of pure team accomplishment to come: twice an NCAA champion; captain of a gold-medal-winning US Olympic team; 11 times an NBA champion; and at the helm for two NBA championships as the first black head coach of any North American professional sports team.”

The statement continues: “Along the way, Bill earned a string of individual awards that stands unprecedented as it went unmentioned by him. In 2009, the award for the NBA Finals most valuable player was renamed after two- time Hall of Famer as the ‘Bill Russell NBA Finals Most Valuable Player Award.’ Bill’s wife, Jeannine, and his many friends and family thank you for keeping Bill in your prayers. Perhaps you’ll relive one or two of the golden moments he gave us, or recall his trademark laugh as he delighted in explaining the real story behind how those moments unfolded. And we hope each of us can find a new way to act or speak up with Bill’s uncompromising, dignified and always constructive commitment to principle. That would be one last, and lasting, win for our beloved #6.”

As the tweet makes clear, Russell was a towering figure in the NBA, and had a tremendous impact on what the league has become today. He’ll certainly be missed.

Donald Trump Says The U.S. Shouldn’t Have To Bail Brittney Griner Out

Last week, Brittney Griner got some good news. The basketball star has been held in Russia since March after she was arrested on drug charges. For months, dozens of public figures have spoken up for the Phoenix Mercury player, urging the government to help her obtain freedom. In response, the Biden administration announced that they would trade Griner for Russian arms dealer, Viktor Bout.

In an effort to deliver an update on the matter, Congressman Colin Allred told TMZ, “I think it’s a matter of time, but I think it’s going to get done.” Some citizens were thrilled at the news, but one person, in particular, isn’t too fond of the exchange. While doing an interview for The Clay Travis & Buck Sexton, Donald Trump did not hold back on the situation.

“She went in there, loaded up with drugs,” the former president stated, “into a hostile territory where they are very vigilant about drugs– and she got caught.” He went to question the exchange, as Viktor Bout is said to be a dangerous man. “We’re supposed to get her out for an absolute killer– one of the biggest arms dealers in the world,” he added.

Further into his rant, the 76-year-old scolded Griner, alluding to the fact that she should be held responsible for her actions. “She knew… and she admitted it without too much force because it is what it is.” He also labeled Griner as “potentially spoiled,” being that she’s going to be set free although she broke the law.
