DJ Premier says that the first single for a Terror Squad compilation scheduled for release in the 2000s was going to be a collaboration with 50 Cent, but Dr. Dre stepped in after the New York rapper signed with him and Eminem. Premier recalled how the incident went down during a recent appearance on Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club.

“[Fat Joe] signed me to Terror Squad, and we were supposed to do a project like a compilation album the way Khaled does his, and the first single I was going to drop was a 50 Cent record,” Premier said on the show. “This was when everybody wasn’t really messing with 50 to the fullest because he was having too much drama after doing ‘How To Rob,’ and me and Fif hit it off right away and clicked when I got on the phone with him.”

He continued: “He said he would do the record, and right when it’s about time to do the record, we get a call that Fif can’t do it. I’m like, ‘Why not?’ and they like he’s about to sign to Eminem and Dr. Dre, and I’m like, ‘Noooo,’ because we already committed to us and I talked to Dre and Dre was like ‘Preem, I love you, but he’s not doing any more recording until he does his debut album.’”

The debut eventually came with Get Rich Or Die Tryin’, 50’s classic album that was released in 2003. Premier and 50 were able to finally collaborate years later in the form of 2011’s “Shut Ur Bloodclot Mouth.”

The legendary producer’s appearance on The Breakfast Club comes after the release of his latest album, DJ Premier’s Hip Hop 50 Volume 1, which dropped on July 15. The project features Nas, Lil Wayne, Joey Bada$$, Run The Jewels, Slick Rick, Remy Ma, and Rapsody.

Miami Swim Week is in full swing down south, with hundreds of models flocking to Florida to strut their stuff down the runway in this season’s hottest bikinis.

Among those walking in shows this week is 34-year-old Angela Simmons, who modelled for Matte Collection in a stunning green two-piece complete with pleated details and a cover-up shirt in the same colour and fabric.

Her face was immaculately glammed, and her long black hair flowed down her shoulders. For her accessories, the mother of one donned several large diamond chains and a pair of clear heels.

Aside from the gorgeous swimsuit, many couldn’t help but notice that Simmons embraced her natural body rather than editing out any so-called “imperfections.” She addressed this in the caption, writing, “Raw, no edit.”

“REAL bodies matter,” the shoe designer continued. “And thick thighs save lives lol.”

Friends like Taraji P. Henson, Gabrielle Union, and La La Anthony all dropped by the comment section to hype Simmons up, and elsewhere online, fans of the socialite made it known that they love to see her confidence.

“So many altered bodies, [people] forget and don’t appreciate natural bodies,” one social media user pointed out. “Lord bless me with the confidence of Angela Simmons in my two-piece this summer,” another chimed in.

Over the weekend, Sesame Place Philadelphia went viral for all of the wrong reasons. Thanks to footage posted by Instagram user @__jodiii__, the park has been blasted after a video showed one of its costumed employees waving their finger in a “no” gesture at two little Black girls after high-fiving multiple people. 

In her original post, the mother of the two children wrote, “We were on our way out of sesame place and the kids wanted to stop to see the characters. THIS DISGUSTING person blatantly told our kids NO then proceeded to hug the little white girl next to us! Then when I went to complain about it, they looking at me like I’m crazy. I asked the lady who the character was and I wanted to see a supervisor and she told me SHE DIDNT KNOW !! I will never step foot in @sesameplace ever again !”

The video eventually went viral and sparked online commentary from social media users and celebrities alike. Even Kelly Rowland shared her thoughts on the matter, saying, “Had that been me… that whole parade would have been in flames. Like, are you serious? You’re not going to speak to my child?”

Given the online backlash, it was only a matter of time before Sesame Place Philadelphia responded, and late on Sunday evening, the Sesame Street-themed amusement park shared a statement on the matter via its official Instagram account. 

“Our brand, our park and our employees stand for inclusivity and equality in all forms,” the statement read. “That is what Sesame Place is all about and we do not tolerate any behaviors in our parks that are contrary to that commitment. We also are, and have always been, committed to making sure every family and every child has the best possible experience at our parks and we are incredibly disappointed when that does not happen. Regarding the incident yesterday, the costumes our performers wear sometimes make it difficult to see at lower levels and sometimes our performers miss hug requests from guests.”

“The performer portraying the Rosita character has confirmed that the ‘no’ hand gesture seen several times in the video was not directed to any specific person, rather it was a response to multiple requests from someone in the crowd who asked Rosita to hold their child for a photo which is not permitted,” the statement continued. “We apologize to these guests for not delivering the experience they expected and we commit to do our best to earn their and all guests’ visit and support.”

The statement has been out for less than 24 hours, but judging from the post’s comment section, Sesame Place Philadelphia’s apology is not being taken seriously. Yung Miami commented under the post, writing, “RACI$T!! Take accountability!!!!!!!” and “SHAME ON YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!?” Dr. Chanita Foster also criticized the statement, saying, “PR statement is horrible.”

Most notably, however, the mother of the two girls from the viral video has also spoken out once again, blasting Sesame Place Philadelphia for the seemingly disingenuine apology.

“I never asked for that character to take a picture and As I am watching my video I don’t believe that family asked either,” the mother said in her rebuttal. “I whole heartedly feel as though that statement was released to save face. Also a manager reached out to me earlier via phone convo. I [responded] via dm to confirm. Since the post went viral no communication was had since then ! @sesameplace instead of trying to save face you should of gave a public apology to my girls! THat statement disrespectful and distasteful.”

“The character could’ve just waved to everyone or just kept walking, but to blatantly look at my kids and say no! I’m not [accepting] that. Don’t try to tell me he can’t see lower levels,” she continued. “So embarrassing and hurtful. I will repost this video everyday until the situation is handled. Signed : A hurt mom.”

The reality star and Thompson have been on-again-off-again over the years, with several serious cheating scandals causing major rifts in their relationship, though they somehow seem to wind up right back together again almost every time.

While they may not have rekindled their romance, Kardashian has made it abundantly clear over the years that she would love for True to have a sibling, and that her children having the same father is very important to her.

Word of a new baby is often exciting, so many reached out to the 38-year-old to extend their congratulations, but it wasn’t long before rumours about how the child’s father has been celebrating reached the tabloids.

As TMZ reports, the Canadian athlete was spotted clubbing in Greece, partying the night away and eventually leaving the venue very early in the morning while holding hands with a mystery woman.

Of course, Twitter had plenty to say about the matter. “If you are a woman on this Earth giving Tristan Thompson the time of day, you should be embarrassed,” one user said.

Though many were defending Kardashian, others feel that she’s the one to blame here. “Y’all keep thinking that Tristan Thompson is the weird one in this situation but it’s definitely Khloé,” another user added.

Chaney Jones has responded to the rumor that she and Justin Combs have taken off together on a trip to Greece. The 24-year-old model says that she’s with a large group and they’ve been family friends for years.

After sharing photos on the beach from the trip, fans noticed that both Jones and Combs were in the same location. Jones clarified the situation in the comments section of a photo of her in the water.

“No there was a group of us there & I’ve been friends with that family for years,” she wrote in response to one user. “Please stop believing everything you see on the internet lol.”

Jones was previously in a relationship with Kanye West, but Page Six reported back in June that the two had broken up. Jones tried to quell the reports by posting “Happy birthday baby I love youuuuu,” to West on social media.

Later that month, Jones posted a TikTok video of her playing football with Combs.

Jones and Combs aren’t the only two celebs who were spotted vacationing in Greece. NBA star Tristan Thompson was seen holding hands with a mystery woman in Mykonos.
