Lil Uzi Vert Unleashes ‘I Know’ From Their Forthcoming EP ‘Red & White’

Last week, Lil Uzi Vert, who recently started going by they/them pronouns, announced their new EP Red & White. It’s the prelude to the Philadelphia-native rapper’s long-awaited project The Pink Tape, which they first announced towards the end of 2021.

Uzi is already giving us a taste of this new material with the song “I Know,” which was uploaded to Soundcloud on Monday, following the release of “Space Cadet” over the weekend. Produced by Sonny Digital, it has an addictive beat and sharp lines. “I am not one to wait, so you gotta say when you ready / You are disloyalty, so tell me when we go steady,” they rap in a flow anchored by the simple but catchy hook, “I know.” Some fans know the track from when it was called “Neck On Froze,” which was previewed on Uzi’s Instagram in 2017. It was supposed to be on Luv Is Rage 2 but didn’t make the cut.

In 2017, Uzi revealed that they gave up on trying to have a “regular” job and made a bet on their music. “It was like, ‘If I get this face tattoo, I got to focus,’” they said. “I can’t go in nobody’s office with a suit on with this shit on my face. I got to focus on what I want to do.”

Listen to “I Know” below.

Lil Uzi Vert is a Warner Music artist. Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group.

Kylie Jenner Dubbed “Climate Criminal” By Twitter After Taking 12-Minute Flight In Her Private Jet

Though most of the headlines surrounding Kylie Jenner as of late have been positive ones about her family with Travis Scott, this past weekend, the beauty mogul was faced with some major criticism online over what some have deemed extravagant use of her private jet.

As per Page Six, the mother of two was exposed by the Twitter account @CelebJets, which frequently maps out the flying plans of the biggest stars. Last Tuesday, Jenner reportedly flew from Camarillo, California to Van Nuys in the same state, and according to the account’s calculations, the estimated flight time was just a few minutes as opposed to a road trip that would take several hours.

A few minutes on a plane to get to your destination does sound like a pretty sweet deal, though it was later clarified that the reality star’s actual flight time was 35 minutes there and approximately 12 minutes on the way back.

It’s been noted that @CelebJets will usually list the pounds of jet fuel used, the cost of said fuel, and the amount of CO2 emissions, though this brief trip didn’t warrant the same kind of information.

As is customary on Twitter, users came across the posts about Jenner’s quick jaunt and were quick to rip her apart. “Can’t wait to see Kylie Jenner post environmental awareness pics on her stories as if she isn’t single-handedly doing more damage to the environment than most of us with her 3 min flights,” one person vented.

“Every time a paper straw begins to dissolve into my drink, I think about how Kylie Jenner uses a private jet for 3 min flights and I get mind-numbingly angry,” another added.

Funnily enough, the 24-year-old flexed her and her boyfriend’s private jets on Instagram last week, and the comment section has since been littered with replies of similar angry sentiments – read more about that here, and tap back in with HNHH later for more pop culture news updates.

Eminem’s Daughter Hailie Jade Recalls “Surreal” Childhood Experiences With Famous Father

Days after announcing her podcast, Hailie Jade Mathers launched Just a Little Shady. There have been rumors about Eminem’s daughter expanding her business ventures into cosmetics and fashion, but first, she shared that her podcast would be making an arrival. It didn’t take long for Eminem’s fans to jump online with questions about whether or not Slim Shady himself would be making an appearance, but for the premiere episode at least, Hailie spoke openly about growing up with a father in the limelight.

Hailie’s podcast co-host is her childhood best friend Brittany Ednie, and they recalled Em’s little girl inviting Brittany to tag along onto the Rap icon’s tour bus.

“It’s so fun to look back…thinking back as an adult, I’m like, ‘Wow, that’s so, so surreal,'” said Mathers. “And those memories of me thinking those were normal things, now I look back like, ‘Holy crap, that was cool.”‘

Ednie added, “‘I remember going on [the tour bus] and all our memories of being young were so cool and unique to look back at now. At the time, it felt so normal and not anything strange or different. We didn’t know any better.”

“That was so fun,” Hailie said. “I always like, think about that time. We went to Florida, my dad was working on something, and he set up for us to do, like, the limo and take it to Disney and we did the princess tea party, and he had the dresses waiting for us. And even then, at the time, we were so happy and so excited, but we didn’t get to appreciate that moment as much as now when we talk about it and think back on it.”

It looks as if this podcast may offer some untapped insight into what Eminem’s life is like behind the scenes, if not a glimpse, since the rapper doesn’t share much bout his lifestyle. Now that his baby girl is 26 years old, Hailie Jade is ready to share her stories about Eminem as a doting father.

Boosie Badazz Believes The Industry Is Moving Away From Gangbanging Rappers

As the news surfaced that Atlanta prosecutors are lining up more RICO cases, rappers are making sure their lawyers are ready for action. We’ve witnessed the ongoing updates regarding YSL’s explosive case that resulted in over two dozen people being arrested and charged. These suspects have included Young Thug and Gunna, who remain incarcerated, and as they deny any and all allegations of the crimes stacked against them, the D.A.’s office confirmed that more indictments are on the horizon.

In his latest of many VladTV interviews, Boosie shared a few thoughts on the shifts being made in Hip Hop and how the industry seems to be drifting away from Gangsta Rap culture and into a sound that will bring less controversy.

“They basically doing all this to separate gangbanging from Rap,” said Boosie. “They gon’ basically tell you, you can’t be a gangbanger and Rap… I’m not a gang banger, but I think it’s a bad thing for them. Gangbangers. Because what they’re preaching about, they’re not gonna let happen. The power that bring it, they’re not gonna let it stay. The impact you’re having on people, they’re not gonna it stay. You’re gonna have to be a fake rapper.”

“If they see you goin’ that way, they’re gonna stop you,” he added. “That’s why [they said], ‘We’re gonna get YSL.’ Who everybody lookin’ up to. And that’s the way they can do it with the gangbanging thing. That’s a tool they got right now, and it’s become successful, but I want all them boys free. I want all them boys at home. I just tell ’em, get close with God, man. Get close with God in the motherf*cka. You never know.”

Elon Musk Vacations On Luxury Yacht In Mykonos After Being Hit With Mega Twitter Lawsuit

He may have just been slammed with a $44B lawsuit, but new photos snapped of Elon Musk on vacation in Europe show him looking more relaxed than ever.

As Page Six reports, the father of 10 has been spending part of his summer in Mykonos, Greece. On Sunday (July 17), the paparazzi snapped pictures of the Tesla CEO aboard the luxury yacht “Zeus” on the Aegean Sea.

Other guests onboard included newlyweds Ari Emanuel (long said to be the inspiration for Entourage character Ari Gold) and Sarah Staudinger; it’s been noted that the boat costs nearly $20K per week and can accommodate a total of six guests in over three cabins, as well as room for the professional crew at Musk and co.’s beck and call.

When he first got on board, the 51-year-old was seen wearing a plain white t-shirt and black swim trunks. He protected himself from the brightness and heat with a baseball hat and sunglasses, keeping a pair of flip-flops on his feet as well.

Other photos found Musk being hosed down by Emanuel before jumping in the water for a swim and enjoying a cocktail before heading out to explore the island with friends.

As we mentioned earlier, the South African engineer is in the midst of a legal battle with Twitter, which he was going to buy in a multi-billion dollar deal a few months back.

Eventually, though, Musk pulled out due to a misunderstanding around bot accounts on the website, but the platform doesn’t plan to let him walk away from their deal without a fight – read more about the lawsuit here, and tap back in with HNHH later for more pop culture news updates.

Ice Cube Rejected “Menace II Society” Offer Because He Didn’t Want To Be Typecast

There aren’t many artists who can go from gangster rapper to movie star, but Ice Cube has carved out quite the career for himself. Cube earned his stripes by becoming an N.W.A. standout in the late 1980s into the ’90s, but his career took a meteoric climb as a solo artist. Once he dipped his toes into the acting and directing game his visibility would only increase, making his reach go farther in the mainstream direction. Now, he’s known for spitting hard rhymes and making family-friendly or action-packed films.

It seems that having a diversified portfolio was something of importance to Cube, as he recently expressed during his appearance on The Guest List podcast. While there, the Rap legend said he passed over a role in 1993’s Menace II Society because he wanted to avoid being pigeonholed into a certain type of character.

“I would say Menace II Society. I had a shot to do O-Dog, even though I think Larenz Tate killed it,” said Cube as he named the passed-up project as one of his regrets. The character was a hot-headed gangster which closely resembled his portrayal of Doughboy in John Singleton’s Boyz N the Hood.

“I just didn’t wanna be typecast. You know what I mean? I was like, ‘I just did Boyz N the Hood and they just gonna have me be the L.A. gangbanger,’ you know what I mean? Every damn movie. I was like, ‘Nah I don’t wanna play that… [But] that was one movie that when I saw it I was like, ‘Ooo that role is cold.'”

It would have been interesting to see Cube in that role, but as he said Larez Tate helped create a classic. Check out Ice Cube’s interview in full below.

Stunna 4 Vegas Claims DaBaby Made $350K From Dua Lipa For “Levitating (Remix)” Verse

Dua Lipa and DaBaby are unlikely to hop on a track together again anytime soon, but that doesn’t mean that the Billion Dollar Baby didn’t make away with a hefty payday before the two artist’s relationship turned sour.

Back in October of 2020, the English songstress shared a remix of her “Levitating” track featuring Johnathan Kirk, though it didn’t get nearly as much exposure as it was intended to after DB shared a heinous homophobic rant during his set at Rolling Loud

Dua was quick to condemn the 30-year-old for his harmful comments about people diagnosed with HIV. “I’m surprised and horrified at DaBaby’s comments,” she wrote on Instagram last summer.

“I really don’t recognize this as the person I worked with. I know my fans know where my heart lies and that I stand 100% with the LGBTQ community. We need to come together to fight the stigma and ignorance around HIV/AIDS.”

Though many were upset with Baby for what he said on stage at RL that night, according to one of his label’s artists, it had no bearing on how booked and busy he was at the time.

During a sitdown with VladTV, Stunna 4 Vegas said that the “ROCKSTAR” artist’s cash and car flow didn’t stop. At the height of the controversy, he shared “Lonely” with Lil Wayne, which landed him back on the Billboard chart, peaking at No. 2.

The joint track also went 4x platinum, though DaBaby eventually had his credit revoked due to the backlash he was facing.

Elsewhere in the interview, Stunna alleged that his label head made a cool $350K for collaborating with Dua Lipa – check it out in the video below, and tap back in with HNHH later for more hip-hop news updates.

Mickey Rourke Fondly Remembers Tupac Shakur: “We Loved Each Other”

After a two-year delay, Bullet was released in 1996. The film starred Mickey Rourke, Donnie Wahlberg, Tupac Shakur, and many other notable names, and sadly, the Rap icon was unable to see the fruits of his labor because Bullet would arrive just one month after his death. Pac was gunned down during a drive-by shooting in Las Vegas in September 1996, and aside from establishing himself as a formidable Rap star, he also was taking Hollywood by storm.

There have been several conversations in recent days about Tupac’s talents thanks to a controversial take by T-Pain, but he isn’t the only one discussing the late star. Rourke also shared a tidbit of his days with Shakur as he remembered his friend fondly.

Rourke recently visited Piers Morgan Uncensored where he spoke about the Amber Heard-Johnny Depp saga at length, but near the conclusion of the interview, Morgan asked the veteran actor what it was like partying with Tupac over two decades ago. The very question caused Rourke’s face to light up.

“We never saw the daylight,” the actor said after a chuckle. “I mean, I love him, I miss him. Daily. We were very similar. We had a lot of stuff in common and we loved each other, deeply. I think about him all the time. All the time. On a weekly basis.”
