Quando Rondo Claims NBA YoungBoy Gave Him $1 Million

A little thing like a failed relationship isn’t keeping Quando Rondo down. Rappers aren’t necessarily the type to jump online and express their heartache after a breakup, and for Rondo, he isn’t thinking about his ex thanks to a gift he claims he received from NBA YoungBoy. Quando Rondo has repeatedly expressed his support for Top—often jumping into online beefs by trolling the Louisiana rapper’s foes. That unwavering dedication has seemed to pay off in a big way as Rondo revealed YoungBoy alleged gave him $1 million.

On his Instagram Story, Quando Rondo seemingly threw a few verbal shots at his ex-girlfriend while delivering the surprising news.

“I give it 2 weeks after the break up you gone be getting ****** but I ain’t tripping I seen it all,” he wrote. “LIL TOP JUST GAVE ME A MILLION DOLLARS LAST WEEK PLUS I ALLREADY HAD A COUPLE HUNNIT I CAN CARELESS BOUT A ***** GOT A BAG.”

After DJ Akademiks shared the screenshot of Rondo’s post, social media users questioned the validity of the claim. Meanwhile, we’re not sure how YoungBoy has been spending his days recently, but after beating his federal case, we’re sure he’s somewhere celebrating with his loved ones.

Check out Quando Rondo’s post below and let us know if you think YoungBoy handed him a milli.

Netflix Tests Out Charging For Password Sharing After Losing Nearly 1M Subscribers In 3 Months

After losing nearly one million subscribers in the second quarter of 2022, Netflix is gearing up to crack down on password sharing.

In the past, the streaming platform has suggested that it would be banning users from sharing their account information with others in different households, but now, it seems that the plan is to monetize such activities.

A recent blog post from Netflix reveals how its “Paid Sharing” program will work. “Each Netflix account – whatever your plan – will include one home where you can enjoy Netflix on any of your devices. To use your Netflix account in additional homes, we will ask you to pay an extra [fee].”

The example says that each additional home would cost $2.99 on top of your current subscription cost.

“Members on the Basic plan can add one extra home, Standard up to two extra, and Premium up to three extra. You will soon be able to control where your account is being used – and remove home at any time – from your account settings page.”

The same blog post confirmed that users will be able to access their “home” account while on the go using a tablet or laptop.

For those who are using someone else’s account in their home, however, they may soon notice a notification asking them to update their primary household to a new location, add a secondary location, or give up their Netflix privileges for the time being.

As Uproxx notes, a similar model has been used by Hulu, though it’s caused headaches for families who don’t share a zip code, but like to share an account.

What are your thoughts on Netflix’s plans for the future? Let us know if you plan to keep your subscription, or if you’ll be spending your streaming dollars elsewhere below.

Toxic Alcohol Found In 21 Teens Who Died At South African Club

A peculiar story out of South Africa has stunned the world after nearly two dozen teenagers died at a bar. The story first surfaced last month as authorities shared that they found a bizarre, yet devastating scene at the Enyobeni Tavern in East London within the Eastern Cape. USA Today reported that upon arrival at the scene, police were shocked to find that most of the victims were lifeless, sprawled across the venue. The victims were all reportedly 13 to 17 years old.

There were 21 teenagers who died that day, and many were found still sitting in their seats, laying on tables, on the club’s floor, or draped over chairs.

Because there wasn’t any evidence of injury or foul play, the mystery deepened as authorities attempted to find a cause of death. This week, results from the medical examiner have been shared, but the findings don’t necessarily point to a resolution. However, it has been speculated that homemade alcohol may be the culprit.

“Methanol has been detected in all the 21 individuals that were there; however, there is still progressive analysis of the quantitative levels of methanol and whether it could have been the final cause of death,” said Dr. Litha Matiwane, Eastern Cape provincial deputy director for clinical service, according to USA Today.

Methanol is a colorless, odorless liquid that “is not used in the production of alcohol sold for human consumption” and is a “toxic alcohol” that is “used industrially as a solvent, pesticide and alternative fuel source.” It reportedly doesn’t have to be consumed orally to be poisonous; methanol can enter the body via the lungs, skin, and eyes as well as be digested through the stomach.

It is still unclear how these 21 teens ingested methanol and if any criminal charges will arise in the future. If so, it is also unknown who will face fault or blame in this tragic case.

Jason Derulo Purchased $3.6M Los Angeles Home For Ex Jena Frumes

Not long after the birth of their first (and only) child together last year, Jason Derulo and Jena Frumes announced that they would be going their separate ways. “[Jena] is an amazing mother but we feel being apart at this time will allow us to be the best versions of ourselves and the best parents we could be,” the vocalist wrote on Twitter at the time.

Hours after her ex shared that post, the model took to her Instagram Story to post a message of her own, sharing a photo of their child, Jason King’s hand, writing, “I promise to give you all the love I never had, you deserve the world baby boy.”

Though not much context was given at the time, the abrupt separation caused some to speculate that the relationship was rocky beforehand, or perhaps there was even some infidelity involved seeing as Frumes had been posting romantic content with her beau in the days leading up to their split.

Earlier this month, the mother of one finally addressed the cheating rumours when responding to a nasty internet troll. “I wouldn’t call myself a whore,” she wrote to them.

“It’s unfortunate my situation didn’t work out because we did once aspire to be married, but maybe it’s [better] to be single than to be in a relationship and constantly disrespected and cheated on and lied to. Or is it better to stay and be quiet so people like you approve?”

Just a few weeks after the gossip began making rounds, Derulo was spotted sitting front row at Miami Swim Week supporting his ex along with their child, and now, a report from TMZ reveals that he bought her a $3.6M home in Los Angeles earlier this year where she can raise little Jason.

The new pad boasts five bedrooms, five and a half baths, a pool with a built-in spa and waterfall features, a soundproof movie theatre, an outdoor farmhouse, and a BBQ area – check out photos here, and tap back in with HNHH later for more pop culture news updates.

We recently reported on a man breaking into Drake’s home—a violation that isn’t the first for the Toronto icon. Kylie Jenner and Ariana Grande have had several issues with people sneaking onto their properties, sometimes with weapons, and we’ve repeatedly reported on rappers and their associates becoming victims of home invasions. Some of those instances have turned deadly.

Yung Bleu is the latest rapper who almost became a victim of theft after he shared surveillance footage showing someone attempting to drive off with his Rolls Royce.

The brief clip doesn’t have any sound, but in the grainy black and white video, viewers can see a figure getting into the vehicle. They then try to execute a three- or four-point turn to get out of the large driveway, however, something seemed to frighten the alleged thief because they abruptly jumped out of the car and made a run for it.

Over on Twitter, Bleu penned a message to people looking to steal from his home.

“I’m not no gangster. But y’all ‘jack boys’ Come try take sum while I’m home , dnt wait till I’m on tour,” Bleu tweeted. “Security might let u live [shrug emoji] but y’all no I’m not . Ask the last n*ggas who tried to take some from me how that went. Y’all ain’t got as much heart as y’all pretend to have.”

Mo’Nique Reveals Upcoming Netflix Comedy Special After Settling Discrimination Suit

Though her spat with D.L. Hughley left some raising their eyebrows at Mo’Nique, the Precious actress is moving onward and upward in her career, announcing today (July 19) that her next comedy special will air exclusively on Netflix.

As if that weren’t big enough, Mo also revealed that she and her former nemesis have finally put the past behind them, and will be working together on an upcoming original film.

“Oh, and in case you didn’t hear, I’m also reuniting with my friend, my brother, director Mr. Lee Daniels on the Netflix film The Deliverance,” she gushed. “You won’t want to miss either of them, so y’all stay tuned. And thank y’all my sweet babies. I love us for real.”

As of right now, the comedy special hasn’t been titled, though Variety reports that it’s set to film in Atlanta later this year.

Word of the multiple Netflix collaborations comes shortly after Mo’Nique and the streamer settled a race and discrimination lawsuit that dates back to November of 2019 when the comedian alleged that Netflix broke the law by lowballing her on a comedy special offer.

The Maryland native claims that she was offered $500K for a special while Amy Schumer’s offer was $11M and Dave Chappelle and Chris Rock both came in even higher at $20M.

Terms of the resolution haven’t been disclosed, though their current working relationship makes it seem as though they at least went well for both parties.

Check back in with HNHH later for any updates on Mo’Nique’s forthcoming Netflix projects.
