Kyrie Irving and the Brooklyn Nets appear to be in quite the pickle. The Nets want to sign Kyrie to a short-term deal, while Kyrie is looking for a long-term extension that would guarantee his future in Brooklyn. Of course, this has a lot of fans worried given Kyrie’s history of walking out on teams that he supposedly had a good rapport with. The fear is that Kyrie will walk, and the rumors continue to get more and more interesting.

For instance, today, it was revealed that Kyrie has a wishlist for any potential trades should he walk away from Brooklyn. The Lakers are at the top of that list, which means a reunion with LeBron James could be imminent. To give credence to these reports, it was recently revealed by NBA insider Marc Stein that sources are saying LeBron and Kyrie are actually in contact with one another right now.

Per Stein:

“There are credible rumblings in circulation that Irving, for starters, has indeed had some recent contact with Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James, his former Cleveland teammate, to presumably discuss a potential reunion in Hollywood. I’m told it would be a stretch, though, to suggest that the Lakers are currently pursuing Irving.”

With LeBron and Kyrie in cahoots, who knows what will happen next? The NBA offseason officially begins on Thursday, June 30th, and we should be in for plenty of action.

Over the past week or so, rumors surrounding Kyrie Irving have been flying from every direction. It all started with the report that Kyrie and the Nets were on completely opposite sides of the negotiating table. Irving wants a long-term deal worth hundreds of millions of dollars, all while the Nets want to keep Irving to a very short deal that is team-friendly.

Now, there have been rumblings that Kyrie could walk away from the Nets and that he would be pursued by the Los Angeles Lakers. Many have found these reports to be completely absurd, however, now they are completely feasible as Adrian Wojnarowski delivered a bombshell report this afternoon.

As you can see in Wojnarowski’s tweet down below, Irving has a long list of teams that he would like to be traded to if a deal with the Nets falls through. That list is quite extensive and it includes the Lakers, Clippers, Knicks, Heat, Mavs, and 76ers. These are all teams with a chance to contend next season, and the Nets should be very worried about their chances of re-signing Irving given the fact that he already has a list like this put together.

Kyrie on the Lakers would be a truly wild development, especially given his past with LeBron James. Either way, the free agency period is about to get exciting, and it will all begin on June 30th.

We received devastating news about Lil Tjay this week. The New York rapper was shot multiple times in New Jersey on Wednesday morning and he had to undergo emergency surgery. Fans have been hoping that he pulls through, and it seems like there’s a chance that he will. However, the road to recovery might be a long one.

The latest update on Tjay comes from TMZ who said that he’s still unconscious following yesterday’s shooting. Though the surgery was successful, sources close to the situation said that he’s not making many bodily movements aside from his legs. The rapper is currently scheduled for a CAT scan.

New Jersey police confirmed that they arrested one man in connection to the shooting. Mohamed Konate was apprehended, though he, too, was admitted into the hospital for gunshot wounds yesterday. Prosecutors said that a video depicts Konate’s body being left on the grounds outside of the hospital. Konate was charged with 3 counts of first-degree attempted murder.

In addition to Konate’s arrest, two of Tjay’s associates have also been arrested in connection to the shooting. Police said they were arrested on charges of second-degree unlawful possession of a firearm.

Tjay was on pace to drop off his latest EP, Strictly4MyFans this summer after releasing “Lavish.” We’ll keep you posted on any more information regarding Tjay.

When Boosie Badazz goes viral, it’s not necessarily for the right reasons. However, that isn’t always the case. This week, the rapper was spotted leaping to the defense of a woman who was being berated by a man. A short clip surfaced online this week that showed Boosie telling a man to back off after two women, who appear to be employees at a hotel, were being scolded by the individual.

“I’m a man. You not going to talk to me like that. I will beat the fuck out you,” Boosie says in the video. “You not gonna talk to her like that. I will beat your ass… You not going to disrespect no woman like that, bro. C’mon, she telling you she’s — everybody saying they’re sorry. You heard both, bruh. She keep telling you she’s sorry. Everybody saying they’re sorry and you’re still messing with her.”

As the brief clip began making its rounds online, Boosie decided to add more context to the clip, claiming that the man was “doing the most.”

“The reason I told that man that because he backed a woman down until she could do nothing .He kept approaching her after she said sorry. Then he said no you go apologize to my wife too ‼️ he was doing the most don’t let the video fool u,” he tweeted.

No word from the individual who was at the receiving end of Boosie’s words but he certainly didn’t look like he was ready for smoke.

Nike announced the permanent suspension of business in Russia in response to the country’s invasion of Ukraine on Thursday morning, marking yet another large company’s full exit from business in the country. This comes after the company announced a temporary suspension of operations within Russia as a sign of protest toward Russian President Vladimir Putin that started three months prior.

“Our priority is to ensure we are fully supporting our employees while we responsibly scale down our operations over the coming months,” Nike said in a statement.

Three months ago, Nike suspended all Nike stores within Russian borders, the first hint at a possible departure from the country for the shoe giant.

Now, the athletic wear brand will join other companies like Starbucks, McDonalds, and Netflix who have suspended all operations inside the country.

Nike posted a message on its official Russian website telling visitors its website and mobile app will “no longer be available in this region” and that its stores “will not reopen.” Nike maintained about 100 stores in the country.

Nike recently reported that its business in both Russia and Ukraine represents less than 1% of its total revenue.

Nike was active on the Russian market for 28 years.

Unfortunately, it seems like he’s having difficulties securing collaborations with bigger MCs in the game.

The rapper hit Twitter this week where he opened up about his collaborative spree in recent times. While he’s proven to be versatile with the ability to weave through different songs, the Atlanta artist said that some of his peers in the game aren’t willing to lock in studio time. 

“None of my rap co workers be tryna rap wit me dawg… Only women and pop stars lol,” he wrote. In a subsequent tweet, he specifically called out the bigger name artists in rap who he believes might be shook to hop on a record with him. “I think y’all n***az scared, I’m talking bigger rap artists.”

tIt’s unclear who he’s had trouble locking in studio time with but we’re hoping that this isn’t delaying the release of The Forever Story. The rapper recently dropped off “29 (Freestyle)” where he said that the project would be dropping “very soon.” No actual timeline on when we could expect it but it seems like it will arrive before the end of the year.
