Drake Has 13 Songs From ‘Honestly, Nevermind’ On The Hot 100 Chart

Drake recently dropped his new album Honestly, Nevermind as a total surprise, giving fans little time to prepare for the 14 new songs. He didn’t expect everyone to understand and enjoy it immediately; after it was released, he said in an Instagram video, “It’s all good if you don’t get it yet. It’s all good.”

But it seems like most people did get it because 13 of the songs climbed their way onto the Billboard Hot 100 chart, which extended his record for most career entries to an unprecedented amount of 263. Honestly, Nevermind is the rapper’s 11th record to reach No. 1 on the charts, making him tied for third with Bruce Springsteen and Barbra Streisand after The Beatles who have 19 and Jay-Z who has 14. Not too bad, especially for an album with no press cycle.

He’s not done reveling in the success of the album, though. On the premiere episode of Table For One, his new radio show on SiriusXM, he discussed his forthcoming plans and projects surrounding the LP: “Me and Kenzo have a book coming out this year. Yeah, we have a book coming out this year, a poetry book. So I hope you guys tune into that, too, because that’s going to be some sh*t.”

Daz Dillinger Retires From Rap: “It’s Not Fun No More”

Another rapper is officially easing his way into retirement. Daz Dillinger is a legend not only in the West Coast Rap scene but in Hip Hop history. Known for his extensive catalog, work on Dr. Dre’s The Chronic and Snoop Dogg’s Doggystyle, being a part of The Dogg Pound with Kurupt, and being a member of Death Row Records, Daz’s talents are etched into an era that has gone down as one of the greatest period’s of Hip Hop.

As all things do, Rap has evolved and shifted into new sounds and spaces, and Daz suggested that while Hip Hop was once about having a good time, that doesn’t seem to be the genre’s focus these days.

On Instagram, Daz Dillinger uploaded an image that reads: “The legend had officially retired since 2022 Not my problem anymore.” He had a few more words to add in the caption.

“IM DONE RAPPIN CUZ ITS OVER FOR ME [fire emoji],” wrote Daz. “IT WAS NICE WHEN IT WAS [fire emoji] BUT ITS NOT FUN NO MORE. SO IMA CALL IT QUITS [100 emoji][thumbs up emoji][red rose emoji] THIS MY LAST POST.” Well, it wasn’t quite his last, because the Rap icon shared some good news with his followers; it seems that Dillinger purchased a new space in Atlanta that will now be the home of the Dogg Pound Sound Stage Studios.

Daz revealed that it is four acres of land and added, “This what retiring is all about.” Congrats on the new venture! Check out Daz Dillinger’s posts below.

Cardi B Reveals Lil Durk & Kanye West Will Be On New Single “Hot Sh*t”

We’re about to receive some new heat from Cardi B and she has jumped online to give a few details about her upcoming single. We’re not sure how long it’s been since Cardi first began teasing her sophomore project, but the chart-topping rapper seems to be preparing her adoring fanbase for something big on the horizon. She recently shared that this Friday (July 1), the world would receive her new track “Hot Sh*t,” and Cardi now details what fans can expect.

“With the promo, I just don’t feel like doing too much this time around,” said Cardi while on Livestream. “Because I’m just exhausted with everybody.”

“I’m so tired of people not doing their f*cking job correctly,” she added. “I’m so tired of people just doing things their way. Just…I’m just over it, you know what I’m saying? I’m over it. I’m gonna put this record [out], if it do good, it do good. I think it’s gonna do good ’cause at the end of the day, the record is amazing. I love the record. It’s something that I feel like you haven’t heard from me before.”

Moments ago, she uploaded cover art for the track that shows Lil Durk and Kanye West will also be making appearances.

Cardi is known for her explicit lyrics and provocative nature in her rhymes and presentation. She said she knows the public is expecting “slutness” and have berated her for “making TikTok records,” but calls this one a “fun, great” song. “It’s masculine, great for the clubs,” said the rapper just before she revealed this single will not arrive with a music video.

Fans Revisit Omarion Singing Original “BedRock” Hook For Young Money

After that last Verzuz, people have been spilling all sorts of information about the artists involved. While Ray J’s memes continue to circulate and Mario is being praised for his talents, B2K drama unfolded in real-time as Omarion went to verbal war with his former groupmates. The contention between members of the hit group has existed for years, but after Omarion suggested they were less than, his former friends detailed why the singer is allegedly no longer legally a part of the group.

From telling the world that Omarion’s vocals on B2K albums may have been supported by another singer to alleging that he had a meltdown because another member slept with a woman he had a crush on, fans have been surprised with just how much Fizz, Raz B, and J-Boog have shared. Yet, it was social media users who recalled O’s time with Young Money.

You will recall that in 2009, Young Money released their smash hit “BedRock” which featured Lil Wayne, Gudda Gudda, Nicki Minaj, Drake, Tyga, Jae Millz, and on the hook, Lloyd. What some don’t know is the original included Omarion, not Lloyd, but there were rumors that O, who was signed to Young Money at the time, leaked the original track. Someone even dug up a tweet from Mack Maine in August 2009 where he confirmed that Omarion was no longer a YM artist and said “the song they leaked ft. Wayne is not official.”

Maine added at the time, “Good luck 2 him in his future endeavors..no further.” This has ignited conversations regarding whether Omarion would have made a good addition to the track over Lloyd, but fans seem to concur that the version that made it to the charts had the perfect lineup.

Omarion would later reportedly say that the Young Money deal didn’t work out due to “business reasons.” You can check out both versions below and let us know what you think.
