Cardi B is one of the biggest artists in hip-hop despite not having released a new song in quite a while. Fans are still waiting for her sophomore album and for now, it looks like they will have to keep waiting a bit longer. Having said that, the artist is still recording new music, and on Friday night, she will be delivering a brand new track called “Hot Shit” which features Kanye West and Lil Durk.

Last night, Cardi took to Instagram and delivered a snippet of the new track. This new offering is going to hit hard and fans can’t wait to hear Kanye and Lil Durk’s contributions. It should also be noted that Cardi is touting this song as a club banger. On her IG story, Cardi made sure to let fans know that this is a track that ventures from what she has dropped in the past.

“It’s something that I feel like y’all haven’t heard from me before,” Cardi explained. “I feel like people is expecting a lot of slutiness and blah blah blah. Y’all keep [saying] I keep making TikTok records and this is definitely not that. It’s a fun great record. It’s masculine [and] it’s great for the clubs. It’s great for the bitches.”

As for Lil Durk, he has high hopes for this new record. The Chicago MC appears to be so confident in the new song that he has declared it as the “Song of the Year.” This declaration was made on Durk’s Instagram story and when you consider the song’s features, he may not be far off in this assessment.

The Weeknd is easily one of the biggest artists in the world, and when he goes on tour, you know he’s going to end up selling out stadiums. As it turns out, Abel is about to embark on a massive stadium tour as of July 8th, and unsurprisingly, this string of shows will begin in his hometown of Toronto, Canada. 

This tour has had to deal with some last-minute changes as Doja Cat had surgery on her throat back in May. Doja was going to be the opener on this tour, but now, she won’t be able to perform for at least the next few months. With that in mind, The Weeknd and his team have been working hard to find replacements.

According to a new report from Variety, Abel’s team has officially revealed that Mike Dean, Kaytranada, and Snoh Aalegra will all be stepping in as openers for this tour. Dean will be a fixture throughout the entire tour which ends on September 2nd in Los Angeles. From there, Kaytranada will get numerous dates starting on July 8th, while Snoh Aalegra makes her first appearance on August 11th in Atlanta.

This tour is certainly going to be a whole lot of fun. Kaytranada is an incredible producer while Snoh is a master in the r&b space. Not to mention, Mike Dean is a legend who can definitely carry a stage show on his own if need by.

Beyoncé is one of the most legendary artists in the pop/r&b space, so it should come as no surprise that fans get ecstatic whenever she releases new music. The artist has always been a pioneer in her field, and with each new project, you can always expect her to change up her sound, all while singing about the hardships that have been going on in her life. Albums like Lemonade are filled with emotional passages, and it’s something fans can’t get enough of.

Recently, Beyoncé dropped “Break My Soul” which was a definite change from what we’re used to. The song had a house music feel to it, and following in the footsteps of Drake’s own foray into dance music, fans were definitely feeling the new style. In addition to dropping a single, Beyoncé revealed that a new album called act i: RENAISSANCE would be dropping on Friday, July 29th.

Today, Beyoncé gave her fans some insight into the creative process for this album. For Beyoncé, this was the perfect way to escape from everything scary that is happening in the world. She wanted to make something that will get people dancing, something that elicits feel-good energy, allowing the listener to immerse themselves– and if “Break My Soul” is any indication of what to expect, then she has certainly achieved her goal.

Per Beyoncé:

“Creating this album allowed me a place to dream and to find escape during a scary time for the world. It allowed me to feel free and adventurous in a time when little else was moving. My intention was to create a safe place, a place without judgment. A place to be free of perfectionism and overthinking. A place to scream, release, feel freedom. It was a beautiful journey of exploration. I hope you find joy in this music. I hope it inspires you to release the wiggle. Ha! And to feel as unique, strong, and sexy as you are.”

In the Instagram post above, the artist can be seen riding a horse in what appears to be bedazzled lingerie, resulting in a striking image. This could very well be the cover art for the album, however, nothing has been confirmed.

Draymond Green’s podcast has gotten him into trouble at times as he speaks with absolutely no filter. He is always talking about the “new media” and he loves to take shots at those who are still in the traditional media game. For instance, he has gone after the likes of Skip Bayless and Stephen A. Smith.

Recently, he offered a scathing rant towards former player Kendrick Perkins, who has been critical of Green in the past. Green went a little overboard in his critique of Perkins, and even called him a “c**n.” This led to a now-deleted Twitter video response from Perkins, who lashed out against the four-time Warriors champion.

In the most recent episode of his podcast, Green admitted that he made a huge mistake by using that word while speaking about Perkins. He apologized for the use of the term, and he even went on to say that he needs to take accountability for these things. He acknowledged he is still new to the media business, and these are teachable moments for him.

“The other day when I was speaking, I used a word that carries a racial connotation and when I used the word, I could have very well replaced the word with clown … idiot, moron. I could have replaced the word with anything and continued in stride,” Green said. “I didn’t think about it in that perspective…I do understand that the word c**n is used in a racial way. However, I also think growing up culturally, things are different…And for me, it’s like, ‘stop acting corny, you’re on some weird-type stuff. That’s wack, you don’t have to do that, that’s wack.’ So for me, in using the word, that’s what I was implying.”

Hopefully, Green and Perkins are able to put this whole thing behind them. You never want to see these kinds of petty squabbles, especially amongst the NBA fraternity.

Miles Bridges of the Charlotte Hornets was detained by authorities in Los Angeles on Wednesday, June 29th in connection with an alleged domestic violence incident. According to TMZ, this incident went down on Tuesday as Bridges reportedly got into an argument with a woman, that eventually turned physical. Bridges was accused of fleeing the scene although he eventually turned himself in. He has since been released on a $130K bond. 

As of today, Bridges is set to become a free agent and this incident certainly puts his future into doubt. The Hornets were prepared to offer Bridges a lot of money, but now, there is no guarantee that such a thing happens.

In fact, the Hornets are aware of the situation, and they have even released a statement on the matter. They have yet to make a clear stance on Bridges’ predicament although they are still in the process of recovering more information.

“The Charlotte Hornets are aware of the situation involving Miles Bridges,” the Hornets wrote. “We are in the process of gathering additional information. We will have no further comment at this time.”
