Johnny Depp’s “Pirates 6” Paycheck Would’ve Been $22.5 Million, According To His Agent

Captain Jack Sparrow may have missed out on a pretty large pile of booty – or that’s what his agent is saying, anyway. The latest update from the Johnny Depp and Amber Heard trial reveals that the actor was reportedly set to take home $22.5 million for appearing in Disney’s Pirates 6, but ultimately wasn’t recast in his leading role.

According to Jack Whigham, who has represented Depp at both Creative Artists Agency and Range Media Partners, filmmakers opted to go “in a different direction” following Heard’s op-ed recounting her alleged experience with domestic abuse went live in the Washington Post.

“After the op-ed, it was impossible to get him a studio film,” Whigham shared in his testimony, describing the impact the December 2018 piece had as “catastrophic.”

Variety reports that Depp is suing his ex for $50 million, claiming that his career was destroyed due to her “false allegations of domestic violence.” Currently, the trial is unfolding in Fairfax, Virginia, and entered its fourth week today. So far, we’ve heard only from the father of two’s legal team; Heard’s side is expected to start offering up their evidence later in the trial.

On Monday (May 2nd), Whigham testified that he began working with Depp in 2016, and saw him stay booked and busy throughout 2017. For “City of Lies” he brought in $8 million, “Murder on the Orient Express” earned him $10 million, and finally, “Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald” was a $13.5 million payday.

2018 saw the Kentucky-born entertainer work on an independent film, “Waiting for the Barbarians,” for which he earned $1 million. Depp was due to bring home $3 million for “Minamata,” although financing allegedly became shaky after Heard’s story came out, resulting in him taking a significant cut; he has not appeared on-screen since then.

“It was a first-person account coming from the victim,” Whigham told the court today. “It became a death-knell catastrophic thing for Mr. Depp in the Hollywood community.”

Pusha T & No Malice’s Clipse Album, “Exclusive Audio Footage,” Added To Streaming Services

Pusha T and No Malice’s long-lost debut album as the duo Clipse, Exclusive Audio Footage, has been released on streaming services. The project was originally recorded between 1997 and 1999; however, after the commercial failure of its lead single, “The Funeral,” Elektra Records shelved the album.

In the years since Clipse’s rise to stardom, Exclusive Audio Footage has gained mythical status in the duo’s discography with leaked copies appearing online as well as counterfeit vinyl pressings and other bootleg editions surfacing.

The newly released version is produced by The Neptunes and features guest work from Kelis, N.O.R.E., Kurupt, and more.

The release of the long-lost album has fans hopeful for new music from Clipse, who haven’t released a full-length album together since 2009’s Til the Casket Drops. In recent months Pusha T and No Malice have collaborated together for a song on NIGO’s album, I know NIGO!, as well as the closing track on Pusha T’s new project, It’s Almost Dry.

Speaking with Gray Rizzy at SiriusXM recently, Pusha expressed his hopefulness that he and No Malice will be able to put out another album.

“I’m pushing for a Clipse album, I want it to happen, you know it’s up to him, but I am very confident,” Pusha said at the time. “I didn’t know we always could do one. I’m very confident we can do a Clipse album.”

Air Jordan 9 “Particle Grey” Release Date Revealed

One of the more overlooked Jumpman silhouettes is the Air Jordan 9. This is a model that Michael Jordan never actually played basketball in, so some fans tend to underrate it. Despite, this Jordan Brand has consistently dropped new offerings over the last few years, and in 2022, they are looking to release even more. In fact, one of those models is called “Particle Grey,” and it can be found below.

The shoe has a very basic color scheme to it as the top half of the shoe has a mostly black aesthetic. From there on out, the shoe takes on a grey look thanks to the mudguard and back heel. These elements look great together and while the colors might be basic to some, it is clear that these are still pretty great on the whole.

If you are looking to cop this brand new Air Jordan 9, it is being reported that you will be able to do so as of June 20th for a price of $200 USD. Stay tuned to HNHH as we will be sure to bring you even more news and updates from around the sneaker world. In the meantime, let us know what you think of these, in the comments below.

“Don’t Worry Darling” Trailer Stars Florence Pugh & Harry Styles In A ’50s Psychological Thriller

Don’t Worry Darling, Olivia Wilde’s new movie will be here before you know it! If you’re a fan of psychological thrillers, you’ll be pleased to know that the first trailer for the film arrived earlier today (May 2nd) and takes us back in time to the ’50s.

As Complex reports, the Midsommar starlet has taken on the lead role of Alice, a housewife living in what’s been described as an “experimental community” where she spends her days doing tasks like laundry, cooking, and cleaning while her husband – played by Styles – heads off with his colleagues to his mysterious day job.

The nearly three-minute-long preview is “filled with the type of Cold War paranoia that was rife in post-WWII America,” and it seems that the former boyband member will be taking on a darker role than we’ve seen him portray in past projects like Dunkirk and Eternals.

Other famous faces who appear in Don’t Worry Darling include Chris Pine, Gemma Chan, KiKi Layne, Nick Kroll, Timothy Simons, Sydney Chandler, and even the director herself in a supporting role. The project will be Wilde’s second behind the camera – her debut was 2019’s fun-loving coming-of-age picture Booksmart, starring Beanie Feldstein and Kaitlyn Dever.

“I want you to imagine a life where you have everything you could want,” the filmmaker shared while presenting the trailer at CinemaCon last week. “Not just material, tangible things… like a beautiful house, perfect weather and gorgeous cars. But also the things that really matter, like true love or the perfect partner or real trusted friendships and a purpose that feels meaningful.”

“What would it take for you to give up that life, that perfect life. What are you really willing to sacrifice to do what’s right? Are you willing to dismantle the system that’s designed to serve you?”

Elsewhere at CinemaCon, Wilde was served custody papers while on stage in what was reportedly a scheme set up by her ex Jason Sudeikis’ lawyers – read more about that here, and check out the trailer for Don’t Worry Darling, arriving in theatres on September 23rd, above.
