OJ Da Juiceman Arrested On Drug & Firearm Charges: Report

We haven’t heard much from OJ Da Juiceman lately, but a local news station in Kentucky shared that the rapper ended up on the wrong side of the law. The East Atlanta icon rose to fame in the early 2000s alongside his longtime friend Gucci Mane, and the pair repeatedly collaborated and partnered on singles together. These days, the Juiceman is said to operating his own independent record label, 32 Entertainment.

However, OJ Da Juiceman, real name Otis Williams Jr., was highlighted by Lex 18 News this morning (May 4) and it wasn’t because of his rap career. According to the outlet, he was arrested.

Details surrounding this arrest remain unclear and the news station didn’t share much about the case including when it all went down. Yet, they did state that the 40-year-old artist “was charged with possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.” He was reportedly “booked in the Hardin County Detention Center.”

Things can’t be going too bad for the rapper because on his Instagram Story this evening (May 4), he was seen in a video promoting his Mother’s Day show this weekend. He promised to perform all of his greatest hits and encouraged his fans and followers to make their way to the event. Meanwhile, OJ Da Juiceman is reportedly set to return to court next week on May 13.

Rapsody Highlights The Stellar Women In Sports On ‘Dust To Diamonds’ With Faouzia

This year marks the 50th anniversary of the passing of Title IX. According to the Department Of Education, it declared that “no person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance.” This declaration helped to push female sports in motion all across the country, and while there’s still work to be done to build female sports programs and leagues up to a more equal status with their male counterparts, many are still taking the opportunity to celebrate the half-century mark of Title IX.

That includes Rapsody who partnered up with ESPN’s Fifty/50 Initiative to release her new song “Dust To Diamonds” with Faouzia. The track debuted live at the espnW Summit in New York City, and on it, Rapsody takes a moment to shout out and praise some of the best athletes in women’s sports. Serena Williams, Diana Taurasi, Florence Griffith Joyner, and more all receive some love through verses on the song while Faouzia holds down the hook as she helps to also uplift the women in various sports. “This track was created to honor some of the greatest women in sports, but also acknowledge the struggles they faced to succeed,” Rapsody said about the new record according to Complex.

“Dust to Diamonds” will also appear in ESPN’s upcoming film 37 Words, which is directed by Dawn Porter and Nicole Newnham. The film is set to arrive next month in June.

You can listen to Rapsody’s new song in the video above.

Faouzia is a Warner Music artist. Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group

Joseline Hernandez Previews New Track & Her Fans Were Not Kind

The show must continue for Joseline Hernandez as she faces a hefty lawsuit. The Joseline’s Cabaret creator is facing a massive $25 million suit from several ladies who starred in the series after a fight broke out during the taping of the reunion special. The immediate reaction to the fracas occurred on social media when the show’s stars claimed that Hernandez and her fiancé Balistic Beats were beating up people on set.

Hernandez initially seemed to cop to the attack as she berated cast members online, but once the backlash settled in and there were rumors of Joseline’s Cabaret being canceled, she and Balistic issued a more respectable statement.

Prior to building her empire, Joseline was a featured cast member on Love & Hip Hop Atlanta where the world was introduced to her as one of Stevie J’s artists. The pair would later go on to have a child together, but the romance did not last. Still, Joseline has continued on with her musical aspirations and has even released a few songs that would become viral hits on social media.

She returns once again with a new track or at least a preview, and to say that the public has issued a visceral response is an understatement. We’re not sure when Joseline has planned on releasing this one, but in the caption, she added its inspiration: “When that trick talking to y’all bout his ho
Tell him #everynightoftheweek.”

We’ll let you check out the track for yourself below.

“Is it a song that you want to hear at any moment, in all moods,” Harlow said. “Or is it meant for just one mood — for the club or before you work out? Dave Chappelle Attacker Isaiah Lee Released A Song About Comedian Back In 2020

As we’re sure Isaiah Lee is being treated for his severe injuries, more is being learned about Dave Chappelle’s attacker. The 23-year-old stormed the Hollywood Bowl stage during Chappelle’s set as the comedian was appearing at the Netflix Is A Joke Festival. The moment was captured on video and quickly went viral in the early morning hours (May 4), and thankfully, no one was injured. Lee was said to have been carrying a weapon, a knife, at the time, and judging by the photo of him handcuffed to a gurney, he was taken down backstage with a vengeance.

“The performances by Chappelle at the Hollywood Bowl were epic and record-breaking and he refuses to allow last night’s incident to overshadow the magic of this historic moment,” Chappelle’s spokesperson reportedly stated.

Meanwhile, the internet has been sharing more information about Lee. While he has not spoken about his motives just yet, Lee reportedly released a song targeting Chappelle—one named, well, “Dave Chappell.” Lee is said to have gone by the moniker “NoName_Trapper” and by now, his Instagram page has been wiped clean.

Prior to the attack on Chappelle, TMZ claims that Lee shared a brief video of himself with a filter that gave him devilish horns and a bloody nose. Lee has been charged with assault with a deadly weapon. We’ll keep you updated as more information unfolds, but in the meantime, check out Isaiah Lee below.

Supa Peach Rants About Old Beef With Latto: “She Not The Only B*tch I Dont Beat DF Up”

It has been six years since The Rap Game first aired on Lifetime, but somehow, Instagram users are being reminded of the show’s teen beefs. In the first season, the world was introduced to Miss Mulatto, a 16-year-old rapper from Georgia who would go on to win the series. This young artist, of course, changed her name to Latto and now, she’s an international superstar who continues to climb up the Rap charts.

Another contestant alongside Latto on The Rap Game was Supa Peach, and the ladies didn’t always see eye to eye. On Supa Peach’s TikTok, someone commented, “Didn’t Latto end [your] career,” and the rapper issued a video reply where she claimed things came to blows.

“It was six years ago, y’all keep bringing the old drama,” she said. “I want y’all to know that please, she’s not the only girl that I done beefed with, she ain’t the only girl that I done put an ass whoopin’ on… Just let it go. Please. We done let it go, so why y’all can’t let it go. It’s so annoying. And another thing, y’all always saying that I’m mad that I didn’t get signed…we all got the same contract. It’s just a TV fake show… Jermaine Dupri gave us all the same contract. I didn’t want to sign and she didn’t even want to sign.”

After the clip was reposted on Instagram, Supa PEach returned to double down on her comments about fighting Latto.

“LIKE I SAID , SHE NOT THE ONLY B*TCH … I DONE BEAT DF UP [double red exclamation point emojis] ION THROW SHADE , I SPEAK FACTS !!!!!!! SO WHEN I SPEAK , stop saying it’s about her … YALL ALWAYS TRYNA MAKE SOME NEGATIVE, if anything this growth for me [three 100 emojis] ! #RealSh*t.”

“WE IN TWO DIFFERENT LANES , DF I LOOK LIKE WORRIED ? I DON’T EVEN MAKE THE SAME TYPE OF MUSIC …AS HER …WEIRDOS [face palm emoji].” But wait, there’s more. Check it out below.
