Jack Harlow Drops ‘First Class’ Trailer Starring Anitta

Are you ready?

Ahead of his album release tonight, Jack Harlow is sharing a sneak peek at the video for his chart-topping hit “First Class.” In the trailer, Jack lives the glamorous life while showing off his dance moves. Anitta also makes a surprise appearance as his leading lady.

“I guess @jackharlow is putting me at First Class this Friday,” said the Brazilian bombshell.

“First Class,” which samples Fergie’s “Glamorous,” became Jack’s first solo No. 1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100.

The full video drops tonight along with his sophomore album Come Home the Kids Miss You, which features Lil Wayne, Drake, Justin Timberlake, and Pharrell.

“One thing I’ve wanted to grow out of is stop making records for people to marvel at me and more for us to enjoy together,” he told Hot 97. “We put a lot of care into this album. I’ve never put so much of myself into something. These beats I’m rapping on are beats I’ve wanted to rap on my whole life. We have a formula and it’s really special.”

DaBaby Avoids Charges For Shooting A Man Who Invaded His North Carolina Home

DaBaby has been facing a litany of legal troubles in the past few months (or years), but there’s at least one incident he won’t have to worry about. According to TMZ, the Charlotte rapper won’t be charged after shooting an intruder at his North Carolina home this past April. The initial report said that a 911 call was made to report a non-fatal shooting at DaBaby’s home in Iredell County. It was later revealed that it was DaBaby himself who pulled the trigger, hitting the intruder — who had scaled the fence and who DaBaby confronted on the property’s football field — in the leg.

The rapper claimed self-defense and District Attorney investigators agreed with him. The story was similar to another incident that took place in 2018, shortly before DaBaby gained national attention with his music video for “Walker Texas Ranger.” DaBaby had shot a man during a confrontation in a Walmart when the other man reached for a gun in his waistband. However, despite DaBaby avoiding charges — again due to reason of self-defense — a video of the incident was recently resurfaced, casting doubt on his recollection since it looked like he was the aggressor in the initial fight. However, both DaBaby and his lawyers maintain that the footage proves that he only pulled his own gun when it looked like the man he was fighting was about to do the same.

Still, he’s got plenty of other legal issues on his plate. He’s been charged with felony battery over an incident in 2021 in which DaBaby and his crew attacked a man whose property they used to shoot a music video. The property owner previously sued DaBaby, but a police investigation led to criminal charges. DaBaby also maintained that he was justified in that situation as well, posting a video of the man using racial slurs. However, in that case, the rapper’s defense may be a bit more flimsy.

42 Dugg Was Arrested After Failing To Surrender Himself For Firearm Possession

42 Dugg is one of rap’s fastest-rising stars, but he may see his momentum stall for the next few months — or even years — after being arrested today. The 27-year-old was recently convicted of illegally possessing a firearm (a crime for a convicted felon) and was supposed to report for a six-month sentence last month. Instead, he could have that sentence extended to five years for absconding on his original punishment, according to Detroit News.

Due to a prior conviction on carjacking and felony firearms possession, Dugg’s recent trip to a firing range in Atlanta — where he was seen loading and shooting a Glock 9mm — automatically triggered prison time. Police and federal agents were waiting for him when he got off a private plane from Memphis to Detroit this afternoon.

Incidentally, this isn’t even the first time the “We Paid” rapper was arrested for avoiding the authorities. In August 2020, he was arrested for fleeing a police officer after evading police for two months when he ran a stop sign. He was fitted with an ankle monitor and could be sent to prison for five years on that charge as well. This followed a March 2020 arrest for firearms possession, for which he narrowly avoided prison due to COVID-19.

The timing for his knuckledheadedry catching up to him couldn’t be worse; he just released his joint album with EST Gee last month, accelerating his success and giving him that much further to fall.

Lil Durk Predicts Jack Harlow’s First Week Sales

Jack Harlow is going to have a big night as in just a few hours, he will be dropping his brand new album Come Home The Kids Miss You. This is a project that fans have been waiting patiently for, and with the single “First Class” hitting the top of the charts last week, there is no doubt that there is a lot of anticipation for whatever Harlow is about to release.

Over the last few years especially, first week sales numbers have become a huge talking point in terms of the success of a given project. In hip-hop, these numbers are more meaningful than ever before as artists want to make a good impression, all while showing their peers that they are bigger than the rest.

With Harlow’s album dropping soon, many are starting to contemplate what Harlow will sell in his first week. He is bigger than ever right now, and he has managed to attract a more mainstream pop audience. With that being said, six digits are almost guaranteed for his new record.

Lil Durk seems to agree with that assessment as he recently took to Twitter with his prediction for the album. As you will see, he has big aspirations for his friend. “Told jack harlow couple days ago he gone do 200k first week,” Durk wrote.

Durk knows a thing or two about impressive sales numbers as 7220 did 120k units in its first week. Harlow already has two massive songs, which means there is no doubt he is about to have an impressive showing.

Lil Wayne Declares Missy Elliott the Best Rapper

Lil Wayne is once again giving Missy Elliott her flowers.

Tunechi was asked to name his top 5 rappers and he didn’t hesitate to put the “Get Ur Freak On” innovator at the top of the list.

“For me, it’s always going to be first Missy Elliott,” Wayne told FOX Sports’ “What’s Wright” podcast. “She’s a huge influence of everything I’ve ever done.”

This is not the first time Wayne has shown love to Missy. He previously credited the Walk of Fame icon as one of his biggest influences who inspired his early songs including “Block Burner” and “Tha Block Is Hot.”

A humbled Missy reacted to the praise. “Whenever @LilTunechi says my name in his interviews twitter don’t have enough space for me to say my GRATEFULNESS because he is a LEGEND himself who birthed many emcees after him & as a man to acknowledge me as a big influence 4 him I send you love WAYNE,” she tweeted.

Wayne also revealed the rest of his top 5, which includes JAY-Z (“The best to ever even speak”) and the Notorious B.I.G., plus hip-hop supergroups Goodie Mob and UGK.

While some have called him the GOAT, Weezy doesn’t consider himself a top 5 rapper. “I can’t touch them guys,” Wayne said when asked why he didn’t put himself on the list. “I would never put myself in my list.”

Wayne can be heard on “Poison” off Jack Harlow’s new album Come Home the Kids Miss You, which drops tonight.
