LeBron James Watches His Youngest Son Bryce Dunk For The First Time

LeBron James had a proud moment this week after witnessing his youngest son, 14-year-old Bryce, dunk for the first time during warmups for Sierra Canyon High School.

After he was cleared to compete following multiple negative COVID-19 tests, LeBron James attended Sierra Canyon’s game on Thursday night, where he watched his youngest son rattle the rim for the very first time. During warmups, freshman Bryce James got enough height to land his first-ever slam dunk, which got him (and everybody else on the court) hyped up. Immediately after the feat, Bryce dapped up some of his teammates and looked over at his father to make sure he had caught the moment. Judging from his excited yells, LeBron definitely saw his son reach the rim.

“Ayyyyeeeeeee!!!!!” exclaimed the Los Angeles Lakers star.

Bryce took off on both feet and dunked the ball home with one hand. Considering the fact that he’s only 14-years-old, this has to be the first of many slams for young Bryce.

This comes following LeBron’s confusing week after entering the NBA’s COVID-19 health and safety protocol. He expressed that he thought something was “fishy” after being restricted from playing but after testing negative a few times, he was allowed to get back on the court.

Watch the proud moment for LeBron and Bryce below, and let us know what you think of Bryce’s first dunk ever.

“Yeah, boy!” he remarked. “There is a lot of unreleased music around here, man.”

As for whether Big Boi and André will ever release new music together, he answered: “You would have to talk to the Lord Jesus. Only he knows.”

Brent Faiyaz Isn’t Convinced On His Brutally Honest New Single “MERCEDES”

Two weeks ago, Brent Faiyaz posted a grainy picture to his Instagram alongside the caption “WASTELAND12.03.21,” leading his fans to believe that the elusive Maryland singer would be delivering an album this Friday. Yet with the arrival of New Music Friday, his supporters quickly noticed that there is no trace of a new project from Faiyaz, let alone anything titled “Wasteland,” but the Fuck The World artist did end up releasing a new single titled “MERCEDES.”

A cautionary tale of sorts, “MERCEDES” finds Brent Faiyaz imploring women to think twice before pursuing a romance with him, as the superficial benefits that may come with it are drastically outweighed by the drama that will undoubtedly plague their relationship. Check out the visualizer for Brent Faiyaz’s brutally honest new single, and then let us know in the comments if you’re feeling “MERCEDES.”

Quotable Lyrics

You don’t really wanna be my lady (you don’t, you don’t)
You know it’s more than just driving Mercedes (more than mercedes)
These hoes gon call & drive you crazy (they gon drive you crazy)
They just tryna fuck & have my baby
My block too hot to have a lady (my block too hot)
All these detectives stay investigating (investigating)
Play it smart no hesitating (no hesitation)
If they can’t get to me they’ll try my baby

Doja Cat Struts Her Femininity In The Aesthetically Striking ‘Woman’ Video

Doja Cat’s Planet Her is one of 2021’s biggest albums and it all starts with the opener, “Woman.” The song quickly became one of the album’s favorites and now, Doja had gone ahead and made a video for it.

The Teyana Taylor-featuring video sees Doja flaunting her femininity on Planet Her as she dances to the Afrobeats track. At one point, she borrows a page out of the “WAP” playbook by dancing in a shallow pool of water. Overall, the clip is full of striking environments and costumes, making for an aesthetic visual to accompany the rhythmic song.

As for the song (which she co-wrote with Jidenna), it sees Doja offering praise of the fairer sex, as she kicks off the opening verse, “What you need? / She give tenfold, come here, papa, plant your seed / She can grow it from her womb, a family / Provide lovin’ overlooked and unappreciated, you see.” She later stands up for the roadblocks that women face: “Gotta face a lot of people of the opposite / ‘Cause the world told me, ‘We ain’t got the common sense’ / Gotta prove it to myself that I’m on top of sh*t / And you will never know a god without the goddesses.”

Lil Peep’s Star Potential On Display On Posthumous EP With Harry Fraud “High Fashion”

Harry Fraud has a way about him, always managing to get the best out of the artists he works with. The storied producer has officially released his collaborative EP with the late Lil Peep, showing the emo rapper’s versatility over jazzy beats.

The project was announced a couple of days ago as Lil Peep and Harry Fraud’s text messages from early 2017 were posted to Peep’s Instagram account, showing how excited they both were over the new music. It has taken a while for the songs to surface but they have been released posthumously as the HIGH FASHION EP.

“Gus met Harry when he was home in New York for Christmas in December 2016 / January 2017,” explains the caption on Peep’s page. “Gus was going to fly back to Los Angeles a couple of days after New Year’s Eve, but he got word that Harry wanted to get into the studio with him, so he decided to stay. He was incredibly excited and honored to be able to work with the producer that he admired so much. The sound of the two songs that they made together over two nights in the studio (Choose & Living Rooms) are very unique. No other songs of his have the same vibe, the same feeling. Gus and Harry had planned to call their project HIGH FASHION. The third song, ‘Old Me,’ is a song Gus originally wrote in 2015 that Harry had an impassioned interest in working on and reproducing. I can tell you with 100% certainty that Gus would be proud and honored that Harry had brought ‘Old Me’ to life for us all to enjoy.”

Listen to the new EP below and let us know what you think. Long Live Lil Peep.

Marilyn Manson Dropped From Best Rap Song Grammy Nomination For Kanye West’s “Jail”

Marilyn Manson has been stripped of a 2022 Grammy nomination by the Recording Academy after not being listed as a songwriter for Kanye West’s “Jail” on the most updated version of Donda. The track is up for the award of Best Rap Song.

The Academy notes that the decision was not made in response to backlash from Manson’s allegations of physical abuse and trafficking leveled by actresses Esmé Bianco and Evan Rachel Wood. Manson could still take home a Grammy for his contributions to the Donda track “Jail Pt. 2,” as the project as a whole is nominated for Album of the Year.

In response to the backlash of Manson’s nomination, Academy CEO Harvey Mason Jr. said that the artist’s disturbing past does not disqualify him from consideration.

“We won’t restrict the people who can submit their material for consideration,” he said in a statement according to The Wrap. “We won’t look back at people’s history, we won’t look at their criminal record, we won’t look at anything other than the legality within our rules of, is this recording for this work eligible based on date and other criteria. If it is, they can submit for consideration.”

He continued: “What we will control is our stages, our shows, our events, our red carpets. We’ll take a look at anyone who is asking to be a part of that, asking to be in attendance, and we’ll make our decisions at that point. But we’re not going to be in the business of restricting people from submitting their work for our voters to decide on.”

YoungBoy Never Broke Again Gets Personal On New Songs “Heart & Soul” & “Alligator Walk”

The two new songs from YoungBoy Never Broke Again, which were uploaded to his YouTube account on Thursday night, show the polar extremes that the 22-year-old rap superstar operates on. On “Heart & Soul,” the Baton Rouge native opens up about his return from a six-month stint in jail, telling himself that he needs to smarten up so he can be there for all of his kids. On “Alligator Walk,” he gets his fans hyped up with a booming record that sounds prepped for the club.

Proving his versatility once again, YoungBoy’s double release starts off with a video filmed inside of his Utah home as he remains on house arrest, and you can hear the pain in his voice as he sings about blaming himself for all of the obstacles he had to overcome this year. “Alligator Walk” will have you feeling a whole other set of emotions, coming in with fire as YoungBoy marks his return on this one, impacting the streets and the clubs with a harder vibe.

Listen to his two new records below, and stay tuned for the rapper’s upcoming joint project with Birdman dropping soon.

Quotable Lyrics:

Went to jail, came home, time passed, went back again
All the pain I felt inside myself, thought it would never end
I just thought I would blame myself, can’t even blame my friends
I was criticizing myself like you ain’t never gon’ win
Kentrell, you got to man up, you done had all these kids
I’m like, Kentrell you got to stand up, it’s your time, I see it

50 Cent Posts & Deletes Apology To Madonna For Trolling Her Scandalous Thirst Trap

If you follow 50 Cent on Instagram, you know that the rapper has no trouble using the platform to speak his mind, even if some of his comments get him in trouble from time to time. Most recently, Fif is facing some heat following the comments he made about “Like A Virgin” singer Madonna’s unmissable thirst traps.

The 63-year-old dropped off the carousel of sultry snapshots on November 25th, revealing in the caption that the app had initially deleted them due to a small part of her nipple being exposed. “It is still astounding to me that we live in a culture that allows every inch of a woman’s body to be shown except a nipple,” she wrote beneath the edited re-post.

While many of the pictures show Madonna laying around wearing black lingerie, one of them gave followers an up close and personal look at her behind, scantily clad and poking out from beneath the bed. The “I Get Money” recording artist shared the photo in question to his own page, writing, “Yo this is the funniest shit LOL.”

“That’s Madonna under the bed trying to do ‘Like A Virgin’ at 63. She shot out, if she don’t get her old ass up. LMFAO,” he continued. A few days later, the “Material Girl” clapped back at 50, calling him out for his hateful comments. “I guess your new career is getting attention by trying to humiliate others on social media. The least elevated choice you could make as an artist and an adult.”

Following Madonna’s response, the New York-born star logged back into IG to share his thoughts. “I must have hurt Madonna’s feelings,” he told his followers on December 2nd. “She went and dug up a old MTV, TRL photo from ‘03. Ok I’m sorry I did not intend to hurt your feelings. I don’t benefit from this in [any way], I said what I thought when I saw the picture because of where I had seen it before. I hope you accept my apology.”

The rapper’s Instagram shows that the apology post has since been taken down, but not before The Shade Room grabbed some screenshots. Check them out below.

Quotable Lyrics

V for vector, F for file
If you rearrange file, what that give you? Yeah, wow
Wish I could give you that now
All on the side of you soul/sole in your signature handstyle
Virgil forever, we visit the man child
A tailor sits down to make his own suit from the tie to his boots
The thread is breath and the fabric is the youth
Make his own ties they only made us a noose
On black, yeah
The cuff is all of us and the buttons are the truth
Even his caps are the facts
My nigga, can you believe that?
