Cordae uploaded side by side, before and after photos of himself. It is unclear when each of these pictures was taken, but the rapper explained that he has been on a path of overall personal growth.

“While creating this forthcoming album, I was forced to elevate myself in mind, body, and spirit,” wrote Cordae. “I’ve become more self-reflective and self aware than ever. Akademiks Tells Freddie Gibbs: “Stop Tweeting. Start Spinning. B*tch'”

It looks like Akademiks and Freddie Gibbs have no intention of squashing their beef in the near future. Over the weekend, the two rehashed their issues with one another which led Freddie Gibbs to continue cracking jokes at Akademiks’ expense on Instagram and Twitter.

Akademiks was clearly not going to allow this to slide without defending himself in some capacity. Ak responded during his live stream where he brought up the Brooklyn shooting where two of Gibbs associates were hit. “N***as bust at you in Brooklyn. Nothing happened,” Akademiks said before citing the interview with 6ix9ine who revealed who the shooter was. “You talkin’ this gangsta shit. Where’s the get back?”

Freddie Gibbs literally a internet gangsta who get online trolling for jokes and retweets and talking like he a steppa. Well @FreddieGibbs u n everybody say I’m a bitch. It’s on u to make a example of me. But please for the love of God.. STOP TWEETING. Start Spinning,” Akademiks tweeted. Gibbs kept his response short, writing, “N***a shut yo pussy ass up before I spin U.”

Akademiks continued to invite Freddie Gibbs to “spin” but then shared an article from Rolling Stone about the shooting. Akademiks brought up the fact that Freddie Gibbs’ father worked in law enforcement before alleging that Gibbs also gave a police statement after he was shot at. “When police showed Gibbs photos of the shooter and another man seen with him, the rapper said he didn’t recognize either suspect. No arrests have been made,” the article reads. No explicit mention of a police statement was made in the article.

Gibbs didn’t retaliate with as many characters on Twitter. Instead, he let off a few tweets reminding Ak’ of the time he was suspended from Complex for reckless statements made on social media. “I love when this bitch talk about me @Akademiks because he said I was irrelevant,” he tweeted. “Last time U lost your job don’t lose your life trying to make a point that u can’t prove.”

Cardi B Clarifies Her Comments About Lean And Weed Making Hip-Hop Repetitive

Cardi B has stirred up a bit of controversy with her recent comments about hip-hop. During an Instagram Live conversation, the rapper confidently declared that her music is what “n****s is missing in the club.” She added, “Cause when I go to the club, that’s what n****s wanna hear. I feel like we keep hearing the same song over and over and over again.” She also explained how she believed weed consumption by some of her fellow rappers negatively affected the overall landscape of hip-hop.

“These rappers nowadays, all of them wanna die,” she said. “They all wanna die. All these n****s need to stop doing lean and smoking weed. You know, this the thing about these rappers, right? They get money and they start buying too much muthafu**in’ weed, and too much lean and they make that slow sh*t.”

Cardi later returned to Twitter to clarify her comments.

“I just want a balance sorry if I worded things wrong,” she wrote. “I just love music that drop hard and turn the club up like dreams & nightmare & First day out by tee grizzly. A perfect balance of rap and turn up.”

Meanwhile, Cardi is preparing to perform at the upcoming 2021 AMAs as well as guest appear on Summer Walker’s upcoming album, Still Over It.

Cardi B is a Warner Music artist. Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group.

Cardi B, City Girls, Latto Lead Halle Berry’s “Bruised” Soundtrack

Halloween weekend had plenty of Catwoman cosplay dominating the ‘Gram but none for visible than Saweetie. The Bay Area woman paid homage to Halle Berry’s Catwoman with a hilarious video that included Berry herself. In the background, though, Saweetie previewed some new music that was quickly overlooked due to Halle Berry’s cameo. However, it was a subtle teaser for the soundtrack of Halle Berry’s new film, Bruised.

Per Variety, Halle Berry tapped in with rap’s leading ladies the soundtrack of her forthcoming Netflix film. The soundtrack will be released through Warner Records and include Saweetie, along with Cardi B, an executive producer on the film, Latto, and City Girls. “I can’t wait to show it,” Berry told Variety. “I have to tell you, one of the things I’m most excited about is the title song that H.E.R. sang… and she killed it. So I can’t wait to share with everyone and am super excited.”

City Girls’ “Scared” and H.E.R.’s “Automatic Woman” are described as being prominent in the film. City Girls’ contribution to the soundtrack will serve as the lead single and drop on Friday, Nov. 5th.

“SURPRISE! Can’t wait for the world to finally experience my dream come true – the first all female Hip-hop project, the music of Bruised,” Berry captioned a post on IG.

Kim Kardashian & Pete Davidson’s Rumoured Relationship Has Turned Twitter Upside Down

There’s no denying that world has seen some interesting celebrity couples have their 15 minutes of fame over the years. The most recent stars to do so are Kim Kardashian West and Pete Davidson, who were seen holding hands on a rollercoaster at Knott’s Scary Farm in California this past weekend.

Once the photos were leaked to the media, it didn’t take long for them to begin making rounds on social media, where fans were shocked (to say the least) to see KKW spending time with the comedian. The two starred opposite one another during a recent episode of Saturday Night Live, when Kim made her hosting debut, and even shared a kiss during a skit.

In the past, Davidson has been linked to hot, high-profile women like Ariana Grande, Kate Beckinsale, Kaia Gerber, and Margaret Qualley, so finding out that he and the mother of four are in the midst of a fling wouldn’t be entirely surprising, especially now that she and Ye have seemingly gone their separate ways.

Several Twitter users have shared their opinion on the matter, taking the time to crack jokes about the New Yorker making his rounds amongst Hollywood’s elite.

“Pete Davidson spotted holding hands with Kim Kardashian,” one person wrote above a clip of Snoop Dogg saying, “this motherf*cker don’t miss.” Someone else joked, “The possibility of Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson being together…We’re really living in unprecedented times.”

Earlier this week, KKW arrived in New York, where Davidson spends most of his time, only further fuelling the rumour mill. The SKIMS founder was honoured at the Museum of Modern Art with WSJ Magazine’s Brand Innovator of the Year award, but it’s been said that’ll be in the city for at least a few more days, so who knows what else she’ll get up to.
