Brittany Renner “Happy” She Did Interview With Akademiks , Announces Book

The explosive interview between Brittany Renner and DJ Akademiks was filled with notable moments. Renner has long stood accused of grooming or trapping Charlotte Hornets star PJ Washington, and she has fiercely defended herself. There have been allegations that a now-29-year-old Renner began dating Washington years ago when he was an 18 or 19-year-old college student, and earlier this year, the pair welcomed a child together.

It was been widely reported that the two have since split, and once again, Renner is tackling hard questions from the public. Her appearance on Akademiks’s Off The Record podcast has caused a stir and Renner took to her Instagram to share a few lessons, as well as an update.

Renner uploaded a clip from her sit-down with Akademiks and added:

Few things here:
1.) You learn more when you LISTEN
2.) Often times the people we love try to make us feel small in hopes that we’ll never discover our power
3.) Changing for anyone is only prolonging you meeting the right person who will accept you for you
4.) What would YOUR life be like if people actually knew the whole truth about YOU?
5.) My patience is unmatched
6.) I am so happy I did this interview with @iamakademiks for @offtherecordclips on @spotify because it truly sheds light on a mentality a lot of men have and it’s helpful to know what we as women are up against

She also announced that she has another book in the works, in addition to her own podcast. Back in 2018, she released Judge This Cover, a book where she detailed her life and experiences. Check out her post below.

Kanye West Hit With Backlash Over Marilyn Manson At Sunday Service

The surprise Sunday Service that kicked off on Halloween this past weekend continues to be a topic of debate. Kanye West’s Sunday Services were once all the rage, but there seems to have been a bit of a lull in recent months as the rapper prepared for the epic rollout of Donda. On Halloween, West was joined by Justin Bieber and Marilyn Manson as they were all photographed together in prayer, and the shock-rocker’s inclusion in Ye’s recent dealings have confused the public.

Previously, Manson made an appearance with West and DaBaby at Donda‘s Chicago listening event. That came amid the ongoing allegations of sexual assault, battery, and rape that Manson is facing from several accusers, including Game of Thrones actress Esmé Bianco.

Others who have accused the rocker of abuse have been his ex-girlfriend andWestworld actress Evan Rachel Wood in addition to his former assistant. Manson has vehemently denied the claims but his appearances with West have caused the public to question Kanye’s intentions, as well as Manson’s.

The debates have spurned op-ed think-pieces, TikTok video series’, and back and forth spats between social media users across all platforms. We’ve collected a few reactions regarding the backlash below. West, meanwhile, has not addressed his critics.

Tory Lanez’s Felony Assault Case Against Megan Thee Stallion Receives A Preliminary Hearing Date

More than a year after Tory Lanez allegedly shot Megan Thee Stallion in the foot, a hearing date for the case has been set. The rapper currently faces two felony assault charges: assault with a semi-automatic firearm and carrying a loaded and unregistered firearm in his vehicle. According to Rolling Stone, a preliminary hearing for the case will occur next month on December 14. Tory will not take a plea deal, as previous reports suggested he would do.

Tory and his team allegedly held “meaningful discussions” about a plea deal in the case, despite him previously pleading not guilty. Despite this, his defense attorney, Shawn Holley, maintained his client’s innocence in a statement to Rolling Stone. “As in every case, the lawyers for the parties discuss the possibility of resolving the case,” Holley said at the time. “This case is no different. That said, our position as to what did and did not happen in this matter remains unchanged, and [Tory Lanez]’s plea of not guilty stands.”

It’s been a bumpy road for Tory, as he was recently forced to pay a bail increase due to a violation. Tory made a surprise appearance during DaBaby’s Rolling Loud set in Miami, where Megan Thee Stallion was also set to perform. This violated a restraining order Megan had in place against him, which prohibited him from coming within 100 feet of her. As a result, his bail was increased from $190,000 to $250,000.

Megan Thee Stallion is a Warner Music artist. Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group.

Rolling Loud Explains Why They Sponsored DaBaby’s Tour

The Live Show Killa Tour featuring DaBaby is set to kick off later this month but it comes after a contentious period in DaBaby’s career. The rapper faced major backlash this summer after appearing at Rolling Loud Miami where he made comments that have been widely condemned as homophobic. Though it took a while for him to apologize, he did eventually and then met up with leaders of LGBTQ+ and HIV Awareness organizations who schooled him on his ignorance.

Ultimately, Rolling Loud has stood by DaBaby’s side throughout it all. First, they shared the video for the “Whole Lotta Money (Freestyle)” on their Instagram page shortly after the controversy. Then in New York, DaBaby popped out as a surprise guest during 50 Cent’s set which Relationship Unleashed CEO said they signed off on. Finally, DaBaby announced his forthcoming tour, sponsored by Rolling Loud.

Some have questioned them for backing DaBaby during his controversy. The organizers explained to TMZ that they felt DaBaby deserves another change. They said that the rapper had grown from the incident with the forthcoming series of shows expected to be a welcoming environment for all.

DaBaby’s tour kicks off on Nov. 26th in Chicago Ill before wrapping up the 22-date tour in Los Angeles on Feb. 6th, 2022.

Check out all of the tour dates below. Will you be copping tickets to the Live Show Killa tour?

Jay-Z Offers 11-Year-Old Reporter From Brooklyn Advice On Success

Jay-Z hardly does press but an 11-year-old reporter from Brooklyn got the opportunity to chop it up with the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame inductee about his keys for success.

Jazlyn, who goes by Jazzy on social media, is an 11-year-old reporter from Brooklyn who’s been going viral on TikTok and social media for her numerous interviews with some of the biggest celebrities. With 2.3M likes and 111.1K followers, Jazzy’s snagged interviews with massive celebrities who offer her some words of wisdom for her TikTok page.

In the latest interview she conducted with Jay-Z, she asked him about tips for success. The rapper explained that it boiled down to two factors: trust in self and confidence. “Believe in yourself, even before anyone else believes in you. You’ve got to have ultimate confidence like you do. You’re very confident,” he told her. “And just believe in yourself.”

“The [goat emoji] @jayz shares a few tips for success with me & other kids watching. … Thanks so much for sharing time with me,” the caption reads.

Even though Jazzy is only 11-years-old, Jay allegedly set limits on what could be asked during the interview. At least, in the case of any “silly dinner questions.” Her father, Nino Valdes, slid into the comment section of the post where he stated that she was explicitly asked by Hov not to ask any questions pertaining to the viral “$500K or dinner with Jay-Z” debate.

“Btw to all Jazzy’s fans Mr. Carter politely asked her not to ask any silly dinner questions before her interview so we had to respect the [goat emoji],” he wrote. “Appreciate you @jayz for sharing time out of your busy day with her.”

Part two of the interview is set to drop on Friday.

Winner’s Circle’s New Signee Jay Bezzy Drops “F*ck Love”

Winner’s Circle has been a leading label when it comes to drill music in New York City, specifically Brooklyn. Founded by Sheff G and Sleepy Hallow, the two rappers have claimed their stake in the rap game with the releases under their label. Sheff’s unveiled several projects, including Proud Of Me Now, while Sleepy Hallow recently released the deluxe edition for Still Sleep? last month.

The label, however, is expanding to include some new artists including their latest signee Jay Bezzy. This week, Bezzy announced the signing with the release of his new single, “F*ck Love.” Great John holds down the production while Bezzy offers a vulnerable take on love and heartbreak.

“F**k Love is about disloyalty, dishonesty and heartbreak. My first song as a Winner, giving the world heartbreak medicine,” he said in a statement.

I really hope that I get through to you
No clown n***a, can’t be lookin’ like boo boo the fool
And I know you wouldn’t do me like that
But I need reassurance before I get too attached
