Issa Rae Asks Beyoncé & Rihanna Not To Release Anything During Her Season

Overlaps in the industry as it pertains to releases is inevitable. In music, we often see certain artists avoiding particular New Music Friday drops because they coincide with big names like Drake or Kanye West, and Issa Rae is making a plea for others to let her final season of Insecureshine. The filmmaker-producer recently shared the trailer for the conclusion of her coveted series, and she playfully yet seriously asked some of our favorites not to drop anything leading up to the premiere.

In a video she shared online, Rae was excited about her news. “Wow, I don’t know what to say, it’s feeling like me season right now,” the comedic actor said with a smile.

“I feel so bad for anybody that doesn’t f*ck with me. Um, mute me, block me, whatever you need to do because it’s a ‘me’ season right now,” she continued. “It’s my time. Also, Beyoncé and Rihanna, please don’t release anything during this time. Can you please just let me have this? You guys get all the attention, and rightfully so, and I would just like to respectfully ask you [to not release anything].”

Before the Beyhive or Navy get themselves worked up, Rae is a huge fan of both artists and her video was made in jest. Check out her clip along with the trailer for the final season of Insecure below.

Adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2 “MX Blue” Coming Next Year: First Look

Kanye West has constructed some popular shoes throughout the course of his career, although none of them are as popular as the Adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2. The shoe has gone through various eras over the course of the last five years, and even in 2021, the shoe is getting new colorways that differentiate from the past. For instance, Ye has introduced the “MX” series which is filled with shoes that contain swirls all throughout the upper, all while combining various colors.

Recently, Yeezy Mafia gave us the release date to the Adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2 “MX Oat,” and now, they are back with a first look at the “MX Blue” colorway which is likely to release next year. As you can see in the image below, the shoe has a light blue aesthetic that is covered in various other shades of blue. It makes for a wavy look that is unlike anything the Yeezy brand has ever put forward.

Unfortunately, an exact release date is still unknown although you can expect these to drop sometime in 2022. In the meantime, keep it locked to HNHH for all of the latest updates regarding all things sneakers. As always, give us your thoughts on this shoe, in the comments below.

Coi Leray Receives Kind Words From Rolling Ray Following Their Beef

When Coi Leray expressed that she was feeling defeated, no one expected encouragement to come from Rolling Ray. The social media influencer has often gone after Leray online with insults and trolling behavior, so when the rapper shared that there was a time when she felt like giving up, he decided to come forward with a new approach.

Despite her successes and taking to stages to perform in front of audiences that host tens of thousands of fans, Leray has often shared her struggles with being bullied. Rolling Ray knows just how that feels, so he set aside his animosity to send kind words her way.

On Instagram Ray wrote, “@coileray cheer up girl, it only gets worst. We not on the best of terms but I hate uh quitter.’ Never let em see u sweat Wake em up & Take your L’s in private. I been bullied my whole life & its worst now but I’ll never fold & neither should u Lil Purr, u got this @coileray! Now get back out there & wake em up!”

He ended his message by saying, “Break uh leg bih [wink emoji].” It is unclear if Leray reached out to Rolling Ray, but at least these two are on a more positive note for the time being. Check out his message below.

LeBron James Praises Draymond Green For Vaccine Take

The COVID-19 vaccine has a lot of NBA players and fans riled up, especially when you consider how some of the more prominent names in the league are against getting it. Kyrie Irving is perhaps the most famous player to hold this position, and as things stand, Kyrie won’t be able to play in Brooklyn if he holds firm on his position.

As for Andrew Wiggins of the Warriors, he is facing a similar fate, and recently, Draymond Green was asked about whether or not he would encourage Wiggins to get the shot. This led to a lengthy monologue in which Green said it simply wasn’t his business to do something like that and that at the end of the day, it is Wiggins’ choice as to whether or not he gets the shot or not.

“That would be like Andrew — who everyone knows recently just had a kid maybe 5 months or so ago now — that would be like me telling him, ‘Yo, your wife is going into labor. How dare you leave this team and not go tend to your wife?'” Green said. “That’s something that’s personal to him. That’s something that’s health-related. That’s something that’s personal to his family. This is no different. We’re dealing with something that to me feels like has turned into a political war when you’re talking about vaccinated [people] and non-vaccinated [people]. I think it’s become very political.”

As it turns out, LeBron James was a big fan of this position as the Lakers star took to Twitter and said “Couldn’t have said it any better.” As one can imagine, LeBron’s tweet has gotten some backlash as many fans would rather him take a proactive role in educating people about the vaccine.

For now, 95 percent of the league is vaccinated, and numerous teams have 100 percent of their players vaccinated. These are certainly positive numbers to look at it, and overall, the NBA is still ahead of other leagues when it comes to vaccination rates.

Carmelo Anthony Jokes About Getting Scratched Up By Anthony Davis

Carmelo Anthony has been through a lot in his career and it has taken him a long time to get to where he is now. After two successful seasons with the Portland Trail Blazers, Melo is now with the Los Angeles Lakers and this is his final chance at winning a title. Based on the Lakers’ roster, it would appear as though it is more than likely that he pulls off the feat, although you truly never know what can happen throughout the course of an NBA season.

Regardless, Anthony has a very obvious mission this season and he is already practicing with the Lakers and engaging in some tough battles at practice. For instance, Melo has been going up against Anthony Davis, and it turns out it has already led to some very minor injuries.

Melo recently showed up to his media availability with a cut above his left eye, which as you can imagine, led to some questions from reporters. Melo went on to say that it was all Davis’ fault, although it’s clear that he didn’t really care too much about it.

“You got to ask Anthony Davis, man,” Melo quipped. “Just a war wound. He tried to take me out early.”

Melo and Davis will be interesting to watch this season, and there is no doubt they will make the Lakers extremely fun to watch as the games go on. If you’re a Lakers fan, this season cannot come soon enough.

The Emmy-winning show returns with a glow-up. Literally.

HBO released a new trailer, following a nostalgic first preview, for the final season of Insecure, continuing the show’s themes on growth. At the outset of the trailer, Issa is hyped up in the mirror by a braces-wearing younger version of herself. While the trailer starts on a high, the show is all about the ups and downs of life, with additional cuts showing Issa and co. visiting Stanford, their alma mater, bringing up uncertainties about the direction of their lives.

“I thought this panel was gonna make me feel like somebody, but all it did was remind me where I’m not,” Issa can be heard saying.

The show’s final season will feature ten episodes, airing weekly on HBO, and available to stream on HBO Max. Including Rae, the show welcomes back series regulars: Jay Ellis as Lawrence, Yvonne Orji as Molly, Natasha Rothwell as Kelli, Amanda Seales as Tiffany, and Courtney Taylor as Sequoia.

The show quickly garnered a loyal fanbase and attention from critics since its 2016 debut. Insecure has been nominated for 11 Emmys and won in 2020 for Outstanding Single-Camera Picture Editing For A Comedy Series, as well as received two Golden Globe nominations.
