James Harden Heaps Praise On Meek Mill Ahead Of “Expensive Pain” Release

The friendship between James Harden and Meek Mill is no secret.

The two have been seen together in the club countless times and have been linked to the silliest things, like Harden tickling Meek on video, and more-serious things, like Harden visiting the Philly rapper in prison and rocking “Free Meek” sneakers on the court.

Today, just one day before Meek’s fifth studio album, Expensive Pain, is released to the masses (check the handwritten tracklist here), the Brooklyn Nets superstar sat down with Rap Caviar to explain what makes Meek Mill so special to him.

Dissecting the parallels between hoop careers and rap careers, Harden said both he Meek do what they do for the love of the game.

“Some people do it because it’s like a gift, the money or fame you get out of it,” Harden explained. “Some people, like myself, love to hoop. I’ll do it without the money. Meek one of them dudes … one thing about Meek — he loves to rap. Like, loves to rap.”

Shifting his focus from Meek’s work ethic to the upcoming Expensive Pain, Harden said it’s “One of them ones.”

“I been knowing Meek and listening to Meek for a very long time and Meek ’bout to drop. He got a tape that’s about to be one of the best ones he’s put out.”

That’s high praise coming from a guy who’s one of the very best at what he does. And it’s also high praise coming from a guy always hanging out with Travis Scott and Lil Baby.

Harden obviously thinks the world of Meek and his upcoming project but the real question is what do you think? Are you smashing the play button when Expensive Pain drops tonight at midnight? Let us know in the comments.

Summer Walker Wants To Start A “Real Family” With New Beau: “Gotta Drop This Album First”

Summer Walker announced that she’s ready to put out two new things into the world — a new album, and a new baby. Walker already shares a young daughter, nicknamed Princess Bubblegum, with producer London On Da Track. The couple are no longer together, after a turbulent relationship, including a public falling out where Walker called London out for being a “deadbeat dad.”

The singer has since moved on, it seems. Walker shared photos to her Instagram with her new boyfriend, speculated to be LVRD Pharoh, who she said she’s ready to have more kids with, “Can’t wait to have a real family & [an] actual happy pregnancy experience but I gotta drop this album first,” she wrote.

Walker teased that her sophomore album was almost done back in August, with possible features from Omarion, SZA, Ari Lennox, Diddy, and Lil Durk. Summer’s on-again-off-again relationship with London is sure to be a hotly discussed topic on the album. The singer tweeted that she’d spill all the tea on her issues with London back in July.

The two have fought bitterly for months on social media, with Walker warning women to “run away from this type of man,” in reference to London, even going so far as to insinuate she’s switching teams because of her experience with him.

Eminem’s Stalker Gets Five Years Probation

In April 2020, Matthew David Hughes, 28, was arrested after breaking into Eminem’s home and coming face to face with the legendary rapper during the night. According to Em, Hughes allegedly said he was there to kill him, a disturbing revelation that could have spelled tragedy under different circumstances.

One year later, Hughes found himself in a courtroom for his troubles, as prosecutors revealed that the man had been stalking Eminem as far back as 2019.

Now, a verdict has been reached, with the Associated Press reporting that Hughes has been sentenced to five years of probation with time served for a charge of a second-degree home invasion. The report also indicates that Eminem was okay with the decision, though he did not attend the hearing.

Hughes spent 524 days in a Macomb County jail before ultimately signing a plea and sentencing deal. In exchange, several charges were dropped entirely, including “first-degree home invasion, malicious destruction of property between $1,000 and $20,000 and assault of a jail employee,” as per AP’s report. It’s also noted that Hughes’ was generally quiet during the hearing, and the statements he did make were of a “confusing” nature.

We can only hope that this brings some sense of closure to Eminem and his family; while it’s not guaranteed that Hughes will have learned his lesson, the fact that Eminem approved of the sentence seems to suggest that he’s ready to move on. Clearly, he’s got other things on his mind — including his new song “Last One Standing,” a collaboration alongside Skylar Grey, Mozzy, and Polo G. Not to mention his newly opened Detroit restaurant Mom’s Spaghetti, at which he made a rare public appearance yesterday evening.

Meek Mill Shares His ‘Expensive Pain’ Tracklist Featuring Lil Baby, Young Thug, And More

This Friday, Meek Mill is set to drop his fifth studio album, Expensive Pain, after a tidy rollout that included both a slick new single with fellow Philadelphian Lil Uzi Vert, “Blue Notes 2,” and some questionable cover art. Today, he’s shared the star-studded tracklist via an Instagram post of the handwritten track titles and features. Scribbled on plain lined paper with multiple differently colored markers, even the tracklist appears to reflect the new “artistic” direction the album appears to be taking.

Along with the aforementioned Uzi Vert, guests on the album include A$AP Ferg, Brent Faiyaz, British rapper Giggs, Kehlani, Lil Baby & Lil Durk (on the previously released “Sharing Locations“), Moneybagg Yo, newcomer Vory, and Young Thug. Also included is the track “Angels,” which appears to be a loving tribute to Meek’s Dreamers artist Lil Snupe and his friend Nipsey Hussle. Meanwhile, it appears “Flamerz Flow” and “War Stories” will not appear on the album — at least not this version. Looking at the trend in releases over the past 18 months, we can likely expect them to pop up on the inevitable deluxe.

Expensive Pain is due 10/1 via Atlantic Records.

Some artists covered here are Warner Music artists. Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group.

Air Jordan 4 “Military Black” Set To Drop Next Year: First Look

When the Air Jordan 4 was first released back in 1989, it dropped in four distinct colorways. One of those offerings was the “Military Blue” model which still gets a lot of love to this day. The shoe is known for having a mostly white leather upper, all while there are bright blue highlights throughout. It is most certainly a clean offering and it is one of those shoes that looks good regardless of the occasion. With that in mind, it shouldn’t be a shock that Jordan Brand is looking to relive that success with this latest Air Jordan 4 showing.

In the post below via @zsneakerheadz, you can see a photoshop rendering of an Air Jordan 4 that has been dubbed “Military Black.” This is a play on the “Military Blue” name and it makes a whole lot of sense when you realize that both shoes are effectively the same, although the key difference is that the blue has been replaced by black. This creates a clean white, black, and grey model that will appeal to the fans out there who just want something a bit more basic in their wardrobe.

Like many of the other shoes teased over the past few weeks, this sneaker is expected to drop in the summer of 2022, although an official date has not been set. Stay tuned to HNHH, as we will continue to bring you the latest updates from the sneaker world.

Potential Air Jordan 1 Low Travis Scott x Fragment Alternate Teased By Hiroshi Fujiwara

Renowned streetwear mogul Hiroshi Fujiwara is giving hope to sneakerheads who missed out on the last Air Jordan 1 Low Travis Scott x Fragment collaboration back in August. Teasing a picture via his Instagram that he has since deleted, Fujiwara showed off what seems to be an elaborate alternate pair of the popular Jordan 1 low, derived from the also-popular OG version.

At this point, any Travis Scott Jordan 1 collaboration with Nike immediately ignites the sneakerhead community, as the original low Fragment colorway sold out quickly, much to no one’s surprise. This newest alternative pair will likely be the same, as it is carrying over many of the characteristics as the original.

The leaked alternate still appears to have the signature reversed “Sport Blue” Nike swoosh across its lateral side like the OG pair, complemented by shades of off-white, making up the design’s total colorway. However, there is no consistent black color we saw featured on the sneaker’s prior design.

Outside of the picture, there isn’t much more information on the latest Jordan x Travis collab, although Fujiwara did hint at the shoe’s potential release in 2022, according to @shoe_prize on Instagram.

Below is their post of the leaked alternate colorway, per a mock-up, along with the deleted photo of Fujiwara wearing the actual shoe. Scroll right to see both.

Check back in for more important details on the shoe as we inch closer to a potential release.

Shakira & Her Son Attacked By Two Wild Boars In A Barcelona Park: Report

The war on wilderness continues. In a year where a California woman has fought off a bear in her own backyard and a Florida man has gone toe to toe with an alligator in his front yard, no animal-related story should surprise any of us at this point. However, a news report coming out of Barcelona involving wild boars has shocked us once again because it involves globally renowned singer Shakira.

According to UproxxShakira was attacked by a couple of wild boars while walking with her eight-year-old son in a Barcelona park. Surprisingly, the “Hips Don’t Lie” singer stood her ground and fought them off.

Thankfully, Shakira was able to defend herself and her son, but although both of them were not harmed during the attack, the boars did manage to steal Shakira’s bag, which contained her phone, before running off into the woods. She was eventually able to recover her property, and she went on to detail the shocking situation on her Instagram story on Wednesday.

“They were taking my bag to the woods with my mobile phone in it,” Shakira said, detailing the attack. “They’ve destroyed everything.”

While it is mind-boggling to know that Shakira recently fought off a couple of wild boars, she is just the latest victim of the increasingly aggressive hogs which have invaded the Catalan capital in recent years, BBC reports. In fact, wild boars have been attributed to approximately 1,187 police calls in Barcelona since 2016, and they are commonly found all throughout Europe, with a population of over 10 million on that continent alone.

Naturally, this unbelievable news has gotten fans talking on Twitter, so check out some of their reactions below.

Air Jordan 3 “Desert Elephant” Brings The “Black Cement” Vibes

Tinker Hatfield’s Air Jordan 3 is one of the most celebrated Jumpman shoes of all time as it has a storied history within Nike. It is the shoe that convinced Michael Jordan to stay with Nike long-term, as he was looking to leave the brand for Adidas. The Jordan 3 has received a ton of great colorways over the past few years, and as we approach 2022, it is looking like the brand has big plans for one of its flagship silhouettes.

According to @zsneakerheadz, one of those models is the “Desert Elephant” offering which can be found below. As you can so clearly see, this new offering mirrors the iconic “Black Cement” colorway that first graced the Jordan 3 back in 1988. The big difference here is the fact that the elephant print overlays are a light brown color, as opposed to grey. This gives the shoe more of an aged look, although if you are a casual sneaker consumer then it might be hard to rationalize the very minute differences here.

According to the post below, this shoe is set to arrive in the Summer of 2022, although an official release date has not been announced. Let us know what you think, in the comments below. As always, stay tuned to HNHH for more updates from the sneaker world.

Rick Ross Speaks On Possible Drake Collab Album

With his upcoming album Richer Than I’ve Ever Been set to arrive later this year — or so we think — Rick Ross has been steadily active on the promotional circuit. Today, Renzel caught up with Complex and Hiking With Rappers host King Keraun for a quick and informative jaunt in the California wilderness.

Rick Ross, one hundred pounds lighter mind you, braves the hike like a champ — at least initially. During his time on the trail, Renzel speaks on a variety of topics, including his dynamic with JAY-Z and the long-discussed collaborative album with Drake

When asked about his relationship with JAY-Z, Ross explains how Hov went from an influence to a collaborator. “It’s a great position to be in,” reflects Ross. “Cause you still a fan. If you are authentically a fan of music, and the history that the homie created, you’ll always respect. Then when I sit at the table and pick his brain on certain plays and moves, they’re all beneficial. And here I am going on album number twelve, you can tell I got the Blueprint.

When asked if there’s ever been an artist who truly clicks with him on a creative level, Ross points to Hov once again, as well as a few more heavy-hitting artists. “When I create with JAY-Z, our records have always been historic,” says Ross. “Me and Kanye, what we created on Dark Twisted Fantasy, and of course what me and Drake doing. And there’s still a possibility of me and Drake collaborating and doing an album together, because when we do collaborate it comes so naturally.”
