According to new reports, Beyonce is adding her touch to the King Richard biopic with a new musical selection for the film. It was during the Telluride Film Festival that the track was revealed at the Thursday night premiere.

The cut, titled “Be Alive,” is produced and co-written by Roc Nation signee DIXSON. DIXSON first came to prominence as a contestant on The Voice, joining Pharrell Williams’ team. He’s since gone on to collaborate with Pharrell, Vic Mensa, and Chance The Rapper among others

As for the film itself, the Warner Bros. Pictures film is set to arrive on November 19th and will depict the story of Richard Williams, the father of Venus and Serena Williams.

It is based on “the journey of Richard Williams, an undeterred father instrumental in raising two of the most extraordinarily gifted athletes of all time, who will end up changing the sport of tennis forever,” says the studios.

The case will star Will Smith as the title character while Saniyya Sidney plays Venus Williams and Demi Singleton portrays Serena Williams. Aunjanue Ellis stars as their mother and tennis coach, Oracene “Brandy” Price.

Based on the Telluride premiere, The Los Angeles Times describes it as Will Smith’s “most challenging role in two decades.”

Back in August, it was discovered that 25-year-old Precious Stephens, who worked as a 911 operator, was allegedly disconnecting people calling in to report crimes on purpose. According to NOLA, the New Orleans woman is currently on the run, and has yet to be found.

The New Orleans Police Department reports that Stephens was hanging up on callers without taking down any of their information, or informing dispatchers about any ongoing emergencies.

The city’s Parish Communications District began investigating Stephens’ calls from August 20th and 21st. Just a few days later, they had collected enough evidence to turn her over to the police.

“The district reported to police that Stephens had deliberately disconnected 911 calls without obtaining vital information or informing other dispatchers about the callers who were in need of help.”

“[The Orleans Parish Communications District] has and will continue to cooperate with the investigation into this matter and is dedicated to providing any and all assistance to aid in (the) efforts,” the district said in a statement.

NOLA reports that the alleged criminal was fired for her wrongdoings, charged with malfeasance and interfering with an emergency communication, and currently faces up to five years in prison.

However, the site also notes that Stephens has been on the loose since last Thursday, and still currently remains at large.

Nicki Minaj has shared pictures from her recent hang-out with Rihanna and A$AP Rocky, and luckily for us, we also got new snaps of the Queen’s baby boy, affectionately referred to as “Papa Bear.”

Last week, Nicki Minaj shared some recent photos of her adorable little boy, Papa Bear, with her husband Kenneth Petty. On Monday, Nicki posted some more new photos, this time linking up with another island princess, Rihanna, and her boyfriend, A$AP Rocky.

“#RokNRiha #QueenRih #CaribbeanGirlsRunit Love her downnnnnnn #NewYorkShit #YKTFV,” wrote Nicki on Instagram. In the pictures, Kenneth Petty sits on the far left, and Nicki holds Papa Bear in her lap. Right next to the toddler, Rihanna smiles with her boyfriend, A$AP Rocky. 

In the second slide, Rih and Rocky seemingly got behind the camera, snapping a shot of the Minaj family.

Nicki posted a second gallery, this time focusing solely on herself with Rihanna, writing, ” #ChunRih & My baby Majesty (the barbz love u more).”

The Barbs and the Navy are equally excited about these photos, and people are raving about this meet-up between two legendary recording artists. Hopefully, this means that Nicki and Rihanna have music on the way, but we’re not holding our breath on that.

Unfortunately, it’s been far too common in the current state of hip-hop but Roc-A-Fella MC Freeway provided a bit of a history lesson this weekend in hopes that maybe they can learn from his experiences.

The tension between D-Block and State Property flared up nearly twenty years ago with both Beanie and Jadakiss sending off scathing diss tracks at each other. Though the feud nearly got violent, all parties have since embraced each others as brothers in the rap game. Freeway took to Instagram this weekend where he shared a photo of Jadakiss with his arms around both Beanie and Free.

“Here’s a little history lesson for all y’all young folks out there that think killing is the answer,” Freeway wrote on IG. “At one time me in my bro @beaniesigelsp was enemies with @jadakiss and the whole #Dblock! It was definitely up! But we managed to come together talk it out and now we are brothers that work together and provide for our families! Think about the decisions you make before it’s too late!”

In the clip that Freeway shared, Jadakiss elaborated on his relationship with Freeway and Beanie Sigel. “All of y’all don’t know this but behind the scenes, we’re brothers, for real. Allah is the greatest. These my real brothers and Philly’s my second home. We got a lot of things about to happen and a lot of dudes can’t do this or say that, but if I die tonight, these my brothers for real,” he said.

Queen Naija is thinking about changing her legal name.

The singer, whose real first and middle name is Queen Naija, took to social media to reveal that she was considering changing the spelling of her middle name because she allegedly gets accused of calling herself the Queen of Nigeria

“I think I wanna legally change the spelling of my middle name “Naija” to “Najah” cause so many people think I’m calling myself the Queen of Nigeria.”

In response, many fans were quick to point out that they’ve never heard the argument made over the confusion of her name, pointing out the fact that her middle name actually has multiple meanings across various languages. Still, for all the trouble it might have caused, the name has served the songstress well so far.

This year, she followed up on her misunderstood album to share misunderstood…still. It expanded on the original album, which arrived nearly a year ago, adding names like Ari Lennox t the mix via the “Set Him Up” collaboration that the two women share.
