Wiley Facing Assault & Burglary Charge

Grime musician Wiley has been charged with the assault and burglary of a friend per The Guardian.

Scotland Yard alleges that the rapper, born Richard Kylea Cowie Jr., broke into the home of kickboxer Ali Jacko in East London back in August.

The 42-year-old is scheduled to appear before Thames magistrate court on September 13th to face charges of assault by beating and burglary of a dwelling with intent to cause damage.

“At around 2200hrs on Saturday 28 August police were called to a flat in Forest Gate,” said Metropolitan Police. ” “Officers attended the location. It was alleged that a man had entered the flat, assaulted the occupant and caused criminal damage to property. The man was arrested and taken into custody. The occupant, an adult male, sustained a minor injury. London ambulance services were not required.”

Wiley, the long-established “Godfather of Grime,” was honored with an MBE from the Queen for his work throughout the UK’s music industry. He first announced his retirement from rap last year with his Godfather 3 album but has continued to release new cuts and remain among Grime’s heaviest hitters.

Pusha T Seemingly Enjoys Drake’s ‘Certified Lover Boy’ Having A Major Day-Two Streaming Drop-Off

Pusha T and Drake have one of the most famous hip-hop feuds of recent years. So, it’s not too surprising to see that when Pusha found a comparison that paints Kanye West’s new album Donda in a more positive light than it does Drake’s Certified Lover Boy, he was all over it.

It started with a recent tweet from XXL, which compares the Spotify streaming numbers of Donda and Certified Lover Boy on the albums’ first two days of availability. West’s album was streamed 94.5 million times on its first day before jumping up to 102.1 million streams on its second day. As for CLB, it had 153.4 million streams on its first day before falling drastically to 89.9 million the next day.

It’s worth noting, though, that Donda was released at around 8 a.m. on a Sunday, as opposed to midnight on Friday like most albums are (including CLB). If you do the math, Donda and CLB actually had similar numbers in terms of average streams per hour on their respective first days: about 5.9 million and 6.4 million, respectively. So, looking at streams per hour on the album’s first days versus their second-day performance, they performed somewhat similarly, with Donda experiencing a smaller day-two drop-off but CLB reaching a higher peak. So, all in all, the numbers from that tweet don’t fully represent the situation at hand.

Anyway, somebody shared a screenshot of the XXL tweet and added, “i predicted this. i said drake’s day 1 is gonna be huge off the element of surprise then its just gonna drop. donda everyone heard in full 3 weeks before it dropped, still did these numbers and is only growing in streams. crazy!” Pusha seemingly agreed with the tweet, as he gave it a like.

When West released Donda, Pusha shared a congratulatory post about it, writing on Instagram, “This is about power, money, influence and taste…nothing more, nothing less. Watching you ‘joystick the culture”‘makes us all proud. Continue to do things your way, congrats, and I’m honored to have been a part of the process.”

Kodak Black Expecting A Baby Girl With His Girlfriend: Report

Cardi B isn’t the only person who has exciting baby news today. Rapper Kodak Black is reportedly expecting his second child, according to his lawyer Bradford Cohen, who broke the news today.

The exclusive announcement was made by TMZ after hearing from Cohen, who claims that Kodak is expecting his second child, and his first daughter. His girlfriend, real estate agent Maranda Johnson, reportedly found out that she was pregnant in April, which means that Kodak’s baby girl will arrive in either late 2021, or early 2022.

Kodak and Maranda have reportedly been dating on-and-off for the last little while after meeting each other four years ago. They decided this year that they wanted to have a child, and this is their first baby together.

According to the report, Kodak is reportedly “ecstatic” to be having a girl, and he’s already been shopping around for her. He reportedly plans to spoil his daughter with gifts.

Kodak Black already has one child from a previous relationship, his six-year-old son, King.

This news comes following Kodak’s claims that he’s going on tour with YoungBoy Never Broke Again, and that he’s back on good terms with Quando Rondo, but wants to fight the rapper first. Unfortunately, Kodak is still having issues with Jackboy, whom he signed a few years ago, as they continue to fall out over money issues.

Kirk Franklin’s Son Accuses His Mom Of Assault On IG Live

Earlier this year, Kirk Franklin’s son, 33-year-old Kerrion, called out the gospel singer and leaked a phone call where Kirk used explicit language and yelled. At the time, Kerrion was attempting to paint a negative picture of his father, and the video spread like wildfire on social media.

This weekend, Kerrion Franklin was back at it, accusing his mother of abuse, assault, and more on Instagram Live.

The 33-year-old was live-streaming with his family, claiming that he was “protecting” himself. “I’m ’bout to go to my grandmother’s house. I’m being abused right now, I was assaulted by my own mother,” said Kerrion, admitting that his mom tried to take him to the hospital. During the exchange, Kerrion’s mother gave a friendly wave to the camera and told her son he was looking for attention by going on Live with such harsh allegations. Kerrion’s mom appears to be calm, denying his assault accusations. She said that he was “causing a scene.”

The women in the video tried to work with Kerrion, telling him that he needs help.

In the comments, some people are suggesting that Kerrion was going through a manic episode, but that much has not been confirmed. Pretty much unanimously, people are siding with Kerrion’s mom, remembering the ordeal earlier this year with Kirk and that voicemail.
