PlayStation 5 Owners Will Have To Pay $10 To Upgrade PlayStation 4 Versions Of Games

One of the best things about the Playstation 5 is the backwards compatibility. Also, those with Playstation 4’s have been able to upgrade their game to the next-gen version for free. Xbox has the same feature, where many games that are on both Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S can be upgraded for free. However, things are about to change for PS5 owners.

Very soon, PS4 to PS5 upgrades will cost an extra $10. That means games like God of War: Ragnarok and Gran Turismo 7 will be available for both systems. However, the PS4 version won’t work on the PS5 as a next-gen game without buying the upgrade. This is similar to how NBA 2K21 released two versions of their game (one for current-gen for one for next-gen). However, those NBA 2K21 differences were very defined, and each played like completely different games.

In a PlayStation Blog Jim Ryan, President, and CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment explained the new plan. “Last year we made a commitment to deliver free upgrades for our cross-gen launch titles, which included Horizon Forbidden West,” he stated. “While the pandemic’s profound impact pushed Forbidden West out of the launch window we initially envisioned, we will stand by our offer: Players who purchase Horizon Forbidden West on PlayStation 4 will be able to upgrade to the PlayStation 5 version for free.”

“I also want to confirm today that moving forward, PlayStation first-party exclusive cross-gen titles (newly releasing on PS4 & PS5)–both digital and physical*–will offer a $10 USD digital upgrade option from PS4 to PS5,” he continued. “This will apply to the next God of War and Gran Turismo 7, and any other exclusive cross-gen PS4 & PS5 title published by Sony Interactive Entertainment.”

Does this change your mind about the PS5 if you already have one? Will it deter you from picking one up?

Abby De La Rosa Explains How She & Nick Cannon Manifested Twin Babies

Nick Cannon is growing his families one by one. Or, in the case of Abby De La Rosa, two by two. Cannon and De La Rosa welcomed twins to this planet on June 14. Zion and Zillion De La Rosa are adorable babies, and the twins will give Nick even more responsibility in his continuing budding family.

Although it may seem like Nick may be having children randomly, Abby De La Rosa claims that she and Nick had been manifesting their pregnancy. Speaking with Page Six, De La Rosa stated, “First pregnancy, April 2020, was definitely not planned, but Nick was such a great friend to me and just so good to me, and then our focus became to have a baby,” she stated of the miscarriage she experienced with Cannon initially. “Little did we know we would end up having twins.”

“Let me just add that this planning wasn’t like us sitting down with a calendar and being like, ‘You gotta be pregnant by this date,’” she continued. “It had already been a thought and it happened. It had already been out there, it was something we were manifesting and we were just letting it flow.”

De La Rosa also took to social media to explain her and Nick’s manifesting process. Check it out below.

If Zendaya Ever Directs, She Wants All Her Leads To Be Black Women

As Zendaya’s portfolio continues to expand, the hyphenate may very well be eyeing yet another hat to wear in the form of a director.

In a new conversation with British Vogue, Zendaya admits to wanting to try directing on for size, but she carries only one stipulation–to make a project with Black female leads.

On the topic of her current experiences and the legacy she’d hope to leave behind, Zendaya reveals that she hopes for a body of work that reflects the “catalyst for change” that she believes art to be.

“If I ever do become a film-maker, I know that the leads of my films will always be black women,” she tells the publication. “I gotta hurry up and figure out how to f*cking become a director, man. I’m trying, I’m learning every day, I really am. There’s so much I want to do.”

All the while, she is in no rush to put a date to it, and remains comfortable following the cadence of her success.

“I’ve never been like, ‘I want to do this at this time, then from this age, I want to do this.’ One day I’ll have a family, but I’m not trying to put a number on it,” she says at one point. “It’ll happen if it’s meant to happen.”

Sada Baby Drops Off “Perk Franklin”

There is rarely a week that passes where Sada Baby doesn’t drop off some new music. While his biggest look thus far occurred at the top of the year when Nicki Minaj hopped on the “Whole Lotta Choppas” remix, the rapper has kept the underground hot with loose singles. Many of them don’t end up on streaming services but hopefully, all of the music he’s dropped is a sign that he has a new project on the way.

This week, the rapper returned with a brand new banger titled, “Perk Franklin.” Hopping on exhilarating midwest production, his menacingly animated flow leads the way through the barrage of punchlines.

Terrell Owens Would Love To Fight Donovan McNabb: “I’d Knock Chunky Soup From Him”

The feud between Terrell Owens and Donovan McNabb is well known. The two former Philadelphia Eagles players have spent years throwing public barbs at each other. Their disagreements are what led to a split for the teammates, who made it to Super Bowl XXXIX in 2005, but were defeated 24-21 by the Patriots.

Owens recently sat down with Shannon Sharpe on Club Shay Shay, and went in on McNabb. “I had one guy who was like…who would you want to fight? I said Donovan McNabb, and I’m dead serious Shannon I’d knock him out,” gloated Owens. “I would be controlled, it would be controlled anger …I’d knock the Chunky soup from him for 2004.”

Last year McNabb appeared on Bleacher Report’s Untold Stories with Master Tes, and explained how he felt that Owens was responsible for breaking up the Eagles in 2005.

“The offseason goes through and all of the sudden there’s turmoil here there are conversations going back and forth and we had to answer those questions instead of focusing on what we need to do in order to get back to where we were and I thought that was the major distraction for us,” explained McNabb.

“You know, he’s doing sit-ups, you know, he’s doing push-ups, he’s playing basketball, he ordered pizza for the people out there and we sitting there in training camp just like, ‘You gotta be kidding me,’” he continued. “I’m just sitting there, I’m watching on TV and Brian Dawkins and Trotter were my roommates. And Dawk comes in and he’s like ‘What did he do now?’ and I’m like ‘Take a look.’ Like, this is like Days of Our Lives. Like, it’s unbelievable, you know. That was something that kind of broke us up. That was the most frustrating thing for me.”

Ronski Locks In With Berner & Larry June On “Cookie Jar”

The Bay Boss Ronski has a few hustles on his plate but for now, he’s putting his effort towards delivering some taste raps. The rapper/real estate investor/A&R came through with some heat this week, in the form of a new single alongside Berner and Larry June. Together, they team up for the single, “Cookie Jar.” Spacey production leads the way for the upbeat record that’s perfectly suited for a wake & bake session. Of course, the title of the song itself takes inspiration from Berner’s Cookie brand that has been leading the cannabis industry in the past few years.

Berner is coming off of the release of latest project, Paulie Cicero while Larry June dropped his project, Orange Print back in June.

Check out the new single below.

50 Cent Slammed For Posting Insensitive Instagram Post About Michael K. Williams’ Death

50 Cent just can’t play nice. The bully mogul, who has reinvented himself as the ultimate internet troll, hopped online to plug his series Raising Kanan in one of the most distasteful ways possible. The rapper and businessman decided to tie in the death of Michael K. Williams. In the now-deleted post, ‘Fif writes, “Damn if you didn’t see Raising Kanan check it out that fentanyl is no joke, killing the clientele. RIP michael k. williams.”

Michael K. Williams was discovered in his Brooklyn apartment dead this weekend. Reports claim that drug paraphernalia was near his body, which was found on the couch after his family came to check on him. They claim he was unresponsive through messagaing and they went to check on him.

After rising to fame playing Omar in The Wire, Williams went on to play in several films and television shows, including Lovecraft Country, Boardwalk Empire, The Night Of, 12 Years a Slave, and Assassin’s Creed. While many praised Williams, 50 just had to go for the low blow.

‘Fif and Williams did get into it online just a few years ago. 50 shared a post of incarcerated mogul James “Jimmy Henchman” Rosemond, with a caption hinting that Henchman got jumped behind bars. Williams then posted a video, saying, “I just stopped pass with a little message for anyone who may or may not be interested in anything they’ve heard in regards to Jimmy Rosemond on social media these past few days. They are completely false y’all. I speak to him and his team of lawyers on a regular basis and I assure you he is fine and in prayer. So with that I’ll say to anyone under the sound of this simple man’s voice God bless.” Fif then stuck back, replying, “Old Omar how much they pay you to play a punk PUNK. Mind your business da fuck wrong wit you.” It’s unfortunate these two couldn’t work things out properly before Williams passed away.

Dappy, M24 & Backroad Gee Deliver Heat On “Antigua”

UK rapper Dappy has been in full effect this year. Though he’s no newcomer to the rap game, he’s had an incredible run this year with songs like “Bolo” with Abra Cadabra, “Good Times” with Willie X.O., and his fiery “Daily Duppy” freestyle for GRM Daily.

This week, he returned with a brand new banger alongside Backroad Gee and M24 titled, “Antigua.” The three rappers dive into a moody, UK drill beat, handled by Maze Beats and Ludo. M24 kicks off the record, as he flexes both his penchant for bars and a melodic side before handing the mic off to M24 and Backroad Gee.
