Fandango Reacts To Being Let Go By The WWE

The WWE can be a brutal business at times and over the last year, it has felt like a multitude of wrestlers have been let go from the company. Vince McMahon has been known to be a savvy businessman over the years although this can sometimes turn into some pretty hefty job losses amongst wrestlers who have made an impact on the wrestling world.

Today, the WWE let go wrestlers like Fandango, Tyler Breeze, Tony Nese, Arturo Ruas, August Grey, and a whole host of others. Fandango was the most prominent wrestler on the list as he has been with the WWE for upwards of 14 years. Fandango rose to prominence thanks to his win against Chris Jericho in his first-ever Wrestlemania, and while having to leave the WWE hurts, he is still grateful for the time he had with the company.

“Thank you @VinceMcMahon @TripleH @StephMcMahon. Thank you for the last 14 years. I truly appreciate it!” It’s never easy to leave an organization that you’ve been with for so long, although it’s good to see that Fandango still has love for all of those who were involved in his career.

With the financial hardships the WWE has dealt with over the past year, we could see more cuts in the near future.

EST Gee Laughs All The Way To The Bank In His ‘Capitol 1’ Video

Louisville rapper EST Gee returns today with another new single to build on the rising rumble he’s cultivated over the past year. “Capitol 1” is a thumping song that oozes menace as the street-bred rapper threatens his ops and shows off his cash. The video accompanying the track finds Gee waving a stack of said cash in front of the camera as he sips from a red cup, mugging alongside his crew while draped in glittering diamond-encrusted jewelry. He also FaceTimes his mentor Lil Baby, who helped launch his career by putting him on the 2020 “Real As It Gets” and originally offered to sign him to 4PF.

While that plan didn’t exactly come to fruition, EST Gee did manage to land a deal instead with Yo Gotti’s CMG Records, where he shares space with fellow up-and-comers 42 Dugg, Blac Youngsta, and Moneybagg Yo. He also has a number of successful singles with many of the aforementioned cohort of trap rappers, including “Members Only” with Dugg, “Special” with Moneybagg, and “Get Money” with the label honcho Gotti. He also popped up on fellow Louisville native Jack Harlow’s acclaimed debut album earlier this year, celebrating the world-famous “Route 66.” The Louisville native is on the verge of a huge breakout thanks to some choice features but proves he can carry a song on his own here.

Saweetie Says “Pretty Privilege” Worked Against Her

Saweetie’s long-awaited debut album Pretty B*tch Music was slated to be released this week. She’s been teasing its arrival since last year, already unleashing the singles “Tap In,” “Back to the Streets,” “Best Friend,” and “Fast (Motion)” from the upcoming project. Now scheduled for a later release, the California native announced she pushed the project back to rework a few songs

“And one of my goals is for people to really feel something with every song, so I had to go back and reconstruct some songs. Just know that I’m a perfectionist and it’s on the way,” revealed the singer earlier this week. In a recent interview, the “Best Friend” artist got candid about what “pretty privilege means to her, and how it has impacted her life.

“And there are some pretty people who abuse whatever privilege they have or they’re given,” began the rapper in a new Power 106.1 interview. The interviewer then interjects to add that the term is “pretty privilege.”

“Right, but it’s just like, for me, honestly, throughout my whole life, being pretty was kind of like a, it was kind of like, how do I say this…it wasn’t a privilege for me. I was judged, rumors were made up about me, and it was kind of always working against me. And it’s just like, for me, I never thought of pretty as glamorizing my existence as a human being.”

“So when I say Pretty B*tch Music, I’m not talking about your face I’m talking about your aura, I’m talking about your energy, I’m talking about your self-esteem,” she added.

“You got pretty energy?” asked the host, to which Saweetie responds, “Yeah, don’t nobody want no stank, ugly energy…When I say pretty I think the biggest misconception is people thinking about fashion or your ice or your jewelry, or your makeup but for me, pretty is like your confidence. I love me a confident woman.”

As for when Pretty B*tch Music will be arriving, Saweetie has yet to set a date for when we can expect the debut project.

Diplo Reportedly Sued By Ex-Fling For Sexual Battery

A couple months ago a report surfaced that stated Diplo was suing a woman named Shelly Auguste for harassment, stalking and revenge porn. He described Auguste as an “unstable fan who manipulated herself into” his life. Their interactions reportedly occurred years ago, but Diplo claimed that she hasn’t stopped harassing him. Well fast forward to today and that very woman is now filing her own lawsuit against the hit DJ, claiming Diplo pursued her when she was underage, had sex with her when she was an adult, and never disclosed he had an STI.

According to TMZ, Shelley claims that Diplo first contacted her via Twitter when she was 17 and solicited nude photos of her, while also sending her sexually explicit and vulgar comments. She alleges they exchanged explicit photos before meeting in person for the first time in 2018, when she was 21. Auguste claims she later moved to L.A., and Diplo really began pressuring her for sex by sending unsolicited graphic photos of himself in sexual situations.

Then, Auguste says she heard a rumor Diplo had herpes and questioned him about it in late 2018, and he got angry and cut off all communication. However, she says they made up in 2019, and in April of that year, she claims she gave in to the pressure and lost her virginity to Diplo.

In addition, Auguste alleges Diplo recorded video of their sexual encounter despite her telling him she didn’t want that. She claims she was eventually diagnosed with chlamydia, and believes she got it from Diplo because she says he was her only sexual partner at the time. She claims he ignored her when she confronted him about it too.

As for Diplo’s side of things, his attorney, Bryan Freedman, tells TMZ, “As has already been made clear in the restraining order we obtained against this individual, she has repeatedly stalked, defamed, threatened and attempted to shake down [Diplo] and his family.” Freedman continues, “These latest false claims are just part of that ongoing campaign of harassment, and we will not allow them to deter us from pursuing justice against her to the fullest extent possible under the law.”

Curren$y Discusses Making His Own Strain & Stuffing Cones On “How To Roll”

In the latest episode of How To Roll, HNHH welcomes veteran New Orleans rapper Curren$y. Arriving alongside the arrival of his latest project, Welcome To Jet Life Recordings 2, Curren$y’s appearance on How To Roll finds him discussing what it’s like to make his own strain, his distaste for Blue Dream, the craziest strain names, and much more.

“I’m a OG — I smoke OG,” the Jet Life rapper admits. “But my scientists are all like, ‘Spitta, you’ve gotta get into these other styles of bud, these smells, and these flavors.’ So we’re creating some things right now. I’m not gonna give up the recipe just yet, but I’ll let you know when these are on the shelves. Right now, I’m just taking it through a test-run.”

For Spitta, making sure that his strain is as high quality as possible is what matters most. He reveals that he has a reputation for removing his name from unreleased strains if they don’t meet his expectations. “Even though I know if they put the logo on it, it’s gonna sell, I’m like nah,” Curren$y admits. “A muhf*cker gon’ buy it because my name on it and it’s not good. I’ve never done them that [way] with a mixtape, you know what I’m saying? It said my name — it sounded like how it was supposed to sound.”

Later on in the video, the Pilot Talk artist also tells the story about how he fell in love with stuffing cones, which apparently happened while he was visiting Amsterdam. “It’s my complete way of life bruh,” Curren$y says. “I first found a pack of cones — they weren’t the brand I’m smoke now — [when] I was in Amsterdam. The flight was pushed back like four hours, so we kicked it a bit outside the hotel. I went into this coffee shop, and i had little two packs of these big f*cking cones.”

“I was like, ‘Oh yeah, let’s go. All the weed I have left into those two and smoke them onto the way to the aiport, right?’ Nah,” he continues, revealing that he actually wasn’t able to smoke on the shuttle and in most public places in Amsterdam. “The shuttle told me I couldn’t smoke the weed. I got these two f*cking brontosaurus burger, f*cking Flintstone cones. Get to the airport and never had a chance to smoke them. There’s no little pavilion for smoking…[so] I went into the bathroom and I ate ’em.”

Beyoncé’s Mother Tina Knowles-Lawson Calls B.S. On Derek Chauvin’s Sentence

Hundreds of thousands of Americans tuned into Derek Chauvin’s sentencing today (June 25). The former Minneapolis Police Department officer was found guilty of second-degree unintentional murder, third-degree murder, and second-degree manslaughter charges for the killing of George Floyd in April.

Around two months since the conclusion of the trial, Judge Peter Cahill issued the convicted criminal a 22 1/2 year prison sentence on Friday (June 25). Exceeding the state’s minimum guidelines but falling short of the prosecutors’ request of a 30-year-sentence, Cahill added that he would be credited for the 199 days he has already served. Social media has been buzzing with the news, with many crying out that the sentence is simply not long enough. Tina Knowles-Lawson, the mother of Beyoncé and Solange, is one such critic.

Very Disappointing!!” wrote the 67-year-old fashion designer on Instagram, sharing a photo of the headline announcing his sentence. She continued on by comparing his brief sentence for murder to that of her godson’s sentence for marijuana.

“My Godson was sentenced to 20 years for 2 ounces of marijuana he has been In Jail for 11 years. This man convicted of three charges He Murdered This man on TV before the world. And will only serve 15 ! The system has to change!” she finished.

“22 years? But he only has to do 15? Black people we got screwd again. Black people right now in jail for life, from nonviolent drug charges,” wrote one person in agreement in the comments, while another added, “I just know they didn’t expect us to jump for Joy or something . Since when is a A human life is equivalent to 22 years ? This is a slap on the wrist compared to other charges.”

Based on routine practices in the criminal justice system, since Chauvin is a first-time offender, he will serve at least 2/3 of his sentence before being eligible for parole–this translates to about 15 years behind bars, with the remaining time being under supervised release.

After he received his sentence, Chauvin offered condolences to Floyd’s loved ones. “I want to give my condolences to the Floyd family,” Chauvin said, addressing Floyd’s relatives. He cryptically added, “There’s going to be some other information in the future that would be of interest. And I hope things will give you some, some peace of mind. Thank you.”

Tyler Herro Will Likely Be Traded This Offseason: Report

During his rookie season, Tyler Herro was a beloved player. He was instrumental during the Miami Heat’s unlikely playoff run and coming into this season, there were high expectations. Unfortunately, Herro was unable to live up to those expectations as he wasn’t putting in the same effort on the floor. In fact, throughout the season, there were reports that he wasn’t taking basketball seriously and that he was more concerned with becoming a celebrity and having endorsement deals.

Now, Ethan J. Skolnick of 5 Reasons Sports is claiming that numerous sources around the league expect Herro to get traded. As of right now, there is a 75 percent chance that he gets dealt in the offseason, which just goes to show that the Heat don’t see a future with him.

Of course, things can change between now and the offseason, although these latest reports align with some of the other rumors that have circulated Herro throughout the season. Despite all of this, Herro is still a talented shooter and if he develops his defensive game, he could become a bonafide star. For now, however, he will have to continue developing his game, with or without the Heat.

Stay tuned to HNHH for more updates from around the NBA.
