Malik Beasley Speaks Candidly In Open Letter From Prison

Minnesota Timberwolves star Malik Beasley is currently in the midst of serving a 120-day prison sentence after being charged with felony threats of violence and felony drug possession following an incident that occurred back in 2020. The prison sentence began on June 1st which means Beasley has been in prison for about 11 days now. During this time, he has been doing a ton of reflection about the last year and some of his actions that have transpired.

There is no doubt that Beasley is a solid basketball player, however, his off-the-court exploits ended up taking away from the great season he just had with the Timberwolves. Beasley is well-aware of these mistakes, and recently, he took to social media with a letter about what he’s been through and how he plans to change.

Per Beasley:

“Dear family, friends and fans,

“What’s up guys, just wanted to say a few words. I’m doing better. I’m closer to God, closer to my family, and most importantly finding myself. Not sleeping at home has been tough but it’s only temporary. I’m still working hard everyday on and off the court to be the best version of me. I want people to learn from me, because it’s going to be one helluva story. This last year is just a chapter, and I hope you stayed tuned until the end. 30 for 30 get the crew ready lol.

“I’m reachable if you hit my business partner Christian Dawkins, or if you really want to reach me. Send a letter or book to Wright County J, under my name. I’ll do my best to respond to everyone. I’m not looking for sympathy or anything like that, just to understand I could easily fold and I won’t. For those who care, I love y’all and will return the favor I promise. Just be patient. Sending love & peace to everyone. Have a blessed weekend. <3 – MB5.”

It’s clear that Beasley feels a lot of remorse for what has gone down, and writing these feelings out displays a ton of growth and even courage. Hopefully, he can come back from this experience stronger than ever.

Lil Durk’s Alleged BM Shares Side-By-Side Pictures Of Her Son & Durk

According to the mother of Lil Durk’s alleged seven-year-old son, the rapper has been ignoring his child, failing to support him financially for the last few years. Travonna made the claims during a recent tell-all interview with blogger Tasha K, speaking out against the alleged father of her son. Calling out Durk for always claiming to take care of his family while cutting off his own son, Travonna set out on a mission to prove the rapper’s paternity to his fans, who have been trolling her all day in the comments.

After people rushed to her page to back up Lil Durk, calling Travonna a clout chaser for coming out with these allegations after the rapper’s brother passed away, she took time to clap back against the critics, claiming that she’s already gotten a DNA test to confirm Durk’s paternity, sharing side-by-side photos of them.

“Y’all have time I don’t,” she started on Instagram. “I have a DNA test I have my proof I have my reasons I wish I would entertain you devils have a good day & just so we clear that was a prerecorded interview I had no idea when it was dropping it was ppl that seen it before me but judge away yall me (sic) nothing to me.”

She continued to share long messages on her story before posting a side-by-side of her son and Lil Durk. “LIE FOR WHAT???” she prodded. “Y’all are NOBODY TO PLEASE & HE IS NOBODY TO PROTECT UP AGAINST MY CHILDS INNOCENTS SO AGAIN HAVE A GOOD DAY WE GOT DNA.”

Travonna also posted a screenshot of Lil Durk on FaceTime with her son, who was a newborn at the time.

Lamar Odom Ruthlessly Disses Aaron Carter Ahead Of Boxing Match

Aaron Carter and Lamar Odom are set to face off in a three-round boxing match on Saturday, and fans are pretty confident in who is going to win this one. On one side, you have a small former singer, while on the other, you have a large former athlete who towers over the vast majority of people he comes into contact with. When you take this size difference into consideration, it seems pretty obvious as to why these guys are only going to be going for three rounds.

While speaking to TMZ recently, Odom reiterated his strategy heading into the fight, noting that his plan is to knock Carter out. He even through some disrespect at Carter which is surely going to get the man riled up.

“I don’t know who he’s sparring against but I know my gym is full of guys that can fight and I’ve been sparring with and I have a really good trainer,” Odom said. “[Aaron has been] talkin’ s**t but I’m gonna put him to sleep early. […] I asked his girlfriend yesterday which round do you want to wake him up in.”

Needless to say, Odom is ready for war, and we’re sure Carter is at least just a little intimidated. Once these two make it into the ring, then we will truly get a better sense of how this fight is about to go down.

IDK Drops Off Another One With “Peloton”

IDK has come through to deliver a new single “Peloton,” continuing his streak of impressive and stylistically diverse loosies. Though certainly capable of spitting bars when the occasion calls for it, IDK also knows when to pull back and reflect. “Peloton” is one such occasion, as IDK shares his side of a relationship saga, bearing his heart and showcasing some melodic chops on the confessional single.

Fielding advice from all corners — “My mama told me ‘Treat her like a lady’ / My ni*ga say ‘Treat her like a thot'” — IDK looks inward for a conclusion. He proceeds to channel 50 Cent on “21 Questions,” hitting his potential love interest with some true head-scratchers. “What if they call you a bitch and you look at me, And I say, “Trick, I am not your security”?” he asks. “Like, what would you think? Would you be in shock or not even blink?”

Check out the melodic new track from “IDK” now, and show some love in the comments below.

New Trailer For “Power Book III: Raising Kanan” Reveals Kanan’s Backstory

The first full-length trailer for the latest installment in the Power universe, Power Book III: Raising Kanan, is here and reveals more about the titular Kanan’s backstory.

“This is my story,” he begins the trailer. “This is a Southside Jamaica, Queens story.”

The series stars Mekai Curtis as Kanan, as well as Malcolm Mays as Lou-Lou, Hailey Kilgore as Jukebox, and more. Set in 1991, the synopsis explains that the show will explore “themes of identity, violence, and legacy, but it is also a deep dive into the very pathology of family; the unique, complicated and fraught dynamic between parent and child, mother and father, brother and sister.”

Curtis recently spoke about how his portrayal of the character will differ from 50 Cent’s performance as the older Kanan.

“I think younger Kanan differs from older Kanan in terms of the instinct and the feeling of what Kanan stood for,” he told Entertainment Weekly. “He’s a 15-year-old kid trying to figure out who he is in life. He’s trying to figure out how to move and adjust and be there for his family while also being there for himself.”

Floyd Mayweather Vs. Logan Paul PPV Numbers Are In

Logan Paul’s novelty fight against Floyd Mayweather had a lot of hype surrounding it and it had some people thinking that it could do record numbers through Pay Per View. The highest viewed PPV fight of all time was between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao, which had over 4.5 million people watching. Going into last Sunday, there were some people who thought that this event could eclipse the Pacquiao fight numbers-wise, which would mean a nine-figure payday for Mayweather and a healthy eight figures for Logan.

According to USA Today Sports, the PPV numbers came in way lower than expected, as around 1 million people bought it. With each PPV going for $50 USD, this means $50 million was generated from the match. Mayweather allegedly got 50 percent of the cut which means he took home $25 million all while Logan is estimated to have received $5 million.

These are fairly disappointing numbers although it makes sense when you consider just how many people have admitted to pirating the fight. Bootleg streams have become a huge problem for PPV events in the past and it’s clear that Paul and Mayweather fell victim to it, as well. Not to mention, not everyone was sold on how entertaining this fight would be, so it makes sense that some people decided to avoid it, altogether.

With these numbers in mind, it will be interesting to see if Floyd decided to do another one of these in the future.

The last season of ABC’s The Bachelor concluded in a very tumultuous finale after winner Rachel Kirkconnell was exposed for past racist behavior. Long-time host Chris Harrison underplayed her behavior and defended her in an interview with a former contestant. Harrison himself made racially motivated remarks and blasted cancel culture in the interview, prompting him to take a hiatus from the show. Harrison did not return for the reunion and, last week, he permanently stepped down from the show. He had been hosting The Bachelor since 2002 and Bachelor in Paradise since 2014.

Bachelor in Paradise crew stated that the new round of guest hosts is an attempt to “breathe personality” and offer “different perspectives” in this new season. Check out the announcement below, and should you be interested, look for Lil Jon to make his debut in paradise later this summer.
