In terms of her public perception, Lizzo hit a rough patch after facing a harassment lawsuit from some of her former dancers in 2023. At this point, Lizzo seems OK with the idea of being “canceled.”

During a panel at Fortune‘s Most Powerful Women Summit on October 14, Lizzo spoke about that and about her current relationship with fame, explaining (as E! News notes):

“I’ve been canceled for everything at this point. Only God can cancel me now. I think that I talk about the things that are important to me, and I talk about the things that I can bring a difference to, and I think those are my boundaries now with the public.”

At the same panel, she also clarified her recent comments about taking a “gap year,” saying (as Billboard reports), “‘Gap year’? Girl, who said ‘gap year’? I launched my company Yitty in 2022 at the same time as my album, Special. […] As soon as I stepped down home from tour — I may not be as public-facing — but I went straight to Yitty headquarters, and I’ve just been working, working, working. You may not see me, but I’ve been working. It ain’t a gap year, it’s a grind year.”

Big Sean and Gunna are both on the comeback trail after career setbacks; while Gunna infamously drew criticism for accepting a plea deal from the Georgia District Attorney’s office, Sean has dealt with hits to his own reputation from skeptics who don’t believe he lives up to his billing as one of rap’s upper echelon entertainers.

The Uproxx cover star aimed to shoot down such rumors with his new album, Better Me Than You, on which “It Is What It Is” appears, alongside “Who You Are (Superstar),” “On Up,” and “Yes.”

Meanwhile, Gunna is fresh off the release of his own bounce back album, One Of Wun, and its supporting tour, the Bittersweet Tour, both of which are helping him find his way back into rap fans’ good graces.

Karlissa Saffold has spoken out in defense of Tia Kemp after she went viral for screaming at her ex at the hospital where he son is allegedly being treated for a gunshot wound. Filming herself discussing the situation from her car, the mother of Blueface explained that Kemp cares deeply about her children and the father tried her on the “wrong day.”

“This why you can’t play with no woman with a son with no tubes in they mouth,” Saffold began. “That happened with Tia. Tia had a moment. She’s going through something and y’all already know, she ain’t got no time to play. You already know she’ll cuss your big fat ass out in a New York minute. If her baby daddy got smart, he got smart on the wrong day.” She concluded: “Leave people alone when they going through sh*t with they kids. Tia’s like me. She’ll die by hers. She don’t give a f*ck.”

Diddy’s life is crumbling at every turn. With a continuous flow of lawsuits, allegations, and the like, there seems to not be a way out for him. At the moment, the disgraced music and business mogul remains in the clutches of the Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) in Brooklyn, New York. It’s said to be one the harshest jails in all of the United States in every aspect. He’s not getting much free time (around one hour a day) and is also not allowed many visitations. Right now, it’s looking like his trial will begin on May 5, 2025, even though there was an opportunity to begin in April.

So, he’s still got quite a while before any real steps are taken in his legal ordeal. In the meantime, all he can do is get through each day and try and find some sort of fulfillment. Speaking of which, it seems Diddy is doing that in some capacity. Just moments ago, he shockingly posted to his Instagram account. “We just try to eat everything with the least carbs as possible,” Joe told the outlet. “So we try to stay away from the bread, the pasta, the rice. That’s the smartest way to eat.” He added that carbs are still necessary so it’s all about balance. “Like this morning I ate breakfast, I had this toast. I cut the corner off, ate it, and kept it moving,” he added. “Normally I would’ve ate [sic] the whole thing. But you know, that’s what we do. We cut carbs and try to be smarter.”
