Lil Wayne Seemingly Finesses Burger King With Halfhearted Brand Tweet
Lil Wayne is one of the most beloved figures in Hip-Hop, but over the last few years, he has also increasingly become one of the genre’s most polarizing artists as well. From rubbing elbows with former President Donald Trump to recently working with the disgraced Tory Lanez, many people have become wary of Wayne’s antics, but others, like Lil Boosie, think that the Funeral artist has simply been making major chess moves.
That remains to be seen, however, in regards to a recent branded tweet that Lil Wayne sent out on behalf of Burger King. Earlier this morning at 11 am sharp, the legendary emcee unleashed what could possibly be one of the most lackadaisical branded tweets of all time. Just in case he ends up scrapping it and going back to the drawing board, here is a screengrab.
According to Uproxx, Lil Wayne fulfilled his contractual obligation with Burger King by simply tweeting, “Sourdough @BurgerKing #AD.”
While Burger King’s Sourdough King sandwich is not a completely new menu item, it is making its return to Burger King in a variety of iterations starting on April 19. Hopefully, Lil Wayne’s tweet will get the masses excited for the fast-food giant’s highly-anticipated sandwich.
Do you think that this is another case of Lil Wayne just being Lil Wayne or do you think he planned to finesse Burger King?

The Alchemist & Armand Hammer Reveal “Haram” Tracklist
The Alchemist is on a tear, having laced some of the grimiest projects of the last few years — including one that earned him his first Grammy nomination for Freddie Gibbs’ Alfredo. Now, Al is set to keep the ball rolling with another new album, this time teaming up with Billy Woods and Elucid’s Armand Hammer for the upcoming HARAM.

Taking to Instagram to share the project’s official album artwork, an image that will inevitably infuriate vegans the world over, Alchemist also provided a glimpse at the fourteen song tracklist. Featuring guest appearances from KAYANA, Fielded, Earl Sweartshirt, Curly Castro, Armani Caesar, and Quelle Chris, the album is set to be released on March 26th.
“HARAM. an album by Armand Hammer & The Alchemist,” captions the producer. “MARCH 26th. PREORDER NOW AT BACKWOODZSTUDIOZ.COM.” The project marks the first time that Billy Woods and Armand Hammer are working with a singular producer, and Alchemist has done wonders in bringing the vision of his collaborators to life. Described on the website as “warmly inviting on the surface, black and bone-crushingly cold at depth,” HARAM will likely be an essential album for fans of lyricism and cohesive listening experiences. Check out the divisive album cover and tracklist below, and sound off if you’re excited for this one to drop on March 26th.
Air Jordan 1 High OG “Patina” Drops Next Month: Official Photos
Air Jordan 1 colorways are sent to be incredibly plentiful in 2021 and sneakerheads are excited to get their hands on as many pairs as possible. There have been numerous teasers to make their way to the internet and just a few months after these teasers hit the web, Nike typically comes through with the actual official images. This past week, that is exactly what they did as they came through with the Air Jordan 1 High OG “Patina.”
In the images below, you can see that the sneaker has a black toe box and side panels, all while the back heel is grey. From there, the overlays and Nike swoosh are all brown, which offers up a rustic aesthetic that makes the shoe look a bit beaten up and rusted. It’s a concept that is executed to perfection, and if you’ve been wanting something a little different from Jordan Brand, this would have to be it.
As for the release date, one has yet to be announced although all signs are pointing to these being released during the month of March, for $170 USD. Let us know if you plan on copping these, or if they will be a pass. As always, stay tuned for more sneaker updates.

Lil Wayne Seemingly Did The Absolute Minimum To Fulfill A Branded Tweet Obligation
An awesome side effect of being successful and popular is that once you reach a certain level of fame, you can leverage your social media following for serious income opportunities. For example, it was reported in 2019 that Kim Kardashian earned $1 million per branded Instagram post, while the same year, Kylie Jenner was apparently raking in $1.2 million per post. That seems like an easy way to make a ton of money, and today, it appears Lil Wayne shared a sponsored post of his own while putting in as lil effort as possible.
This morning, at 8 a.m. PT on the dot, Wayne tweeted, “Sourdough @BurgerKing #AD.”
Here’s the tweet:

— Lil Wayne WEEZY F (@LilTunechi) February 25, 2021
And here’s a screenshot of the tweet in case this work of art gets taken down:
Back in 2018, Burger King introduced the Sourdough King sandwich, which was only available for a limited time. Today, it was reported that the sandwich is making a return in a variety of iterations, but just until April 19. Wayne conveyed none of this information, which is presumably what his ad was meant to be about. Based on his tweet and without that context, one could infer that the rapper was trying to start a conversation about bread with the burger chain and Anthony Davis, or perhaps he was demanding that BK “ad” sourdough bread to their menu.
Criticism aside, while Wayne’s ability to get his point across could be questioned here, we probably wouldn’t be talking about Burger King right now if Wayne had tweeted a more conventional ad. It’s the squeaky wheel that gets the grease, so congrats to Wayne for being a genius marketer.
Freddie Gibbs Claims To Have Shot A Crackhead Nine Times — To Very Little Effect
Rappers often make braggadocious claims about their lives from before they picked up the mic. In fact, it could be argued that these claims are a large part of why many rap fans enjoy the genre, whether or not those big fish tales turn out to be true (Jadakiss’ 360-degree walls have become a favorite water cooler talking point on Twitter). However, every so often rappers say these things outside the context of their music, which somehow makes their boasts all the more outrageous and, in some cases, borderline problematic.
One of the kings of such statements is Freddie Gibbs. As a rapper whose primary inspiration seems to be his uninhibited, drug-dealing days in Gary, Indiana, Gibbs’ raps are often packed with shootouts, shady deals, and the sort of details that make US Prosecutors salivate at the thought of introducing lyrics in court (fortunately, they can’t). But during his appearance on the Joe Rogan Experience podcast yesterday, Gibbs casually makes a claim that has fans doing double-takes.
“It’s a crackhead, back in the day,” he recalls. “I shot that n**** nine times with a TEC-9 and he kept running down the alley.”
Freddie Gibbs really said this on JOE ROGAN out of all platforms. I’m dead pic.twitter.com/HXkMp8SCBw
— Freddie Gibbs’ Intern (@YeezyBound) February 24, 2021
It’s the sort of story that both begs more context and utter and absolute silence from the storyteller because as badly as we all want to know more, that’s exactly the sort of narrative that should remain on wax — not in a podcast, which isn’t protected by the same rules. Of all the questions that arise from Gibbs cavalier recollection, the one that hovers over the proceedings the lowest might just be:
Blxst’s ‘No Love Lost’ Dance Video Showcases Some Award-Winning Talent
LA rapper Blxst is in the midst of a huge breakout after bubbling on the city’s underground scene for the past few years. With the release of his debut tape, No Love Lost, and its star-studded deluxe edition, Blxst has become a household name on the West Coast, with designs on expanding his popularity to the national stage in short order.
To help with that, he’s enlisted the aid of Angyil, a Red Bull Dance Your Style World finalist, to put her own interpretation on the latest single from Blxst’s breakout album. The “No Love Lost” dance video puts Angyil on the picturesque Dakar coast, which provides a beautiful backdrop for her electrifying moves.
Blxst’s highly visual approach to his debut project is part of the reason for its success. Beginning with the video for “Overrated,” several of the videos from the original project tell an overarching narrative that describes a night of LA-style troublemaking, as Blxst and his boys “run a play,” forcing Blxst’s girl to stay up late worrying about him. The narrative concludes in the video for “Pressure,” resolving the plot and establishing Blxst as a master storyteller — which is the biggest part of his appeal.

King Von’s Manager Doesn’t Wish Jail On Quando Rondo Affiliate Lul Tim
Several months later and the hip-hop community is still shaken up over the passing of King Von, one of the greatest storytellers of his generation. The late 26-year-old had a way with his words, telling authentic tales about his upbringing, his life in the streets, and his O’Block partners. Through his music, the world got to learn about his rough way of life, and right when he started to see a lick of success, everything was abruptly taken away from him.
King Von’s manager Track has been speaking exclusively with VladTV about his former client, the night the rapper was killed, and more about Von. During the latest portion of their conversation to have been released on YouTube, Track talks about Timothy Leeks, also known as Lul Tim, who was accused of pulling the trigger on Von.

When asked if he felt justice after Lul Tim was arrested and charged with Von’s murder, Track says that he honestly didn’t, stating that he wouldn’t wish jail on his worst enemy.
“Honest truth, I wouldn’t wish jail on my worst enemies. That’s just how I am, how I’m built,” said Track. “Honest truth, I could care– that’s his situation and he gotta deal with it. That’s his team. Whatever’s going on with them, that’s on them. Me, personally, I know what I’m dealing with with losing my brother and his family and just making sure we keep everything going. I don’t really think or even consider what’s going on on that side. That’s for them to figure out what they got going on.”
During the same interview, Track calls King Von his generation’s Tupac Shakur after Vlad points out the similarities in the manners with which their lives ended.
Rest in peace to King Von. Watch the latest part of Track’s interview above.
DJ Khaled Motivates Followers With Awe-Inspiring Throwback
In the spirit of Throwback Thursday, veteran hitmaker DJ Khaled has come through with a throwback of his own. The “GREECE” artist took to Instagram about an hour ago to give his followers an honest glimpse of his humble beginnings, prior to his massive global fame. In the motivational post, a very young Khaled is seen handing out flyers, and even though he’s doing the grunt work, viewers can still see Khaled’s trademark enthusiasm as a big smile appears on his face.
In the caption, DJ Khaled writes, “#TBT Me on the corner in front of liquids in Miami passing out flyers for my parties shows events . I never waited on no one I just got the job done. I STILL HAVE THE SAME HUNGER NOW.”
The Father Of Asahd artist continues his motivational caption by saying, “YOUNG WORLD LETS BE GREAT BUT BE GRATEFUL AND LETS SPREAD LOVE AND LIGHT ! …YOU CAN WIN BIGGER WIT LOVE AND POSITIVE VIBES ! KHALED KHALED NEW ALBUM IN THE WORKS.”
From Khaled’s epic throwback post, fans get both a heavy dose of inspiration courtesy of the “POPSTAR” artist and a good idea of what direction he will be heading in for his next album. By promising that he’s as hungry as he’s ever been, Khaled’s follow-up to Father Of Asahd will probably come packed with hits.
As long as he’s not up against any more “mysterious” music, he’ll probably have the number one spot on the Billboard 200 in the bag.
Russell Wilson Potential Trade Destination Odds Revealed
Russell Wilson has consistently been one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL over the past decade and he even has a Super Bowl victory to his name. Unfortunately for him and the rest of the Seattle Seahawks, the team hasn’t had much playoff success since 2015, and the offensive line has been faltering quite a bit. Now, rumors are spreading that Wilson wants out of Seattle and that a trade is imminent.
With this being the case, oddsmakers are now giving their predictions on who Wilson will land with. According to SportsLine, the best bet right now would be the Las Vegas Raiders at +300. Right underneath them are the Denver Broncos, and then the Dallas Cowboys.
Some of the other notable teams here are the Chicago Bears, Miami Dolphins, Carolina Panthers, and even the New England Patriots. Wilson is one of those players who can influence where he goes and considering he is a high-profile guy who has an entertainer as a wife, it wouldn’t be a shock if he ends up in Miami, although at this point, there is no telling what can truly happen.
With the NFL offseason ramping up, keep it locked to HNHH as we will make sure to keep you informed on all of the latest news.
