Adam Silver Slandered As NBA All-Star Game Begins To Unravel

When Adam Silver was first hired to become the NBA’s commissioner, fans felt like he was doing a good job. From unique initiatives to allowing the players to protest racial injustice, it seemed like Silver had a handle on things. However, throughout the pandemic, Silver has fallen out of favor as he continues to make decisions that put the players at risk during the pandemic.

Perhaps his most controversial decision was to go through with this year’s NBA All-Star Game. Various players were rightfully upset with the decision but Silver isn’t backing down. The game is going down tonight and just hours ago, Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons were exempt from the game due to a COVID-19 scare.

The news coming out of Atlanta has left many fans in disbelief as to just how reckless holding the game was. In fact, Silver is catching a ton of heat on Twitter, as fans continue to call him out while also sharing some hilarious memes about the entire situation. Needless to say, Silver will not be a popular man when this is all said and done.

Despite everything, the game is still going to happen today, as Team LeBron and Team Durant try to put on a show for the fans at home. In the meantime, check out the best reactions to the situation, below.

Billie Eilish, Taylor Swift, Cardi B, Lil Baby, And More Will Perform At The 2021 Grammys

This year is certainly an unconventional year for the Grammys. On top of working around the coronavirus pandemic, the show is holding the award ceremony much later in the year than normal. The Recording Academy was forced to delay the show from its original January 31 date following a spike in coronavirus cases in the Los Angeles area. It was rescheduled for March 14 and with just a week left until showtime, it appears things are going as planned as the Grammys have officially announced performers for the upcoming show.

The Recording Academy announced the lineup for the 63rd Grammy Award show in a string of tweets. The resulting list displays Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish, Cardi B, DaBaby, Lil Baby, Roddy Ricch, Doja Cat, Bad Bunny, BTS, and Harry Styles as some of the chart-topping acts that will take the stage next Sunday. Chris Martin, Post Malone, Dua Lipa, HAIM, Mickey Guyton, Brittany Howard, Maren Morris, John Mayer, Miranda Lambert, and Black Pumas are also slated to perform.

On the awards side of things, Beyonce leads the way for the 2021 Grammys with nine nominations. She’s followed by Dua Lipa, Taylor Swift, and Roddy Ricch, who each tallied six nominations.

Wendy Williams Sparks Romance Rumors After Cozying Up With Mystery Man

It looks like Wendy Williams may have found love again. The 56-year-old media personality split from her husband of 20+ years Kevin Hunter in 2019 following a report that Hunter had fathered a child with another woman. Since then, the television personality has remained pretty mum about her relationship status, but things may have just changed. The Wendy Williams Show host shared a photo on Instagram Thursday (March 4) sparking romance rumors between her and Mike Esterman as she cozied up to him.

“Mike & I are having fun!! I’m glad he’s a REAL gentleman,” Wendy gushed in the caption of the post.

Confusingly, she continued to write, “But @RandyJackson, @birdman & @MarioLopez have tried to block my collards, fried chicken, shrimps, yams, beans, soul roll, Mac & cheese, fish, rice, oxtail & my #carrotcake! We WILL discuss once I gather myself.”

While it’s hard to tell exactly what she’s talking about in the latter half of the caption, the ‘Mike’ in question seems to be Mike Esterman who won her “Date Wendy” game on her titular talk show last month. When Esterman was virtually introduced to Williams’, the presenter explained he “works in real estate and home improvement.”

The pair chatted online about their ideal dates before Wendy posed, “Why are you the one for me?”

Best of luck to these two in their budding romance.

2021 Grammys Full Performer Line-Up: Cardi B, Roddy Ricch, Lil Baby & More

The pandemic has screwed up many plans. The Grammys, specifically, was pushed back until this month in the wake of the COVID-19 crisis. However, it seems as if they’re still planning on moving forward as scheduled. The Biggest Night In Music will take place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, though it’ll be drastically different since strict social distancing measures is in place but we’re excited to see who ends up taking home the award for Rap Album Of The Year.

Even for those who aren’t keen on the idea of the award show, the Grammys has offered some stellar performances in the past, and many have been keen to see who will be hitting the stage this year. This morning, they unveiled the line-up in its entirety which includes some of rap’s favorite acts. Lil Baby, Roddy Ricch, Megan Thee Stallion, DaBaby, Cardi B, Doja Cat, Bad Bunny, and many others are scheduled to hit the stage. Despite not having submitted “WAP” to the Grammys, it wouldn’t be shocking if they end up performing the song together. It also seems very likely that Roddy Ricch and DaBaby will team up to perform “Rockstar.”

“Artists will be coming together, while still safely apart, to play music for each other as a community and celebrate the music that unites us all,” the Grammys said of the performances.

Other performances include BTS, Taylor Swift, Bad Bunny, Black Pumas, Haim, Miranda Lambert, and more.

Rich The Kid Buys His Dad A Brand New Jeep

Rich the Kid has proven he’s a pretty stand-up kind of guy. He lent out a helping hand to his friend, fellow rapper Famous Dex, late last year and encouraged him to seek treatment for addiction. He even shared a phone call to fans from the rapper while he was inside the rehabilitation center, alerting his supporters he was okay. The “Too Blessed” artist has just proved his outstanding character once again, purchasing his dad some humble new wheels.

“Bought a new car for my dad, he coulda had anything on the lot,” the 28-year-old Georgia native penned in the caption of the Instagram video shared yesterday (March 6), adding a shoulder-shrugging emoji. The attached video shows Rich the Kid walking towards his dad sitting in his brand new Jeep, smiling widely and giving the rapper a thumbs up as he asked if he liked his new wheels.

Seemingly knowing people would question why he chose to forgo purchasing his father a less flashy car than the black Jeep, he notes in the caption his father wanted that car. That didn’t stop folks in the comments to question why he would purchase his girlfriend a Lamborghini but give his father a “basic model jeep.”

Nonetheless, Rich the Kid’s father seems pretty satisfied with the new whip, which is all that matters anyway. What do you think of his father’s new whip? Let us know in the comments!

Kanye West’s Presidential Campaign Reportedly Violated Fundraising Practices

Kanye West’s 2020 presidential campaign didn’t result in the win that he had hoped for. The rapper only tallied a few hundred votes from a handful of states around the country, and while the election is a thing of the past now, it looks like he’s in a bit of trouble as a result of it.

According to The Daily Beast the Federal Election Commission (FEC) has named several violations from the rapper’s campaign, all of which could lead to legal action pending an investigation. The report states that Kanye accepted multiple donations from minors as well as some from possible foreign officials. Contributions were also listed under fake names and addresses that traced back to drop-shipping facilities on the east and west coasts.

These unlawful fundraising practices accumulated nearly $100,000 in small donations this year. In an interview with the publication, 16-year-old West donor Ian Bloom revealed that he’s yet to receive $3,280 worth of Kanye 2020 gear that he ordered from the rapper’s campaign store in late January.

“I don’t know what’s happening there,” he said. “I ordered like 20 hoodies off his campaign website, along with a lot of other people that I know. They said it would be three weeks, and after that I emailed the support team, and the email just wasn’t a thing.” He shared a screenshot of the automated email response that revealed his address had been blocked. The Daily Beast adds that people under the age of 18 accounted for more than 1,200 of the reported 3,161 donations to Kanye’s campaign, making for a total of $349,160 with $26,540 of that arriving in 2021. It should be noted that it is illegal to seek and accept donations from anyone younger than 18 years old.

Bloom added that he’s in a Discord chat with other hopeful resellers of Kanye’s 2020 gear, many of whom are underage. “I can say with confidence that at least half of us in the group have to be still in high school,” he said.

Trae Young Jokes Begin To Fly As Two All-Star Spots Open Up

Some surprising news came out of the NBA today as it was revealed that Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons would not be allowed to participate in the All-Star Game due to a close contact testing positive for COVID-19. This close contact just so happens to be both players’ personal barber, who they both met with before their flights to Atlanta. Now, there are two open spots in the game, although the NBA has made it clear that these places will not be filled as it is simply too last minute.

Of course, that didn’t stop NBA Twitter from getting some jokes off as they took some shots at the likes of Trae Young, who was infamously snubbed from the festivities. Despite having a solid season thus far, the league continuously ignored Young through the selection process, and now, some fans think he deserves a spot.

The jokes that were flying around on Twitter were pretty hilarious as they completely centered around Young receiving a call from Adam Silver who reluctantly asked Young to be in the game. In all of these memes, Young gives a disrespectful “no,” and it makes for a pretty humorous situation.
