Kamaru Usman & Jorge Masvidal Face-Off Ahead Of UFC 261

Kamaru Usman and Jorge Masvidal had themselves quite a rivalry before they both took part in a fight at UFC 251 last summer. In the end, Masvidal did not have nearly enough time to prepare, which allowed Usman to take the fight with ease. A few months later, these two will be back in the Octagon again on Saturday night as they will duke it out in a rematch at UFC 261. This time around, both fighters had plenty of time to prepare and today, they took part in the ceremonial face-off.

These two fighters have been talking a whole lot of trash over these past few weeks and as you can see in some of the clips below, Usman had a good laugh while looking at Masvidal’s BMF belt which is more of a novelty than anything else. Meanwhile, Masvidal claimed that should he win on Saturday, there will be a third fight between the two.

Conway The Machine Talks Dr. Dre Studio Visit: “He Played Me Some Beats”

On his quest to become the best rapper alive, Conway The Machine has crossed paths with many of the greatest to ever do it. He signed with Eminem and collaborated with him on “Bang.” He received some heartfelt words of encouragement from Jay-Z following an emotional performance of “The Cow.” He received the torch from none other than Nasir Jones.

While the list goes on, there remains one legendary veteran who has yet to publically cross paths with The Machine: Dr. Dre, who has been hard at work on a mysterious project that may or may not be DetoxAs it happens, Conway actually did have an encounter with the Doc, as he details during an appearance on Complex’s “Brackets” series with B. Dot Miller.

After B. Dot inquires about the possibility of a Dr. Dre collaboration, Conway shares a bit of insight on the topic. “I been to his house, I been to his lab,” responds The Machine. “I was listening to some of the songs he’s been working on. He played me some beats. I believe it’s going to happen soon, I hope it do. I’m just a student. I was just enjoying being there, soaking up game. Being around the Doc. Hopefully it happens soon man, sooner than later. That’s an icon and a legend. That’s some bucket list shit for me as well.”

Keeping in line with the Shady/Aftermath topic, B. Dot proceeds to ask about Conway’s upcoming God Don’t Make Mistakes, his first solo release on Eminem’s Shady Records. “It’s done, it’s handed in,” confirms Machine. “It’s ready to go. We locked and loaded. We should be getting ya’ll that shit this summer sometime. July, June. Hopefully sometime like that. Definitely this year.”

While it’s uncertain as to whether or not Dr. Dre will bless Machine with some production in the near future, the fact that he was invited to the Doc’s lab certainly bodes well in that regard. Check out his appearance on Brackets below, a genuinely interesting watch for anyone who appreciates hip-hop history.

Union x Air Jordan 4 “30th Anniversary” To Receive Two New Colorways

Union is one of the most well-known sneaker establishments in Los Angeles and over the years, there have been a whole slew of collaborations coming out between them and Jumpman. One of those collaborations was the Air Jordan 1 High OG which dropped back in 2018. Last year, the two teamed up for two brand new Air Jordan 4 offerings and in 2021, Union is coming right back with two more Jordan 4s as a way to commemorate the brand’s 30th anniversary.

These two new offerings can be found in the renderings below which were provided by @pyleaks on Twitter. The colorways that have been unveiled here are “Desert Moss/Turqouise Blue/Dark Iris” and “Taupe Haze/Blue Fury/Khaki/Roma Green.” Both offerings are fairly unique and we’re sure sneakerheads will be a bit taken aback by the different color palettes that are being used here. Regardless, Union is known for changing things up a bit and once the official images come out, we’re sure there will be some more clarity to these colorways.

As for when these will be set to drop, it is believed that the summer is the target season. We will be sure to bring you all of the latest information, so keep it locked to HNHH for more updates.

Travis Scott Is ‘Glad’ To See ‘We Finally Got Justice’ For George Floyd

This Tuesday, Minnesota police officer Derek Chauvin was found guilty of second-degree unintentional murder, third-degree murder, and second-degree manslaughter for killing George Floyd last May. The conviction happened nearly a year after Floyd’s death, but seeing as 98.3 percent of murders by police from 2013-2020 resulted in no charges, many were glad to finally see Chauvin behind bars. Along with many other celebrities, Travis Scott was among those grateful for the sentencing.

Scott recently sat down for an interview with AP to discuss his thoughts surrounding the trial. Along with feeling “glad” that Floyd was able to get justice, Scott says he hopes the world can eventually “get to a more balanced” place:

“I mean, we felt that we finally got justice toward some sh*t that was just very disgusting. For it to take so long to finally catch something like a verdict like this for the things that happen every day—even during the week of his trial, you’re seeing still it’s continuing—I’m glad that it’s justice for the Floyd family. Now that we can try to work forward to even just try to stop it, in a mass picture, you get what I’m saying? Trying to get to the next step where we can halt this attack, whether it’s from the police or any walking person and just try to get to a more balanced spot in the world. Because this sh*t, it’s just crazy.”

Along with Scott, other musicians who shared reactions to Chauvin’s conviction include Cardi B, Megan Thee Stallion, Questlove, Mariah Carey, Common, and many more.

Some of the artists covered here are Warner Music artists. Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group.

Jake Paul Reveals What Drake Told Him After His Fight

Jake Paul has been taking a nice little victory lap following his dominant defeat of Ben Askren at Triller Fight Club. The YouTube influencer has already shut down the possibility of fighting Askren again, claiming that they had a deal set to appear at a wrestling pay-per-view, which he has backed out of. After knocking out the retired UFC fighter in less than a minute, it makes sense that Paul would want to move onto bigger and better opponents.

As he celebrates his big win from the weekend, Jake Paul was a guest on his brother Logan’s Impaulsive podcast, where he bragged about all of the people that have been congratulating him on the fight. According to Jake, even Drake reached out to show love after his knockout victory.

“Drake DMed me last night,” revealed the undefeated fighter. “[It was] one of the best moments of my life. He says, ‘You’re a demon crow, wow. How much you make for a one-minute set tonight?'”

If you’re not up on your latest Toronto slang, “crow” is basically just like saying “bro.” It derives from “crodie,” which is another popular Toronto term.

Drake is always up on who’s hot in the sporting world, so it shouldn’t be surprising that he extended his congratulatory messages to Jake Paul. Who do you think he’ll fight next?

Joyner Lucas Announces New Single “Ramen & OJ” With Lil Baby

Last month, Joyner Lucas got into a bit of a spat with Lil Nas X following the release of the “Old Town Road” artist’s music video for “MONTERO (Call Me By Your Name)” as well his infamous “Satan” shoes. Prior to that exchange of words, however, Joyner Lucas had been relatively quiet since the release of his full-length effort Evolution last fall, but now, it appears that the “Revenge” artist is ready to step back into the spotlight once more.

After completely wiping his Instagram account, Joyner shared a post that’s sure to get his fans excited. With one picture, the ADHD artist revealed that his first single of 2021 is on the way, and it will feature the beloved QC rapper Lil Baby.

With the announcement that he has a record with Lil Baby being more than enough to get fans hyped for his first single since last fall’s Evolution, Joyner Lucas opted to keep the caption to his huge reveal as simple as possible by merely writing, “4/30/21 @lilbaby.”

Over the past several weeks, fans have been on the lookout for Lil Baby and Lil Durk’s highly anticipated collaboration, but even though Joyner Lucas’ single announcement is unexpected, listeners will probably flock to it nevertheless. Lil Baby is simply one of the hottest commodities in rap at the moment, and if Hip-Hop legends like Rakim are keeping an eye on the Atlanta emcee, then it makes sense that Joyner Lucas made sure that he secured a collaboration with the My Turn rapper.

With roughly a week to go before “Ramen & OJ” drops, fans will have to patiently wait to hear the two artist’s forthcoming single. Are you excited to hear what Joyner Lucas and Lil Baby have been cooking up?
