Russell Wilson Says He Knew He Needed Ciara After Watching “Ride” Music Video

Back in 2010, Ciara unleashed the music video to the lead single of her fourth studio album Basic Instinct “Ride.” Accompanied by an equally sexy video to match the sensual song, the video has gone down in pop culture history for the controversy it stirred at the time of its release. Seattle Seahawks star and husband of the songstresses Russell Wilson recently recalled the sultry video, citing it as the first time he laid eyes on his future lover.

“My next song that I have is Sade ‘Ordinary Love,’ says the songstress in the clip from her Apple Music radio show Level Up Radio. Wilson appeared as a guest for the broadcast’s most recent episode as the two discussed songs related to their romance

In agreement, Wilson adds,, “Sade’s like my favorite. I got ‘Ride’ by Ciara.” He then addressed his wife, confessing, “Ciara, I remember you on that bull, I was like I’ma need to get some of that, that’s what I need, that’s what I need.”

“What, what the heck,” laughed Ciara at her Wilson’s confession. At the time of the music video’s release, BET allegedly banned the video on its signature countdown show 106 and Park due to its sexual content. It was also banned from all UK TV Channels. Despite this, the video sits at a healthy 200 million views on Youtube.

Addressing the backlash she faced over the visual, she explained, “My intention is always to do something as good as I can do it, to give my best effort and I always hope that it comes out the way that I envision it. You never necessarily think, ‘Oh, this is gonna get banned.”

As for Level Up Radio, Ciara aims to, “celebrate the definitive songs and sounds of modern R&B and share stories of her experience as an entrepreneur, mother, philanthropist, and an unstoppable entertainment force.”

Ciara and Russell Wilson also recently appeared on the cover of GQ’s lover’s edition.

Foogiano Threatens To Slap Trey Songz & His Security Over Renni Rucci

You could expect Trey Songz to live up to the R&B heartthrob persona he presented when he first entered the game. However, it does seem to get him in trouble from time to time with other women’s boyfriends. Last night, the rapper took to Instagram where he shared a thirst trap of Renni Rucci to his Instagram Story. Without a caption of explanation, Trey left room for assumptions and it seems that a few people, including Renni’s boyfriend, took it as the R&B singer shooting his shot.

Foogiano, who is currently locked up, wasn’t particularly pleased about Trey’s IG post. Though the rapper doesn’t have access to social media, his team seemingly shared two messages on his behalf. The first was a text post which reads, “Slap the shit out you when I get out @treysongz,” before signing off, “From The Mayor.”

A second video clip from Foogiano speaking from prison was also shared to his story and Foogiano expounded on these thoughts even further. “Trey, you a bitch. I’m gon’ slap the fuck out you when I catch you, boy. You better have a lot of security with you and I’ll slap the fuck out them, too, with yo old ass. Sangin ass n***a, you ain’t gon’ sing when I catch your bitch ass, boy,” he said.

New York Officials Have Agreed To Legalize Marijuana: Report

According to some updates from New York City officials and Governor Andrew Cuomo, the legalization of recreational marijuana is incredibly close to happening in New York. While the agreement is not official quite yet, Gov. Cuomo says he feels like they are “close” to finally legalizing cannabis. This would be a major move for New York as it would become the 16th state to fully legalize marijuana for recreational purposes.

If the law becomes official, adults 21 and older will be allowed to possess up to three ounces of cannabis for personal use. Growing marijuana would also be allowed for a period of time, noting, “Recreational smokers could even cultivate up to six plants each, or a dozen per household, but a big bummer in the agreement would make them wait to start growing their own until 18 months after the first dispensary opens.”

“This year we have to get it done, and getting it done by the time the budget is passed is essential,” said Gov. Andrew Cuomo. “Cannabis is not just social equity, it’s also revenue for the state… We’re close. Close three times before. If we were playing horseshoes, we would be in good shape. But this is not horseshoes. You either get it done and sign a bill, or you don’t.”

Future’s Going To Keep Fans Waiting For “HNDRXX 2”

It’s been over five years since Future went back-to-back with #1 albums on the Billboard 200. The release of his self-titled album was followed a week later with HNDRXXan R&B-induced body of work that found him diving deeper into this particular side of his artistry. It’s an album that many would consider his best body of work to date, especially since he hasn’t released a project similar to it since.

Over the past two years, Future has offered glimpses into the possibility of a sequel to HNDRXX being unleashed to the public. Yesterday, Cash from XO shared a screenshot of “My Collection” on his Instagram Story. “That’s how u feel,” Future wrote in a re-post before Cash indicated that he loves the album from top to bottom. “U think the fans ready for HNDRXX 2 or wait til next year?” Future wrote.

Unfortunately, it seems that Cash feels like the album is better for the coming year, instead of right now. Cash wrote back in response, “2022 is for HNDRXX 2.”

It looks like fans will have to sit tight for a bit for the next album. In the meantime, he did recently appear on Moneybagg Yo’s latest single, “Hard For The Next.” Bagg revealed that he was aiming to pull HNDRXX out of Future on this particular record.

“Right now, I told [Future], “We at the time, like, there’s so much going on in the world and it’s like, stuff is going off of feeling. The world is really in their feelings. It’s so much going on, to the point where — bro, we got to dig more into the melody side of this situation,” said Bagg in HNHH’s new digital cover story. “And I want HNDRXX, you got to give me that.”

Kel Mitchell Calls Cap On Deadbeat Dad Accusations

This week, Kel Mitchell’s ex-wife Tyisha Hampton accused him of owing her more than $1.2 million in back child support and spousal support. Hampton also alleged that Mitchell made $630,000 last year and purchased an $800,000 home, so he has no reason to not be paying her. Hampton has been using the hashtag #payyourexkel across Instagram to put him on blast, calling him a “deadbeat dad.” She’s also been posting videos to TikTok under the username @deadbeatdadkelmitchell.

“I’m no longer going to be a victim,” Hampton wrote. “I’m collecting everything I’m owed! If you are a fan of his, let him know #payyourex! You can’t be a man of God and not take care of your past responsibilities! You cannot continue being a hypocrite! Part 2 will explain how I went to jail for his IRS TAX debt! Yep, I’m spilling it all, until I get my money!”

On Friday, Kel seemingly clapped back at these claims, posting a video of the cap emoji alongside the song “Clout” by Offset. “They do anything for clout,” the video repeats. Kel called on the Bible in his caption, appearing to call his ex-wife a liar: “Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord, but those who act faithfully are his delight. (Proverbs 12:22 ) #teamJesus.”

What do you think, is Kel at fault here? Should he pay up? Check out all of Tyisha’s allegations below and let us know your thoughts in the comments.

Johnny Depp Responds To Judge’s Denial Of His Appeal In “Wife Beater’ Libel Case

Last week (March 20), we reported that Johnny Depp was seeking a retrial in his libel case against The Sun newspaper over an article that referred to the actor as a “wife-beater.” Losing the original case back in November of 2020, the basis of Depp’s appeal in court was that his ex-wife, who had pledged to donate $7 million of the divorce settlement to charity and was the star witness in the case, had failed to do so. Calling the donation story a “calculated and manipulative lie,” he aimed to discredit Heard as a witness in the retrial. Ultimately, the court disagreed and upheld the judge’s decision.

In a statement obtained by The Blast from the 57-year-old’s attorney Joelle Rich. “The evidence presented at last week’s hearing (the appeal of Mr. Depp vs. News Group Newspapers LTD) further demonstrates that there are clear and objective reasons to seriously question the decision reached in the UK court,” Rich says.

She adds, “Mr. Depp looks forward to presenting the complete, irrefutable evidence of the truth in the US libel case against Ms. Heard where she will have to provide full disclosure.”

Amber’s legal team also released a statement regarding Depp’s appeal getting denied, adding the actress was “pleased” and “not surprised” by the court’s decision.
Although the court disagreed with Depp’s legal argument, sources close to Depp continue to point to evidence that Heard is an unreliable witness. “It’s important to note again that Heard did not personally donate any money to the Children’s Hospital,” the source close to Depp told The Blast.
The source continued, “The hospital was paid $100k by [Depp] directly, but no further payments were made by Heard. Additionally, as Ms. Heard was not obligated to put forth all necessary documents, significant facts which strongly dispute the many false and unsubstantiated claims against Mr. Depp were dismissed or ignored.”
