The Game Under Fire For Chet Hanks Comment

It’s safe to say that after everything that happened this week, Tom Hanks is probably pretty embarrassed to be Chet Hanks’ father. If he wasn’t already slightly ashamed of his son, who regularly speaks in a fake Jamaican accent on social media, he definitely is after the 30-year-old actor was accused of domestic violence following his own accusations against his ex-girlfriend.

On Wednesday, Chet Hanks accused his ex-girlfriend Kiana Parker, a Black woman, of cutting his face open with a knife. A video was released via TMZ that showed the aftermath of the alleged attack. In her response, Parker said that she arrived at his home to move her things out and Chet was actually the one that threatened her with a knife. She grabbed a pan, seen in the video, to defend herself. She also accused Hanks of saying she’s “just a ghetto Black b*tch” and that no one would believe her story.

Nobody asked for his opinion on the matter but rapper The Game has officially weighed in with his take on the matter and he’s pissed a whole lot of people off with his comment. “Time to go back to Becky bro,” wrote Game, suggesting that Chet date a white woman next. “You might not be built for this level of anger.”

People are attacking Game in the comments of his own post for perpetuating the “angry Black woman” stereotype, warning him to stop spreading the narrative that all Black women have a bad temper. “Is he really the person labeling Black women as angry?” asked the top commenter.

We’ll continue to keep you updated on Chet Hanks’ situation, as well as the response to The Game’s comment. What do you think of what he said?

NLE Choppa Celebrates His Prison Release With The ‘Beat Box (First Day Out)’ Freestyle

Every day, more and more rappers are hopping on the viral “Beat Box” challenge. It’s essentially a way for artists to flex their lyricism while offering their own interpretation of SpotemGottem’s “Beat Box” beat. So far, rappers like Mulatto, DaBaby, Polo G, and Lil Yachty have hopped on the trend. Now, NLE Choppa offers up his own version of the viral challenge while also celebrating his recent release from prison with “Beat Box (First Day Out).”

Over SpotemGottem’s recognizable beat, Choppa asserts his dominance with each boastful lyric. Choppa’s “Beat Box (First Day Out)” arrives alongside a fast-paced video, the filming process of which apparently saw some hiccups. It closes out with a clip of the rapper and his crew fleeing a car that they had crashed into the side of the road while on camera. Even still, the video is a way for the rapper to celebrate that he’s currently out of jail on bail.

Earlier this week and ahead of the “Beat Box” filming, the 18-year-old was arrested in Florida on suspicion of burglary, carrying a concealed firearm, and possession of drugs including Xanax and weed. He was taken into Broward County Sherrif’s Office in Fort Lauderdale and his bail was set at $4,500, which he was able to pay shortly after his arrest.

Choppa is looking to make the most of his legal situation, however. Along with dropping “Beat Box (First Day Out)” as an anthem for his freedom, the rapper announced a line of merch that is printed with his most recent mug shot.

NLE Choppa is a Warner Music artist. Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group.

T.I. & Tiny Accused Of Rape & Sex Trafficking By 2 More Alleged Victims: Report

It’s beginning to get pretty difficult to defend T.I. and Tiny, real names Clifford and Tameka Harris, as more people accuse them of sex trafficking, drugging, rape, and other unspeakable things. On Thursday, a report from Vulture claimed that two more women came forward to accuse the couple of sex trafficking and rape, placing the total of people making allegations against T.I. and Tiny in the dozens.

The first of their new accusers, who is represented by attorney Tyrone A. Blackburn, claims that she was sex trafficked in three different states by T.I. and Tiny. She says she was “drugged and forced to take tons of molly and X” before being trafficked in Nevada and Florida when she was 32. This allegedly took place in 2010.

The second woman making allegations against T.I. and Tiny says she was “raped by Clifford Harris and one of his male friends in a hotel in Miami, Florida, in May of 2010.” She was allegedly 20-years-old at the time of her rape.

A third victim has reportedly identified themselves and is in the process of speaking with investigators.

T.I. and Tiny have not responded to the most recent batch of allegations. In an earlier statement on the matter, their attorney said, “Clifford (T.I.) and Tameka Harris deny in the strongest possible terms these unsubstantiated and baseless allegations. We are confident that if these claims are thoroughly and fairly investigated, no charges will be forthcoming.”

The Harrises have been accused by over thirty women.

We will keep you posted as more information is released.

Nas & Hit-Boy Recreate EPMD Album Covers In The “EPMD” Music Video

The award-winning film Judas and the Black Messiah hit theatres and HBO Max earlier this year to vast critical acclaim, but in addition to the hype surrounding the Daniel Kaluuya and LaKeith Stanfield-starring film, Judas and the Black Messiah‘s soundtrack arrived to just as much fanfare. The stacked album featured artists such as Jay-Z, Nipsey Hussle, J.I.D., Smino, H.E.R., and G Herbo, yet the Nas and Hit-Boy collaboration “EPMD” remains as one of the standout tracks. Today, the Grammy-winning duo returns to unleash its stunning new music video.

The video starts with an artistic intro that appears to draw inspiration from the likes of Black filmmakers such as Spike Lee and Jordan Peele, as the opening sequence features a dramatic orchestral arrangement while powerful pro-Black messages appear on the screen. “Reclaim our cultural ownership,” “Don’t compromise,” “Don’t cross over,” and “Respect to the kings, Love to the queens,” all flash on the screen before a young woman is seen screaming “Wake Up!,” School Daze-style.

From that point on, the music video fully begins, as the hard-hitting beat for “EPMD” starts to roll in. Throughout the video, Nas and Hit-Boy recreate looks from classic EMPD — the veteran Hip-Hop duo that the song’s hook is based on — album covers, including 1989’s Unfinished Business and 1992’s Business Never Personal.

In addition to the references to EPMD, Nas and Hit-Boy‘s new music video boasts a bevy of beautifully shot scenes, making for an incredible visual offering from the unstoppable duo and serving as yet another victory lap for the recent Grammy winners.

Scroll back up to the top and check out the loaded visuals for Nas and Hit-Boy’s Judas and the Black Messiah soundtrack collaboration “EPMD.”

Lil Yachty Kicks YBN Nahmir While He’s Down On April Fool’s Day

YBN Nahmir took a risk and, unfortunately, it didn’t pay off. He hasn’t lost his spirit though. The 21-year-old rapper continues to push forward after scoring a low first week of sales for his latest studio album Visionland. As reported by DJ Akademiks and other sources, the album struggled to pull 4,000 sales in its first week, paling in comparison to folks like Rod Wave, who are pushing 150,000 copies

All week, YBN Nahmir has been getting trolled for his album’s poor performance, as well as for his new song “Soul Train”, which sees him trying out a different style. Many of Nahmir’s fans have joked and told the rapper that it’s the worst song they’ve ever heard from him. The joke has gotten so intense that even Lil Yachty is participating, using April Fool’s Day as an excuse to roast Nahmir.

“Soul train is [fire],” wrote Lil Yachty on Twitter. Minutes later, he posted a screenshot of the date and added, “Smh I’m sorry I couldn’t even let that tweet breath.” For what it’s worth, YBN Nahmir seemingly had a laugh from Yachty’s sarcastic troll. “Not even gone lie, this was the funniest sh*t I seen all year,” he replied with a crying face emoji.

YBN Nahmir previously said that before his song “Opp Stoppa” went viral on TikTok, he considered quitting rap. Despite how people have reacted to his new album, he doesn’t seem to be keen on slowing down anytime soon, posting a picture with YBN Almighty Jay and asking him if he wants to team back up to release new music together.
