Southside Checks Uzi Over Yung Miami IG Live: “I’mma Punch Your Teeth Out”

After the day that Southside had, it’s clear he doesn’t have time for foolishness. The 808 Mafia producer was at odds with his father on Thursday (April 1) after his dad jumped on Instagram and slew a string of insults toward his son. Southside responded to the allegations of neglect and abuse, but before he could put that drama behind him, he was back online delivering a strong message to Lil Uzi Vert.

In the past, Yung Miami has joked that Uzi has cussed her out, but fans watched a tense moment go down in real-time on Instagram Live. In a clip that has gone viral, Uzi and Yung Miami seem to be at odds and she told him that they don’t have to be friends. “It ain’t even about that though,” said Uzi. “You know me. I ain’t ever got to see you just like you ain’t never got to see me.”

Uzi went onto brag about how he’s running things and when JT attempted to interrupt him, he told her to shut up and added if he told her to kiss him, she would do it. Yung Miami looked as if she was over the conversation, but Southside later let his voice be heard. “I’mma say this one time. Ay, Uzi, don’t address none to my b*tch, my n*gga,” Southside said in a video shared online. “You handle your b*tch, n*gga, you stay on your side.”

“You got one more time to say somethin’,” he continued. “I promise you I’mma punch your teeth out your mouth. Don’t say nothin’ else, n*gga… If you don’t like my b*tch, don’t like my b*tch. Let them do them… Stay the little weirdo you is, keep rockin’ purses, keep doin’ that b*tch sh*t you doin’.”

The interactions sparked a conversation on Twitter where JT denied any animosity and said Lil Uzi Vert was just joking around. Watch the videos and read through a few tweets below.

They don’t gotta give us our credit, we proud of ourselves
My daughters won’t grow up like me, we fathered ourselves
This the type of sh*t that I’m really on
Forgive me for fallin’ out with friends I got too busy for
Made me take the Rollie off, put the Richard Millie on

Freddie Gibbs Proves He’s The ‘Big Boss Rabbit’ Through His Assertive New Video

Last month, Freddie Gibbs went into the 2021 Grammys Awards as many fans’ favorite to win the Best Rap Album category thanks to his Alfredo album with The Alchemist. Unfortunately for both, the award would go to Nas and his King’s Disease. While a number of his supporters were disappointed with the pick, Freddie had nothing but jokes to let off about the decision. His nonchalance towards the loss can be found once again on his new track, “Big Boss Rabbit.”

Regarding the matter, he raps, “Grammy after party but we rock it like we won the b*tch.” The song was also released with a video that sees Freddie rapping with extreme confidence in all corners of his house as he totes a shotgun, records music with friends, and enjoys the company of strippers.

“Big Boss Rabbit” is just the latest single Freddie’s released since dropping Alfredo. Back in October, he linked with Big Sean and Hit-Boy for their “4 Thangs” which arrived with a video that present Freddie and Sean as a championship-winning basketball duo. In the new year he tapped Schoolboy Q for their relaxed “Gang Signs” collaboration. The three tracks could appear on the rapper’s upcoming solo project, which he partnered with Warner Records to release when the time comes.

Check out the video to “Big Boss Rabbit” above.

Freddie Gibbs is a Warner Music artist. Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group.

Lil Uzi Vert Assists On Posthumous FXXXY Single “Yeah Kool”

We received sad news back in September when we learned that FXXXXY passed away at the young age of 25. The rapper-producer was one of Future’s artists and was on his way up when he reportedly lost his life due to complications while undergoing a medical procedure. Six months later, FXXXY’s music lives on with his posthumous single “Yeah Kool” featuring Lil Uzi Vert.

The pair share bars on the Supah Mario production where they speak on their come-up and why they deserve attention. We’re not sure what the late Dallas rapper’s team has in store for the future, but we’ll keep you updated as soon as we know. Following his death, FXXXXY’s family issued a statement where they expressed their shock about his passing and gratitude to those who supported them through a difficult time.

“We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to his many friends and acquaintances who’ve reached out to us in this extremely difficult time. He lived music with every breath he took and his focus and drive were unmatched. May his contributions to the music industry live forever. CC 4 Life!” Stream “Yeah Kool” and let us know what you think.

Quotable Lyrics

The n*ggas they f*ckin’ get fired from Denny’s

If you were silent, would’ve listened (Yeah)
Check my streams, if I said it, I meant it (Yeah)

BROCKHAMPTON Cruises Through “COUNT ON ME” With Help From A$AP Rocky & SoGone SoFlexy

The last album we received from BROCKHAMPTON was GINGER, their 2019 release that they claimed was much-inspired by actor Shia LaBeouf. The collective of rappers is slated to share two projects this year and according to Kevin Abstract, it will mark the “last” of their albums as they close out an era. It’s unclear what they each have in store following their conclusion, but we’re sure BROCKHAMPTON fans will continue to support them.

Next week, BROCKHAMPTON is slated to release their album ROADRUNNER: NEW LIGHT, NEW MACHINE. On Friday (April 2), the crew shared their second single of the year, “COUNT ON ME,” and this time they gathered assistance from A$AP Rocky and SoGone SoFlexy. Abstract described the song as having “summer time vibes” and encouraged listeners to “Ride around with the windows down with ya best friend singing super loud to the chorus type vibe – shows the other side of the album.” Stream “COUNT ON ME” and let us know what you think.

Quotable Lyrics

She say I pour too much in my cup
F*ck the opposition, plus I’m still ridin’ with it tucked
They say I should change the way I’m livin’
But just can’t get enough
Still be quick to up that chopper on the block and hit ’em up
