Verzuz Pits The Isley Brothers Against Earth, Wind, & Fire Tonight: Watch

The Isley Brothers and Earth, Wind, and Fire are about to give Verzuz fans a night to remember. To celebrate Easter, Timbaland and Swizz Beatz are offering up a Verzuz battle packed with legends. Two of the most worshipped groups in soul and R&B will be facing off for the viral social media tournament series. 

The Verzuz lineup was announced last month, however, there are still some mystery spots on the list. We know Redman and Method Man will be doing a 4/20 Verzuz special, however Ladies Night, Rematch Night, and a few others are still up in the air. 

This Isley Brothers and Earth, Wind, and Fire matchup will be different, with Swizz and Timbaland bringing in a host this time around. Who else but Steve Harvey could host such a historic Verzuz on Easter Sunday?

Both of these groups have some heat to bring to the table. Earth, Wind & Fire can toll our “September,” “Let’s Groove,” “Boogie Wonderland,” and “Shining Star,” along with several other hits. Justin Bieber Drops Surprise EP “Freedom” For Easter Sunday

Talk about work ethic. Justin Bieber surprised fans on Easter Sunday with a new EP entitled Freedom. The six-track EP comes right on the heels of his sixth studio album Justice, which debuted just last month. A bonus edition to that project, with six new songs, dropped just two weeks ago. This man is grinding.

Freedom features appearances from Brandon Love, Chandler Moore, Pink Sweats, Judah Smith, Tori Kelly, and Lauren Walters. As expected from an Easter project, the album is strongly Christian. The Weeknd Donated $1 Million To Aid Relief Efforts In Ethiopia

The Weeknd is known to be philanthropic. Last summer he donated $1 million to pandemic relief, half of which went to his hometown of Scarborough and the other to MusiCares. Nearly a year later, the After Hours singer has lent another million, this time towards relief efforts in Ethiopia, the birth country of his parents.

In a statement to his social media pages, wrote, “My heart breaks for my people of Ethiopia as innocent civilians ranging from small children to the elderly are being senselessly murdered and entire villages are being displaced out of fear and destruction.” The singer added that the donation would provide “2 million meals through the United Nations World Food Programme and encourage those who can to please give as well.” The conflict in the East African country stems from tensions between the government in Addis Abada and the Tigray region.

The donation comes after The Weeknd hosted an NFT auction to sell an unreleased song. Prior to that he dropped a video for his 2018 track “Try Me” to celebrate the three-year anniversary of his My Dear Melancholy. Earlier this year, he also announced a boycott of the Grammys, citing their use of what he called “secret committees.” His decision prompted the awards body to announce they were trying to “improve our awards process, including the nomination review committees.”

MC Bravado is back with a new single for the warmer months. Just as the Winter leaves up behind, MC Bravado come through with “Yeah Baby,” a jumpy, catchy vibe that is sure to keep you nodding. The instrumental, constructed by Brandeezie, is comprised of a wacky-sounding synth that permeates the air around you. The weird sound has a unique feel to it as it slaps around the percussions. 

MC Bravado employs different flows on this one, and opts to rap about a multitude of subjects instead of sticking to a theme. The fun track fits in perfectly with the Springtime, giving listeners some energy and life after a dreary Winter.

“MLB The Show 21” Coming To Xbox Game Pass On Launch Date

MLB The Show has long been an exclusive title for PlayStation. However, this year’s rendition will finally make its way over to the competitor, Xbox. Although we already knew that MLB The Show 21 would arrive on Xbox, we didn’t know that Microsoft would pull a move like this. In an effort to offer their gamers added value, MLB The Show 21 will be available on game day through Xbox Game Pass. 

Xbox Game Pass is essentially Netflix for video games. For a monthly fee, you have access to thousands of Xbox games. Games like the Halo series, Gear of War, various Call of Duty titles, and more are all available on Game Pass. Now, those with Game Pass will be able to play MLB The Show 21 for no added cost. 

PlayStation 5 is currently outselling the Xbox Series X|S, however, things may change rapidly. At first, it was believed that Microsoft’s acquisition of Bethesda would still allow Sony users to play games made by that company. That idea has since been shut down, with all signs pointing to Xbox/PC exclusives for all Bethesda titles moving forward. Currently, Madden, NBA2K, and NHL are all on Xbox Game Pass as well. 

Kodak Black & Southside Beef Heats Back Up After Online Call-Out

Things had settled down between Kodak Black and Southside, but all that changed this weekend. On Easter Sunday, Southside took to his Instagram Story to take shots at Kodak. “Yak, you still a bitch,” spat the talented producer on social media “We can bump, too,” he continued. “I’ll be back in Miami in a week. Pull up wherever we can bump. Don’t bring no security.” His energy was fierce. 

Although it’s uncertain how this beef got reignited, we do know Kodak and Southside have been beefing over Yung Miami for a minute. Kodak was in a relationship with Yung Miami, however, when he went to jail in 2019, she and Southside conceived a child. At that point, Kodak dissed Yung Miami in a jail-house freestyle, rapping, “I bought Yung Miami a ring, she wanted 808 baby/ When I see her I’ma hit that bitch in her stomach/The way I keep my shit too real, they say I’m fucking up my money.” Kodak apologized after the issue went viral.

Southside responded on Instagram, saying, “Hey, somebody tell Kodak suck a dick. How ’bout that? Get out of jail first, pussy.” Southside has also been beefing with Lil Uzi Vert as of late.
