Explaining the incident where the rapper held a gun to her head, she explained, “I wanted to leave. I was trying to leave.” She continued,  “I had pepper sprayed him one day, really bad. He tried to take a shower. And it f***ed him up really bad. I want to say it was the same day. He had charged at me. So I pepper sprayed him. I had it under my pillow.”

She continued, “His barber came after our whole little incident. So I said, ‘I know this n****’s haircuts take like an hour.’ I’m trying make sure he couldn’t see me from certain mirrors. And I packed my bag. It’s a crazy situation to try to get out of. So I was just sitting there, watching, watching, watching. He hadn’t moved. He didn’t get up for nothing. I got up, got my bag. I walked down stairs. And I felt him press it [the gun] against the back of my head. And I just sat down. I sat on the steps for a couple of hours. He was sitting behind me.”

“With the gun?” Tasha K asked, to which Riley replied, “Yeah. And he had friends there that would sit there and watch him. Nobody ever said anything. It was just crazy. It was something that was private and just us, if we were home. But if his friends were there, he didn’t care.”

This is not the only time Soulja Boy has been accused of acting violently towards women. He is currently facing a lawsuit from a woman alleging he sexually assaulted her, among other violent actions.

Beyoncé Releases Heartfelt Tribute Video For Social Media Star Lyric Chanel

In the early hours of Friday morning, social media sensation Lyric Chanel passed away at age 13 after a long and difficult battle with brain cancer and Anaplastic Ependymoma. Prior to her passing she had undergone four brain surgeries as well as countless other procedures. Lyric was often regarded as a pillar of strength, resilience, and positivity on social media due to her ability to keep her head up through even the most difficult times. Her upbeat, carefree attitude is one of the many reasons why she was so adored by celebrities like Beyoncé and Cardi B.

Lyric made it known that she was a big Beyoncé fan and Bey would always come through for her, often offering her gifts from Ivy Park or personalized mail. After hearing of Lyric’s passing, Beyoncé created a heartfelt tribute for her that was posted as an unlisted video on YouTube as well as on her website.

In the video, Beyoncé sings a medley of her own songs, including “Brown Skin Girl,” “Halo,” and “Love On Top.” Pictures and videos of Lyric play alongside the music, with Beyoncé writing the message, “Rest in peace Lyric Chanel.” “I love you with all my heart,” Beyoncé says at the very end of the video. Many fans noted how touching it was that Bey sang all of the songs herself for Lyric’s tribute rather than just remixing them.

Rest in peace, Lyric.

Kith To Donate Proceeds From Biggie Collection To Select Brooklyn Schools

Popular street-style brand Kith has recently announced that it will donate a good portion of the proceeds from its upcoming Kith for The Notorious B.I.G. collection to six Brooklyn schools. The collaboration is a charitable partnership with the Christopher Wallace Estate, and the company has just unveiled more exclusive details about the upcoming partnership.

The brand revealed on Wednesday (March 3), that it plans to donate all the money earned from its upcoming Biggie collection to six different schools in Brooklyn, which is where the legendary rapper was born and grew up. The funds will be for supplying the schools with “books, technology, software, furniture, food and more,” according to Kith. The schools that will receive the charitable donation are as follows: Dr. Ronald E. McNair Public School 5, Research & Service High School, Stephen Decatur Middle School 35, Crispus Attucks Elementary Public School 21, Madiba Prep Middle School, and MS 267 – Math, Science & Technology.

“We’re doing this with the hope that we can continue to spread BIG’s positive impact to the future generations of his home borough,” announced Kith via Instagram. They announced the donation earlier in the year as part of its efforts for diversity and inclusion initiatives. They’ve additionally used their platform for uplifting Black creators and promoting minority-owned businesses.

“I always pictured Kith as a medium to bring my childhood dreams to life. What I’ve realized is that using the brand as a platform to create change is more important than anything I ever dreamed of accomplishing,” said Kith founder Ronnie Fieg back in January. “I’ve worked on changing what we do as company and added the responsibility of giving back to a culture that has constantly influenced and inspired me. Not just now, but indefinitely.”

Kyle Kuzma Gives His Take On Drake & Rick Ross’ “Lemon Pepper Freestyle”

Drake delivered for his fans on Friday as he gave them a teaser to his new album Certified Lover Boy. This effort was a 3-track EP called Scary Hours 2 and so far, fans are agreeing that the best track here is “Lemon Pepper Freestyle” which features the likes of Rick Ross. The two artists trade bars and deliver their signature chemistry, which has gotten many supporters excited for what’s supposed to come with Drake’s next full-length project.

NBA players were especially taken aback by the effort, including Kyle Kuzma who immediately took to Twitter to give his take on “Lemon Pepper Freestyle.” In true NBA player fashion, Kuzma compared Drake and Ross to two legends of the basketball world. Of course, we are talking about Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen.

Jordan and Pippen are the most legendary duo in the history of the NBA, so it makes sense why Kuzma would want to jump to this conclusion. Of course, LeBron James had something to say about this, however, as the Los Angeles Lakers superstar noted that he believes Ross and Drake are more like Steph Curry and Kevin Durant.

It’s hard to disagree with either of these players and as CLB draws closer, we’re sure the comparisons will keep on coming.

Memo600 & Lil Uzi Vert Lock In On “Let It Blow”

It’s been a long time coming but Lil Durk is receiving the credit he deserves for all the years of work he’s put in. From his days with Coke Boyz to his departure from Def Jam to now, establishing himself as a household name and bring the OTF crew with him. Riding off of the success of The Voice, as well as its deluxe release, he quickly followed that project up with Only The Family Presents: Loyal Bros.

Stacked with 23 tracks in total mainly consisting of appearances from members and affiliates (like Tee Grizzley), Memo600 and Lil Uzi Vert connect on “Let It Blow.” Memo600 slides through with a villainous and vengeful flow true to Chicago’s drill sound for the hook before Uzi’s malleable flow dodges in and out of melodies on his verse. Memo closes out the track with imagery of violence and paranoia reflecting the environment of Chicago’s South Side.

Quotable Lyrics
Fuck n***a get to tweakin’ in this bitch, you can catch a hollow
Thot bitch eat the skeet, she a lil’ freak, told the bitch to swallow
Fucked it off on guns, now I’m tryna buy my block like Ralo
Big stepper in this bitch, I just pulled up like I just hit the lotto
