Quando Rondo Tells Angela Yee About King Von’s Shooting

During the first part of his tell-all interview with Angela Yee, Quando Rondo reveals his account of what happened right before King Von was fatally shot a few months ago.

The first part of the interview dropped on Monday, featuring Quando’s account of what happened on the night King Von was killed. As you likely know, Von was involved in a physical altercation in the parking lot of an Atlanta-area hookah lounge with Quando Rondo, allegedly throwing a punch before getting shot. Quando is telling his side of the story now that the situation is a few months old, recalling what went down in his eyes.

“I walked to the car, I tell my brother, I said, ‘it’s this amount to park right here’. I said, ‘I’m not going in the club. Find you a lil female or whatever, you got fifteen minutes. Then I’m dipping. We bout to go to the house,'” said Quando, recalling how his friend who was recently released from prison just wanted to turn up that night. “Lul Tim told me, ‘I’m not about to let you get in no club, I’m not about to let you sit in no car and go to sleep. I’m bout to sit in here and roll up.’ I’m like, ‘alright, bet.’ Now I’m about to walk off and go stand by the other individual that I came with. I’m going to stand by his car until they parked. Soon as they parked, we were gonna park right next to this car cause this is a $250,000 car. I’ma stand right here till they get right here. Soon as they do that, I’m getting in the backseat and I’m going to sleep. I’m with my day-one, my main mans. I can do this. One thing about him, he gone protect me, with anything, which anybody should do!

I walk from the car, I turn around to walk up and I see a group of people coming. In my mind, I’m just thinking regular, in reality. I’m about to let these people walk past me. I’m not about to try and go through these people or nothing like that. I’m thinking these were some regular individuals. So I’m letting this group come by. Next thing you know, [King Von] hit me! I lie to you not. It’s like I had an out-of-body experience.”

Money Mu & Pooh Shiesty Deliver High Energy On “Problem”

Atlanta’s Money Mu has been rumbling the streets with bangers. Collaborations alongside major names like Lil Durk, Moneybagg Yo, and Renni Rucci have cemented him as an up-and-comer to keep an eye out for, especially with the backing of powerhouse production team Nard & B who produced 2019’s Still Believing.

With the remix to “I’m Sayin'” with rising hip-hop power couple Renni Rucci and Foogiano still in rotation, he emerged on Friday with a brand new single alongside another 1017 signee, Pooh Shiesty. Together, they deliver a high-octane banger titled, “Problem.” The monstrous production brings similar cinematic elements to sounds you’d hear in UK drill but their heavy and concise flows dominate with details of violence and luxury.

DMX’s Autobiography Returns To Bestsellers Lists After His Death

In the wake of DMX’s death Friday, the rapper’s music is not only once again the center of discourse among hip-hop fans, but his autobiography has returned to bestsellers lists. DMX first released E.A.R.L.: The Autobiography of DMX, in 2003 with The Source‘s Smokey D. Fontaine, receiving a glowing review in Publishers Weekly on publication. Today, it’s No. 1 on Amazon in Rap & Hip-Hop Musician Biographies and according to Billboard, has reached the Top 50 chart of biographies overall.

DMX is no stranger to the top of the charts, but it’s usually the music charts. In 1998, he became the second rapper to have consecutive albums released in the same calendar year reach No. 1 on the Billboard 200 twice in the same year when his second album Flesh Of My Flesh, Blood Of My Blood entered the chart at the top spot, just seven months after his debut It’s Dark And Hell Is Hot accomplished the same feat. The first was one of DMX’s inspirations, Tupac.

Over the weekend, news of DMX’s death was met with an outpouring of loving posts from NBA players, tributes and jokes on SNL, and reminisces from fans about his endearing presence in the 2003 fighting game Def Jam Vendetta.

Cardi B And Reebok Reveal Their Upcoming ‘Summertime Fine’ Sportwear Collection

Cardi B and Reebok have teamed up again for a new collection of sportswear launching later this month, taking inspiration from the Coney Island boardwalk, beach workouts, and 1980s aerobic looks. The “Summertime Fine Collection” will be available beginning April 23 on Reebok.com.

Reebok’s blog has more details about the upcoming collection, including its emphasis on catering to Cardi’s fans. Product Manager Molly Kazarian says, “Today’s consumer is not down with BS. They see through brands. With the Cardi B shoe collection, it’s clear she didn’t do it for a check. After collaborating with her, we ultimately just let her be herself. Cardi was really specific about how she wanted the collection to be accessible. Accessibility is clearly important to her, and you can see this everywhere from sizing to the price point.”

The collection includes bodysuits, leggings, and cropped sweatshirts right out of the ’80s episode of WandaVision, in bold colors that reflect Cardi’s own vibrant aesthetic. There will also be new colorways of Cardi’s redesigned Club C shoes for both adults and toddlers — a nod to her own toddler, Kulture, who often gets dressed up in outfits mirroring her fashion icon mom’s.

You can check out a few of the looks below and find more at Reebok.com.
