DJ Khaled Updates His ‘Khaled Khaled’ Tracklist: ‘Cardi B Vocals Is In!’

When DJ Khaled teased the tracklist for his upcoming album Khaled Khaled, he quipped that not only was the project “100% done,” but that it might be “101% done.” Although fans might have just chalked it up to standard Khaled enthusiasm, it turned out he had one more surprise up his sleeve. Returning to social media just hours before the album’s release, Khaled revealed that he’d updated the already star-studded tracklist with one more big name: Cardi B.

“UPDATED TRACKLISTING ALERT!!,” he wrote. “CARDI B VOCALS IS IN!! ALBUM 101% DONE!!!!” Cardi will appear on a song called “Big Paper,” her first collaboration with Khaled since Father Of Asahd‘s “Wish Wish” with 21 Savage. This time, it looks like she’ll appear solo.

The news may put paid to speculation that Beyonce was also set to appear as a surprise guest on the Jay-Z and Nas collaboration “Sorry Not Sorry” with James Fauntleroy and Harmonies By The Hive — although “Harmonies By The Hive” could still just turn out to be Beyonce, considering her fan club’s unofficial nickname. In honor of the collab between Jay-Z and Nas — their fourth after “Successful,” “Dead Presidents,” and “I Do It For Hip-Hop” from Ludacris’ Theater Of The Mind — Jay curated a playlist of Nas’s greatest songs for Tidal.

Khaled Khaled is due 4/30 via Epic Records.

Jay-Z Curates A TIdal Playlist Dedicated To His Former Rival, Nas

Jay-Z and Nas are two of the last Golden Era veterans still standing with the same level of mainstream recognition as younger successors and proteges, as evidenced by their presence on DJ Khaled’s upcoming album Khaled Khaled. However, despite their longevity in the game, they only have a handful of tracks together; their Khaled collaboration “Sorry Not Sorry” will only be the fourth time they’ve actually worked on a song together, as opposed to one or the other being added after the fact. You would think they didn’t like each other or something.

To commemorate their latest conjunction of talents, Jay-Z is using one of his infamous Tidal playlists to pay tribute to his fellow King of New York contender. The playlist, titled “Curated By The God Hov,” places many of Nas’s standout performances, from his 1994 debut Illmatic all the way up to his Grammy-winning 2020 album King’s Disease, in one place. Some of Nas’s most famed guest verses appear as well, including his standout rap from Raekwon’s “Verbal Intercourse,” his label beef-defying cameo on Kanye West’s “We Major,” and the cross-coastal posse cut “Phone Tap” with The Firm.

You can check out the playlist below, and keep your eyes peeled for Jay and Nas’s video for “Sorry Not Sorry” from Khaled Khaled later tonight.

Conor McGregor’s Elderly Rival Reacts To Being Banned From Star’s Pub

Conor McGregor is a controversial figure who has made a lot of mistakes throughout his career. One of them came back in 2019 after it was revealed that McGregor had punched an elderly man at a pub in Ireland called Marble Arch. The man’s name is Desmond Keogh and at the time, McGregor apologized and tried to make amends.

Now, however, McGregor appears to be taking a much pettier route. This past week, it was announced that McGregor had actually gone back to Ireland and purchased the Marble Arch Pub for himself. In fact, McGregor took it all one step further and banned Keogh from ever entering the bar again.

The Irish Mirror eventually reached out to Keogh, who gave his take on the matter and whether or not he’s offended by the gesture.

“I’m not really concerned because I probably wouldn’t be going back to it now,” Keogh said. “I wouldn’t be going back anyway, probably especially now. I wouldn’t want to be spending money in his pub, to be honest.”

Needless to say, McGregor doesn’t seem to care if he offends anyone, and he has no issue with being petty when the situation calls for it. However, it is a little odd that a UFC fighter of his stature would try to hold a grudge against an elderly man.

Bas & J. Cole Repped The Ville On “My N***a Just Made Bail”

Alas, this is not a new collaboration from Bas and J. Cole, as some of you eager travelers have possibly expected. Understandable given Bas’ recent revelation that J. Cole’s Off-Season album was only a few weeks away. Yet that’s not to say there isn’t a milestone occasion worth celebrating, as Bas’ 2014 release Last Winter has officially turned seven as of today.

In honor of the big anniversary, as well as Bas’ role in sparking up a wave of hype for his label boss J. Cole, it feels appropriate to highlight one of their beloved duets “My N***a Just Made Bail.”

A feel-good song in every sense, the uptempo track finds both of the Dreamville emcees showcasing their creative chemistry as equals. That’s not to say Cole doesn’t inject a little bit of healthy competition into the mix, especially when he gets to spitting the “New Slaves” rhyme scheme. Still, Bas’ easygoing and dexterous approach makes him that rare sort of naturally likable emcee, and we can only hope to see the pair reuniting on The Off-Season. After all, they have yet to miss.

Happy anniversary to Bas’ Last Winter. Have you been keeping this one in steady rotation?

Adidas Yeezy Foam Runner Surfaces In “Ochre:” First Look

One of the more polarizing shoes coming out of the Yeezy camp right now is the Adidas Yeezy Foam Runner. The shoe is known for looking like a giant pair of space crocs, however, you can’t deny that people still enjoy these. Most Yeezy shoes sell for over $200 and considering these cost only $80, it should be no surprise that there are people out there who would be hyped up to get these.

A plethora of new colorways have been shown off over the past few months and now, Yeezy Mafia has unveiled yet another offering. This time, the shoe has been dubbed “Ochre” and in the photos below, you can see how the shoe has a solid mustard yellow upper. The colorway is fairly simple and overall, what you see is what you get. You either love this shade or you hate it, but no matter what, it is probably going to sell out instantly.

For now, no release date has been revealed although these are expected to drop in July, so keep it locked to HNHH as we will be sure to bring you all of the latest updates. In the meantime, let us know in the comments below what you think of these.

DJ Khaled Adds Last Minute Cardi B Feature To “Khaled Khaled”

It was supposed to be a wrap. DJ Khaled’s Khaled Khaled album was officially unveiled yesterday, an unsurprisingly stacked project featuring appearances from Lil Wayne, Lil Baby, Lil Durk, Migos, H.E.R, Megan Thee Stallion, DaBaby, Post Malone, Justin Bieber, 21 Savage, Rick Ross, Big Sean, Nas, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, Jay-Z,  Justin Timberlake,  Drake, Buju Banton, Diddy, and more. And while many were rightfully eager to see the project landing this Friday, it wouldn’t be a DJ Khaled release without a little bit of late-game antics.

Taking to Twitter to share a typically amusing video, Khaled reenacted his revelation that the Cardi B vocals were indeed in, better late than never. Despite being in the midst of copping a piece of multi-million dollar jewelry, Khaled found himself so overcome with gleeful exuberance that he beelined straight for the pool and dove with a startling amount of grace.

“CARDI B VOCALS IS IN!!” he declares, promising to adjust Khaled Khaled accordingly. “101%%% JAMIE UPDATE THE TRACKLIST NOW!!!! #KHALEDKHALED TONIGHT MIDNIGHT!!!” Now, the updated tracklist has arrived, with Khaled making room for “Big Paper” featuring Cardi B. Perhaps this was his plan all along, with the intention to spark a little bit of extra hype before the big release. Who knows, given how sharp a marketing mastermind Khaled has proven himself to be.

Either way, the updated tracklist can be seen below, which means we’ll be seeing some new Cardi B music by the time the clock strikes twelve. Check out Khaled’s skit for the full experience, and sound off if you’re excited to see what the affable mogul has been cooking up for his twelfth studio album.

Trevor Lawrence Signs Endorsement Deal With Adidas

Trevor Lawrence will be drafted into the NFL tonight and in the eyes of many, he should be the first overall pick. The Jacksonville Jaguars are going to have that selection and it’s clear that they are in need of a franchise quarterback with Lawrence’s skillset. As for Lawrence himself, he has been looking to sign as many endorsement deals as possible as a way to up his profile and become a household name.

Lawrence recently signed with Blockfolio which is a cryptocurrency app devoted to tracking crypto investments. Now, Lawrence has signed with a more traditional brand as he will be joining the three stripes.

“I’ve always been a fan of Adidas and I’m excited to join the team as I take the next step in my career,” Lawrence said via Sole Collector. “Adidas’ brand attitude of ‘Impossible Is Nothing’ is a message that really resonates with me both on and off the field. We are building for the future and I can’t wait to see what lies ahead with this partnership.”

Adidas has a ton of great athletes on their roster and Lawrence will be yet another. Patrick Mahomes is perhaps the biggest quarterback signed to Adidas and with Lawrence on board, there is no denying that have one of the strongest athlete rosters in all of football.

Cardi B, Megan Thee Stallion & Saweetie Are BBMA Finalists For Top Rap Female Artist

The 2021 Billboard Music Awards are roughly one month away, and today, the last round of finalists is being announced via Billboard Music Awards — The List Live. Previous finalists for awards like the Top Hot 100 Artist and Top Latin Male Artist have already been announced, revealing that DaBaby, Drake, Dua Lipa, Pop Smoke, and The Weeknd will all be competing in the former category.

Another category of finalists that has been already announced is the small group of artists nominated for the Top Rap Female Artist award, which includes beloved femcees such as Cardi B, Megan Thee Stallion, and Saweetie.

According to AllHipHop, the winner in the tight race between Cardi, Meg, and Saweetie will be determined by fan interactions such as album and digital song sales, streaming, radio airplay, and social engagement. Furthermore, Billboard will reportedly crown the victor after analyzing chart information from March 21, 2020 through April 3, 2021, making it a strictly number-based competition rather than a match-up based on the quality of their music.

Fans of Cardi B, Megan Thee Stallion, and Saweetie will be able to see who will take home the title of Top Rap Female Artist when the 2021 Billboard Music Awards air live from Los Angeles on May 23 at 8:00 p.m. EST.

What other female rappers do you think should also deserve to have been named a finalist for the highest female rap award at the Billboard Music Awards?

Rod Wave Covers Drake’s “Over My Dead Body” For NPR Tiny Desk Performance

In March, Florida artist and 2020 XXL Freshman Rod Wave proved his reach in the music industry by dropping the chart-topping album SoulFly. Housing fan-favorite songs like “Tombstone” and “Streetrunner,” Rod Wave’s latest album outperformed initial sales projections and moved 130,000 album-equivalent units during its first week.

Since SoulFly‘s release, Rod Wave has revealed that he was originally supposed to be on Drake and Rick Ross’ “Lemon Pepper Freestyle” and also delivered a moving performance of “Tombstone” on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Now, NPR has released the Pray 4 Love artist’s NPR Tiny Desk (Home) Concert, for which he enlisted the talents of a fully decked-out band.

Backed by a saxophone, flute, bass, drum, and piano, Rod Wave kicks off his set by performing “OMDB” and covering the iconic intro to Drake‘s Take Care opener “Over My Dead Body.” He then takes a quick break after finishing up the song and subsequently talks about the sheer amount of hard work and effort that he put into SoulFly.

“I put a lot into this album. I feel like, personally, I hit my creative peak,” Rod Wave reveals. “I put a lot into this — a lot of thought, a lot of effort, a lot of pain.”

Elsewhere in his Tiny Desk set, Rod Wave knocks out performances of other well-received SoulFly cuts like “Streetrunner” and “Don’t Forget,” and fans of the St. Petersburg artist will also be joyed to hear that he reaches further back in his catalog to perform a stripped rendition of “Rags2Riches.”

Check out Rod Wave’s full NPR Tiny Desk (Home) Concert below.
