Czarface & MF Doom Tapped Del The Funkee Homosapien For “Jason & The Czargonauts”

It was in 2018 when Czarface and MF DOOM connected for Czarface Meets Metal Face. DOOM has always been extremely collaborative throughout his career, despite how reclusive he comes across. Ghostface even told us in a recent interview that his collaborative effort with DOOM happened through the late rapper and producer sending him beats without actually being in the same room.

DOOM’s death left many reflecting on his vast catalog over the years. On Friday, we received the first batch of posthumous verses from DOOM for his second collaborative effort with Czarface for Super What?! At 10 tracks in length, Czarface and DOOM enlist Del The Funkee Homosapien for a highlight off of the project titled, “Jason & The Czargonauts.”

Check that song out below and peep the whole project here.

Irrelevant to tag if the swag is past-tense
And karma swing backwards and drag, you can’t flinch
A thrill you deserve to feel if your ass is that dense
Like how you like them apples, confined to tin shackles

Aaron Rodgers To Guest Star On “The Conners” As “Jeopardy!” Host

Aaron Rodgers is currently in the midst of trying to get out of Green Bay as he is no longer happy with the franchise. After years of not giving him the pieces needed in order to win, Rodgers is claiming to be done with the team and if they don’t do what he wants, he will ultimately retire or at least try to sit out for a few years until his contract has run out.

In the meantime, Rodgers has expressed interest in being the permanent host of Jeopardy! He was a guest host for the show just a few weeks ago and he ended up getting rave reviews. Now, he is a prime candidate to become the full-time host and some wonder if he would leave football to pursue the gig.

Well, fuel was added to the fire recently as ABC’s hit TV show The Conners announced that Rodgers would be a guest star in an upcoming episode and that he would be playing the host of Jeopardy! as part of his cameo. What makes this interesting is that the show could have chosen any of the previous guest hosts although they stuck with Rodgers. In the end, this could mean absolutely nothing, although the timing is still significant.

Regardless, these next few weeks will be pivotal for Rodgers and we will continue to bring you the latest on his saga with the Packers.

JT & Lil Uzi Vert’s Ex Brittany Byrd Continue To Exchange Words On Social Media

Lil Uzi Vert separated from his longtime girlfriend Brittany Byrd back in 2016. Since their breakup, the next relationship the Philly rapper has ever gone public with is his budding romance with City Girl’s rapper JT. While the two seem very happy with each other, their union has not been without small scuffles in the road. For the past few days, JT has been involved in a heated social media beef with Byrd after she suspected the former girlfriend of her current beau was being shady about the couple’s leaked Arena Homme + magazine cover.

She began with the more gentle thought, “All jokes aside for someone who left someone the obsession is real, move on … be happy live your life!” before fully airing Byrd out. In more recent developments of the drama, Byrd recently took to Instagram to suggest that JT was the victim of domestic abuse, which didn’t sit well with her at all.

“I offer this to every young girl, every woman or young person following me to never give your whole life to a man, never let a man use you to attack another woman, don’t allow yourself to be abused, confused, misused enough to become an abuser. I’m too much of a womanist I am too much of a feminist to, ever allow myself to hate you,” said Byrd in an Instagram video many suspect is aimed at JT.

She continued, “You can call me homeless, but I saw you get three-pieced like a person in a Mayweather fight and asking for a hotel room and a safe environment and it just didn’t make me feel good to see that, it made me feel sorry for the girls who think that abuse is okay. You can call me everything but a child of God but I never wanna see a woman get beat, I wanna use this platform for good forreal.”

In response to this, JT shared a hot-tempered message in her Instagram story reading, “I never saw that sick a*s b*tch a day of my life!!”

She continued to deny the claims on Twitter, tagging Byrd in the tweets suggesting she made the whole thing up. Check out screengrabs of the drama above and below. Uzi has notably kept quiet through the whole debacle.

TeaMarr Gets “Specific” About Her Desires On New Single With DUCKWRTH

In today’s day and age, communication is more important than ever before. When it comes to the bedroom, this is especially the case and on TeaMarr’s latest track “Specific,” that is exactly what she is addressing. After numerous issues with past lovers, TeaMarr is fully opening up about what she wants, and to help her do so, she has also enlisted the likes of DUCKWRTH who always gets poetic with his bars.

The track has a smooth r&b feel to it all while TeaMarr delivers sexually explicit lyrics about everything she wants in the bedroom. DUCKWRTH echoes these sentiments in what proves to be an impassioned duet between the two. It’s a track that speaks on something many could learn from, and it all comes together in a track that will be featured on plenty of sex playlists this year.

Quotable Lyrics:

Can I give it to you like a little bit rough?
If you smoking on me, then boy, hog it, just puff, puff
Are you lying on me when you say you eat ass? (Hmm)
Don’t you dare get me lifted, the front and back, back

Drake Shares Sweet Photo Of Adonis & His Mom For Mother’s Day

Mother’s Day has arrived and Drake already began the celebrations earlier this year. If you recall, all of his celebrity friends received care packages of his new candle line, Better World Fragrance House which officially launched in Canada.

His appreciation for Mother’s Day has been well-documented throughout his career. This morning, he wasted no time hitting the timeline with tributes to the two most important women in his life right now: his mother and the mother of his son, Adonis.

Drake’s mom Sandy received her annual throwback tribute with the rapper sharing two throwback photos before he was even Wheelchair Jimmy. One even included the rapper rocking a throwback Raptors t-shirt, just in case you ever questioned his loyalty to the team. “Only look for sympathy inside my mothers eyes,” he wrote along with a white heart.

Of course, Sophie Brusseaux, the loving mother to his son Adonis, also received an IG shout-out from the Certified Lover Boy artist. “Happy Mother’s Day big mama @sophieknowsbetter,” he wrote along with an adorable photo of Adonis and Sophie.

While he celebrates today with Sandy, Adonis and Sophie, he’s also offering Canadian fans the opportunity to get their hands on his scented candles. The rapper partnered with Uber Eats to give away free scented candles from his Better World Fragrance Line for customers of some of his favorite local spots. The deal began on May 7th until today (May 9th) so if you’re in the Toronto area, head to UberEats to snag a free candle along with a Mother’s Day meal.

Klay Thompson’s Bad Luck And What’s Next For The Warriors

Game 6 of the 2019 NBA Finals was looking like an all-time classic NBA playoff matchup. The Toronto Raptors were taking on the Golden State Warriors in what turned out to be the final game at Oracle Arena in Oakland. Coming into this game, the Warriors were riding high as they had just defeated the Raptors in Toronto, after facing elimination. Now, with the Raptors up 3-2 in the series, the Warriors needed to win or else Toronto would walk away with their very first NBA Championship. Right out of the gate, the Raptors, particularly Kyle Lowry, came out swinging. However, Klay Thompson wasn’t about to be outdone, as he absolutely went off in what could have been an all-time performance.

Shockingly, heartbreak struck at the end of the third quarter as Thompson went down with an ACL injury. After hitting free throws, Thompson was forced to leave the game despite his desperation to remain on the floor with his teammates. In the fourth quarter, the Raptors took over and eventually won the game, bringing an end to the Warriors’ season. At the time, Kevin Durant was suffering from an Achilles injury and he had a big decision to make in free agency. Eventually, he went to go play in Brooklyn, which left Steph Curry alone with Draymond Green, and an injured Thompson.

This was significant at the time, due to the fact that the Warriors had just been to five-straight NBA Finals and had won three of them. They were a bonafide dynasty who were destined for plenty more Finals appearances. As everyone expected, the Warriors struggled in Thompson’s absence, and once Curry went down with a broken hand, their 2019-2020 campaign was over. The Warriors ended up last in the NBA and even got the second overall pick in the draft. Heading into this season, analysts had the Warriors as a top team in the Western Conference, as it was expected that Klay would return from his injury. Many felt like the Warriors would be back to their winning ways and would even contend for a title. Once again, however, the Warriors, specifically Thompson, experienced a horrendous bout of bad luck. During a training session prior to the regular season, Thompson tore his Achilles which guaranteed that he would have to miss two straight seasons with an injury.

When news of Thompson’s injury broke, fans let out a collective groan as they couldn’t believe lightning had struck twice on the same player. Not to mention, it was reported that Steph Curry and Draymond Green were distraught over the news as they knew what it would mean for their season. The Warriors went from Western Conference favorites to a team that would be lucky to make the postseason. So far, that critique has rung true as the team has struggled mightily at times, with Curry being tasked with carrying the team on his shoulders. Despite this, the Warriors have fought their way to eighth in the Western Conference and if they continue their hot streak, they could very well end up triumphant in their play-in game.

Even if the Warriors are in the playoffs, it will probably be for a very brief amount of time. After all, Curry can’t do everything right now, and without Thompson on the court, the Warriors seem to be in a state of disarray at times. It’s easy to forget that Thompson, just like Curry, is one of the greatest shooters of all-time. When all is said and done, Thompson and Curry are likely to be top-five in three-pointers made, and whenever Klay was on the court, the Warriors always had great spacing. It’s almost impossible to defend Thompson and Curry at once, as you basically have to pick and choose which one you want shooting the ball. This is a lose-lose situation no matter how you look at it, as the Splash Brothers have always proven to be assassins when it matters most. With this in mind, you can only imagine what it will be like for opposing teams once Klay comes back to the lineup.

Of course, Thompson will be coming back from ACL and Achilles injuries which are extremely difficult to recover from. However, Thompson is mostly a perimeter shooter which means he won’t be impacted as much as a power-forward would be. Yes, it’s going to be a long road back once he ends up back on the roster, although once he finds his footing, there is no telling what this Warriors team could do. Thompson will immediately turn the team into contenders again and every single squad in the West should be just a little bit scared. Don’t forget, the Warriors finished 73-9 the season before Durant got to Oakland, and that’s when the Warriors were run by Green, Curry, and Thompson. While they certainly won’t be going 73-9 again, it’s important to recognize exactly what we are dealing with here.

In a league that is dominated by super-teams, it’s become quite obvious that the Warriors are only able to stay afloat if they have all of their stars at 100 percent. While he has always played second-fiddle to Curry, it’s impossible to deny just how much Thompson means to the Warriors franchise and the Bay area as a whole. He is a career 42 percent shooter from beyond the arc and every time he touches the ball, there is a solid chance something magical happens. It’s well-documented that Curry and Green are missing him right now and if it weren’t for some bad luck over the last couple of years, the Warriors could have very well won their fourth championship, and they could have easily made another deep playoff run.

Thompson’s injury issues have stopped the Warriors’ dynasty in its tracks. It’s hard to find another example of something like this happening to a similar dynasty, which ultimately makes the Warriors a unique case. Having said that, once Thompson returns, there is a solid chance they go back to their old ways. If that does indeed happen, then the Bay Area will be celebrating for a very long time.

Steph Curry Has Curious Reaction To Potential LeBron James Play-In Matchup

Steph Curry has been carrying the Golden State Warriors on his back this season. Despite losing Klay Thompson to injury, Curry has been on a whole other level and has even brought the Warriors to eighth in the Western Conference standings. They are a couple of games back of the Los Angeles Lakers, who have fallen dramatically thanks to injuries that have plagued the likes of LeBron James and Anthony Davis.

If the season were to end today, the Lakers and Warriors would play each other in the play-in round, which would determine who gets to go to the playoffs. This would be a massive matchup that NBA fans are already salivating over. After Curry dropped 49 points last night, he was asked about potentially going up against LeBron, and he had a very interesting answer or lack thereof.

Curry just nodded silently with a smirk on his face, which just goes to show how locked in he is for this potential game. LeBron and Steph have had a huge rivalry for the better part of a decade and there is no denying that this play-in game would be a fantastic marketing ploy for the NBA.

Let us know who you think would win this match, in the comments below.

Dreamville Teases New Releases After J. Cole’s “The Off-Season”

Last week, J. Cole officially announced his next major follow-up to 2018’s KOD. Shortly after announcing The Off-Season‘s May 14th release date, he began the rollout with the single “interlude.”  “Just know this was years in the making,” he wrote of the album on Twitter while sharing the cover art. “My new album The Off-Season available everywhere 5/14.”

It seems like more artists on the Dreamville roster are planning to unleash more musical content for fans this year after J. Cole. Ari Lennox has been previewing new music to fans on social media since last fall, so the Vice President of Marketing for Dreamville recently teasing more musical releases from the label soon come.

The Dreamville Marketing VP confirmed that new music from Bas, JID, EarthGang, Cozz, Lute, and Omen will be coming soon. Labels often never publically tease new music themselves. Considering this, it’s likely music from others in the crew will begin rolling out following head honcho J. Cole’s release.

“Told myself I would drop the album all at once,” wrote Cole on Twitter shortly before releasing the first single from his upcoming project. “Sometimes you gotta say fuck it tho. New song tonight. 12 o’clock. “i n t e r l u d e” from The Off-Season.”

Let us know which Dreamville release you’re most excited about.
